Here's the elephant in the room..the moral of the story is...when it comes to people having to put up real money to protect their business from theft, white people can be trusted... no one else can be... otherwise businesses wouldn't worry about it or spend money trying to combat it. The position is already filled ....to the person with the different accent or non European name. Being followed around the store is standard practice..... Shoppers drug mart , Jean Coutou , Best Buy, Bulk Barn , I mean Bulk Barn , with tons of bulk in bins. At the Royal Vic ....a public hospital in Montreal , the non white patient is made to wait for hours as his file for some reason is placed at the bottom of the pile . At a Club in Montreal the non white guy is told that he cannot enter because of his running shoes. His white friends reports later that running shoes were on display at this watering hole. And then there is the not so subtle case of Ketchup squirted on the head of this visible minority kid who was having a beer and minding his own business. I am the person in question . I am non white and I hold a PhD from Mc Gill . I encountered these experiences as a foreign student in 1982. I visited Ottawa last month 2019 .....you guessed it , Bulk barn at Billings bridge profiled me as a danger to the corn flakes bin. Canada is a wonderful country in many respects but it has a side which whites will not normally see because of the pervasiveness of white privileged.

Stupid laws help criminals to make lots of money. And, people see no good reason to comply with irrational laws like this, so they find ways around them. \nIf you're granted permanent residency, why do you have to keep proving residency?\nWhat next? Fining citzens for going on holiday for too long and hence not paying enough into the Canadian Economy? If so, the CEO's of many major Canadian businesses will be hung out to dry. So, I suppose that's a stupid law which won't be brought in, as it would hurt the wrong people.

That computer test proves nothing...people relate to people who are most similar to them. Period. \n\nLets pull the data on how many black people discriminate against black people. For example, do black landlords who own and rent expensive apartments treat every applicant the same? Will they accept more whites or more blacks? Will they show preference to people with higher incomes? What about single moms? The disabled? Obviously business people are going to make decisions which they believe will produce the best outcome. \n\nOur behavior is based largely on past experience and knowledge. If I get burned 80% of the time I touch the stove, then I will learn to be cautious 100% of the time I go to touch it. Every person, no matter their race, dress, age, etc., deserves dignity and a certain amount of respect.

Landlords and businesses owners want money, simple. I work at Boeing and I cant get promoted. I was a sergeant in the Army. Now I am a Sergeant in the Guard. I came to the company with an associate degree in business management. Other people with no college at all are getting the promotions. And there is a bachelor's degree requirement. Several managers have told me its not about how hard you work but who you know. I am almost done with my bacholar degree. But, I dought I will get promoted because I am black.

I'd like to say I've never been followed, but unfortunately, I have. It's not something that happens to me most of the time but I have noticed it from time to time. My girlfriend, on the other hand, is darker than me, more masculine in her attire, and more every day casual versus my business casual. She is followed and stopped all the time.

As a retired Police Officer I pay attention to people who spend alot of time in certain isles without a shopping cart. And I think he was carrying a shopping bag. I'm black. I have seen white people walk through the grocery store eating chips, packaged danish and drinking soda, finish eating and leave the wrappings on a shelf, never thinking about paying. I saw a young black mother in CVS take toothpaste and drop it in the baby dag in the back of the baby carriage, without paying. If you work in a store they are told to watch out for shoplifters. I've seen video of white people joking they can go shoplifting anytime because the store employees or security are so busy watching black people. Unfortunately minorities are watched more. If I go in my handbage, or backpack I go into the main isle where everyone can see what I'm doing. They don't need to guess what I'm doing. That's just me.

During past 18 years I have travelled lots in various countries and seen so many settled people who are origin from respective country or are settled from ages . But you also note that thay had gone through with same as beginner going through, or might b lot . I like your post, and doesn't notice any ego or proud in that . I like that . But what I mean to say is everyone from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Bangladesh , before come in English country or in any country, are starting very big dreams and after step into new country they don't accept positive things and blames only those countries where thay have gone for higher education or for earning money. Still they stay there and says here is blot like india , dongle come here , or we have to do this type of job .They don't have servants there, they have to wash their clothes themselves, cook themselves and clean house themselves . That's why thay are saying bad words for that country and still they want path of permanent residence of that country. I am not against of india but if you are staying in English country for 6 months, I request you please make video for how government works for their people, how smooth you can run your business without giving bribe to government officers , how police officers are doing their job and how pure is system . And please all these compare in India and suggest life is easy there or not . I love my country and during my 18 years in UK , I came back to India with my family to settle down the rest life but because of some government officers ( on each step asking bribe for business) , and not getting support from government, decided to go back to UK .I mean to say in English country there is value for poor person or for rich person. In india government hospital are free but look how they treat the patient. Please compair each sector and make video. If you do this would be very grateful. This is done routinely by Chinese people. Similar situation in Australia. The vast majority of the Chinese 'businessmen' and officials registered barely spend a day in a year in the country they are supposedly ordinarily resident in. It's about preparing for the very real threat of when something goes awry back home or they fall out of favour with a honcho bigger than them they have an escape path and they can not be extorted with their families. For this, ultra-wealthy Chinese are more than willing to throw some money around by investing in unprofitable businesses, buying real estate or flat out handing some money to that country's government and go through the bureaucratic hurdles of committing fraud.

What killed me is she was eligible for the Working Poor Tax Credit. It goes to show how easy these rules are to exploit. Someone could sit down and calculate exactly what they need to make, how many children they need to have, what activities to pursue etc so they can gain access to all these tax benefits. Make the most money while paying the least tax. There was an article in the nation post about this which discussed Trudeau's statement that the poor do not pay tax. It is crazy the tax credits people get and it makes it so something like close to 40% of people do not actually pay tax. Its one thing when working canadian's benefit, but not Chinese business people who come here, buy a house, maintain their status under false pretenses, then get credits for being poor.

When applicants applied on their own to avoid the exorbitant fees charged, the immigration office give them hard time only to find out that agencies can easily manipulate the system thus the deserving applicants won't get an approval. The 27,000 quota for 2019 has been met for only 11 minutes. so how can the ordinary people compete with the agencies who's business is to push their own clients to get processed? Wang only served 2 yrs out of 7, does that mean he paid for the remaining 5 yrs imprisonment ? The penalty of $900,000++ is such a small amount to compensate of what he did and so he will keep on doing it because he can get rich easily.
