I love Americans, you're always welcome here. Trump has the right to do what's best for America, but Canada needs to start building a strong partnership with more stable and predictable countries like China and certain EU nations. No more blindly following the US in their foreign policy endeavors and wars for Israel.

As a Canadian of Filipino descent, I am very proud how our Canadian leaders handle this crisis in a well-mannered approach - calm, well-reasoned, with dignity and standing on a strong ground. ?

Excruciating to watch my country go down this path. Trudeau and Sheinbaum have every right to do what they're doing, and Trudeau's strong words for Trump were needed, and refreshing to hear. I still can't believe we're here, but I'm encouraged by the resistance to ignorance and cynicism.

I have never been more proud to be Canadian. We are a strong, independent, polite and kind country. Thank you for all the support from around the globe. I have tears.

Prime Minister Trudeau is boldly hitting the nails on the head, and I admire his boldness and honesty as I've always admired Canada and its peoples. Trump is in the back pocket of the Russian dictator. His actions prove it to my satisfaction. Canada has been a staunch friend of the US, a real partner not just for economic benefits for both countries but for a democratic way of life. Canada is a strong democracy whose people are known for their open hearts and minds. I pray that this idiotic trade war started by a man who is subservient to Putin will come to an end. I say to Canadians, let us stick to our common values of democracy, free expression, peaceful borders, and our commitment to the greatest good of the many rather than the greatest good of the few and the Russian dictator.

Speaking as an American. A REAL American who stands by our Constitution and the laws of our land and not with a TRAITOR. We do NOT want this. I have always been clueless to how Americans can hear what this traitor says and support it. It reminds me of the movie Shalow Hal. I’m Canadian. My family have always been Liberals but I’m not much of a Trudeau fan myself. For today, it doesn’t matter whether you like the man or not, Trudeau deserves a standing ovation for his speech and the actions he is taking.
