Ah yes, the trade war that Canada will surely lose. I love Canada. Wouldn't trade it for the world, but this is a losing battle by which citizens on both sides will feel the full effect. Trump appeasing Putin is a chess move, that the PM seems to be overlooking. The US can't afford to go to war with Russia, but at the same time, it needs resources within Russia's neighboring region. So the US will do what they always do, and had people listened to what Kissinger had to say, they'd be better prepared for this. Nonetheless, let's stand proud and strong, and come together as Canadians in order to get through this.

Great, unambiguous words by the Canadian president! But one of his remarks stood out: he said that the tyrants want to divide us. He is correct, of course. But the implications are profound! This means that Trudeau himself is measuring his words and deliberately using diplomatic language. He even says that Trump is “intelligent”, which only plays into the imbecile’s unfortunate NPD psychology! The unwillingness to stand strong against American tyranny is harming democracy worldwide! Force Trump to declare a side! And make him choose Putin or democracy NOW!! If you fail to do that, you are taking the path of accommodation, and if Trump is really a tyrant (which he surely is, because of MANY evidences!!), democratic countries weaken their position by not standing strong NOW. If Europe and Canada and Mexico ban Tesla imports and place 50% tariffs on tens of billions of dollars of American products, what would happen? Are these countries AFRAID of the United States? This is not the time for fear! This is the time for courage! Boycott!!!

I am a US citizen and will never call felon47 my president. He cares nothing about our country or citizens not to speak of how he has lied about and treated our Canadian friends. I called the Canadian embassy in Washington DC this morning. I told them as an American citizen. It saddens me and breaks my heart that we are treating our allies with such disrespect. I do not stand with the United States government and their treatment of our allies. I also called the Mexican embassy and told them the same thing. I didn’t announce Trump in his cabinet and what they’re doing to our economy that we have worked so hard to resurrect again after he was president last time. I, urge every person who does not agree with what is going on to call the Canadian and the Mexican embassies and just let them know that we stand in solidarity with them and against our government here!

Everyone thinks that this is Canada standing up, but what this means is that the Canadians with our economy that is 1/10 that of the US will be taxed at 25% on our imports, this is going to hurt canadians way more than the retaliatory terrifs will hurt the americans. This may also lead to an escalated response from the US exacerbating the effect. I'm Canadian. And in my 50s. We've always tended to joke back and forth about stereotypes from our countries. I've always felt we looked up to American ideals ideas and this is why we felt strong to stand with America with many things. I've sometimes not been happy with our Prime Minister but he left a mark, and I'm proud our country is more united but I'm sad at what cost. I hope this is short lived..
