I have never been so embarrassed to be an American. Its heart breaking that we allowed this to happen even with all the warning signs. I have protested, attended town halls, emsiled all my state representatives and every attempt can only have power if the people we elected go to bat for us. They are not doing so. My godson's parents, who he loves and respects and helps financially, are undocumented immigrants here in the US for 30 yrs. He lives in a community of undocumented folks. He and his brother voted for Trump. His whole family understands the consequences of so many people being here illegally. They all understand that being here illegally is a way for our government and the elite to use and abuse people much more easily. When you have as large of a percentage of the population who aren't protected by their citizenship and the laws and who can't access the full benefits of citizenship and who are always scared of being caught and will take less pay, people can be used and abused more easily.

As a Canadian..i'll say this. Our country is a bad shape right now...and the countless 'extra' people, mostly indians, are not helping. We need immigration. I am not against it. But I am against illegal migration and resource sucking. There is no legit vetting process anymore. Countless indians are being given visas that were granted on bogus claims on their documents. Fake education records...fake employement records. Then they get their visa...and don't go 'home' when it expires. Then they have what indians like to call 'anchor babies'....so that their baby has Canadian citizenship and then they hope that pity will be taken and they, the parents, won't be shipped home. They don't assimilate and totally disregard our way of life. It is appauling.

I live in nyc getting on the bus and subway is horrible seeing these illegal people dress better than working people sending thier money back to thier countries they get more help than those who live here I worked in a homeless shelter caught a horrible parasite infection which I'm still fighting I can't work welfare refused to help me with rent electric they denied me immediate help gave me 71 dollars every 2 weeks in cash and 290 in foodstamps I can't pay electric with that let alone rent phone internet other bills etc meanwhile these people get iPhones new sneakers clothes thousands in cash upon arriving thousands in foodstamps health insurance etc free rent free everything but I can't get help I had a broken ankle they wouldn't even move to let elderly or disabled sit on busses and subway they disrespect the rules workers people in stores I witnessed for myself

One of our biggest problems for years, which is extremely hard to understand is that a lot of our immensely ignorant and corrupt lawmakers make the laws protect the criminals, better than the people who pay their wages to protect the good people. We pay them to screw us and help protect the criminals.

The people and programs that want to help illegals are making money. If someone down the food chain is helping from a heartfelt belief, they are being played.
