I disagree with your analysis, I'm Asian American and most of my friends are all different colors and races. Allot of us have a very active lifestyle, if your an indoor type of person then you will obviously prefer staying indoors. I think why most people want to immigrate to a America is economical and social freedoms. I'm sure it might be very exciting in Africa, but Its chaotic, lawless and economically depressed. Quietly homeownership will disappear over the next 25-50 yrs. Big business will own most homes in big city. The rich will make sure they have control more and more, farmers will lease/rent the land and homes will be rented. Only big business will be able to pay the maintenance and taxes on buildings and land soon and also right it off. Just wait until the next big recession when many lose pensions, jobs, investments, and bitcoin crashes. Not only will it be dual income families instead of single income nowadays…it will be 2 families in homes, quadruple income and working until they are 65 or even 70….trudeau smiles and pretends he will fix everything while Canadians suffer more and more. If you have a chance to sell and then buy in a safer community, do it now because if you have not noticed a lot more homeless and vanlifers yet, or occupied camper trailers in friends and families driveways then you will notice soon, try and buy where crime is less of an issue while homes are easy to buy and sell.

After few blocks they have open space, park for kids and play ground. Such as NY city. Go to Queens or Brooklyn or Bronx or even Manhattan. Please don’t scare people! I have a doubt, my wife is doing her masters from nova Scotia but she has to study online for her first semester from India, now because of this she will not be able to fulfill the condition of 16 months in Canadabefore graduation. Though ircc has announced that any study done online from outside canada will be considered in Canada but not sure if that time will be considered in Atlantic province. Outside the big cities sure Quebec might have lower rentals but in the big cities they are almost at par with Alberta. An average 2 bedroom apartment today is 1500 or more per month. So you would need an average 100k annual salary in order to live a comfortable existence.

as a Canadian born and bread I am sadden to hear the challenges of new comers but there are a couple pieces of advice I can offer. even Canadians have to build references at adulthood. there are ways to start out. volunteering provides not only references but a sense of contribution and and community. educators and agencies you engage with as do religious institutions and any organizations you may come evolve with for references. as far as the climate dress in\n layers, invest in sturdy boots with good tread in the colder months and to get outside and learn not only to embrace but enjoy the colder months. hike the trails. the trails year round. you can pick up a cheap pair of grippers for your boots in the sporting goods department of any Canadian tire. pick up a cheap toboggan and slide down a hill. snowshoeing after a fresh fallen snow requires endurance but very little skill. its lovely how quiet how still and silent the woods are in the winter. how bright and visible the winter landscape is at night and how lush and green the woods in summer. if in Ontario definitely visit the falls. you can find culture and history in both Montreal and Quebec especially old Quebec. most people in both are bilingual in French and English and even a word or two of French is appreciated and you can be sure of a response in English.youd also be surprised at how possible it is to communicate even with a language barrier. if you are close to Toronto, you can explore many different cultures in both neighborhoods and events. Quebec!! Woot woot n#1 for sure!!

We tried to move to Ottawa but we couldn’t leave Quebec. It’s our home and we got homesick fast. Montreal is a fun city and the restaurants are the best. Sure the taxes are high but we have great affordable daycare systems, great restaurants and overall great homes. All of Canada is great my heart will always be in Quebec

As someone who spend some time in Vancouver, really considered to get more years visa I will compare with my home country Czech Republic and European-Union at all. I only find benefits in Canada:\n - big Czech comunities in Vancouver and Rockies and Toronto, its very heartwarming spending time with these people, getting contacts etc.\n- incredible nature\n- stay far from Russia (these days)\n\nBut It is not so big deal in case of money (pay/living ration), payed holiday (we have 5 weeks as standard), healthcare (I know people who FLY FROM CANADA TO EU for dentist) and distances. LIke evening trip after work is almost impossible. Going abroad is soooo far compare to Europe etc. I love Canada, at least for roadtrips, but I am not sure if starting from scratch, getting canadian experience really trade off

Not sure how Ontario made it to #4. Here's a realistic description: Unaffordable, ugly, boring, overcrowded, very stressful, you need to work 80 hours a week to afford your $8000.00 mortgage or rent, worst restaurants, clubs, shopping and entertainment, crime is shooting through the roof, a developers dream so little urban or suburban green space. Yes, anything in northern Ontario is nice but it's quickly all becoming a hot mess. People are nasty, really really nasty and only care about their own lives, cars and houses...one huge competition to the finish line here. We just bought our retirement house in NB because we decided there is no way we want to retire in Ontario!

My experience about Canada after living here for a few years now: \n1): Healthcare: There are two sides of it. If you need a specialist, forget about it, just live with your disease or problems and hope it will cure itself and won’t get worse. If you are in a life threatening condition and need a surgery, you’ll get it and the medical bill won’t scare you. I needed a dermatologist, never got one, eventually had to fly to the US for a simple treatment. \n2): Taxes: You’ll pay extra to take care of the large aging population of Canada and to maintain the infrastructure in the extreme cold weather. But, you can make a good use of your RRSP and TFSA accounts, and you can also buy American stocks without paying taxes. \n3): Travel and transportation: Forget about public transportation methods like buses and trains. You’re on your own. But a vehicle ownership isn’t very hard here. \n4): Social networking: Good luck with that. Good luck finding friends here or being a part of a friends group. Canadians are polite but not outgoing and extrovert. Most people make a few friends in Schools and College. You’re not going to see people of different races and origin hanging out with each other. \n5): Real estate: Population is growing, population is aging, it’s all happening but what’s not many houses are getting built. Buying your own house isn’t easy. If you’ve bought one, good luck with the energy prices. \n5): Landscape: It’s gorgeous out here, if you want to be happy in Canada, go out for sightseeing.\n6): Jobs: Totally depends in which jobs you can fit in and what previous experience you have. Always been friends? Thats funny because pretty sure that iff WW2 had not happened, Canada would have invaded the US as payback for the 1812 war. Because without WW2, the US never gets a war economy, all they have are riffle foot soldiers. Meanwhile Canada was already in a war economy due to its massive involvement in WW1 and viewed the US as a rival with a dangerously high population.
