How about living in Europe? Does anyone have the experience to share? This video makes me contemplate my plan to study and live in Europe ?. I'm from Asia and no doubt life in Asia is full of color.

It's because everything is so spread out from each other in Canada and the USA. This is the same for countries such as Australia, New Zealand, etc, and only some places in Europe. When people live so far spread out from each other, there's no social interactions. So, people much more lonelier and more angry too.

I am from Pakistan. Studied and lived in USA for over 10 years. Don't know where my time has gone so fast. Life is very busy in usa (I lived in Chicago, Denver, Orange County, CA and LA. People have to work two jobs to ends meet. Most people have to share housing...that really sucks. Constant expense (rent or mortgage payments are so high people have to constantly work. Whatever time people get they run chores and stay home and chill. You see ultra rich or people on welfare having fun at the beach. I have had a very close friend from pakistan came to usa same time as I did. we both never had enough time to meet up on regular basis. even when we met we had so many things in back of our minds running. I had couple of girlfriends (of course at different times) but they had other boyfriends at the same time. And number one thing they had on their mind is was get money from you. What you wear and drive is what you are. People consider you obsolete if you wear non branded shoes or older models of branded shoes. I traveled extensively in the US and Canada. But in East Europe like Romania and Poland I found people very friendly. Now I am back in pakistan facing basic problems like traffic jams, noisy honking streets and so on but for some reason i feel worriless and relax. whenever i go out, people start to talk to you and you feel like home. everyone is super friendly and is available for help. however you cant really trust people with money though. hahahha. After living in USA for so long I do really miss many things about it though. the efficient system is definitely a big plus. and i have realized that some times i like being all alone for extensive period of times. but knowing that i can meet up anyone any time gives me peace of mind. i have realized hard way that man made martials can amuse you to some extent only. you need live beings are you.

Brother, I hear you! I live in the U.S., but I have also lived in Europe for decades. The U.S. is extremely boring, especially during the winter..

Being Belgian myself and having worked in africa for a few years, I was surprised to see how happier people in those countries were compared to us Europe or North Americans!!! In spite of living in poorer countries, they have much less issues with loneliness, suicide and depression!!! Also, Africans tend to be much less indebted than North Americans as their banks do not have this stupid credit score system that out too much pressure on people!!! I know that as I live in Canada and the credit system just is a piece of crap… une vraie merde!

Born in Eastern Europe (four-season climate), I thought I will get used to the weather in Canada ( Toronto ) but being in 'the dark' for 7 months gets you in time - high suicidal rates and depression not to exclude the drug and alcohol abuse of the populous. I love the sun and water scenario (not the humid one as a result of lake Ontario) wish I knew all that years ago when I had to make a choice.

Here in Europe we have a very similar view to be honest though the citys are less spread out and things are more kept nicely

Loved this video. Am studying abroad in Europe and the social structure is miles apart from what I have been used to in Kenya. I am an introvert and love being indoors but I definitely miss the opportunity to gather with friends and strangers to watch football matches or just popping up at a friend's house to have conversations. I definitely don't want to be broiler chicken when I go back home??

They are European, not Canadian. Let the EU deal with the evacuees since it is to blame for much of what is happening in Ukraine. If they stay in Europe they'll be that much closer for when they return after the conflict is over to start rebuilding. Let us deal with our own homeless people first.

Because Europe is welcome to Ukrainian people.but not for Afghan and Syrian refugees are being kicked out of the sea that’s why .

How many so-called 'refugees' are really Azoz and other fascists disguised? Same game being played before.\nOr, how many are CATHOLICS? People need to look into how this 'immigration' game works, and how its always worked.\nMaybe they should go back to the Vatican rat lines and the Red Cross getting Nazis and Stasi out of Europe.

SINCE EUROPE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE POVERTY IN AFRICA, IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE FOR AFRICANS TO LOOK TO EUROPE FOR THE LIFE THEY SEEK.

I remember this . The hatred and lies and fear mongering of how Islam was going to take over world and bring Islamic law . Never happened even close . What lies ! Now we have a real war in Europe I guess that’s Islam’s fault . Love thy neighbor ! Don’t get involved with war . In Jesus Name

As someone who spend some time in Vancouver, really considered to get more years visa I will compare with my home country Czech Republic and European-Union at all. I only find benefits in Canada:\n - big Czech comunities in Vancouver and Rockies and Toronto, its very heartwarming spending time with these people, getting contacts etc.\n- incredible nature\n- stay far from Russia (these days)\n\nBut It is not so big deal in case of money (pay/living ration), payed holiday (we have 5 weeks as standard), healthcare (I know people who FLY FROM CANADA TO EU for dentist) and distances. LIke evening trip after work is almost impossible. Going abroad is soooo far compare to Europe etc. I love Canada, at least for roadtrips, but I am not sure if starting from scratch, getting canadian experience really trade off

I've been living in Toronto my whole life and for me personally I wouldn't live anywhere else in Canada! I've been to Quebec a bunch of times but that's about it. Our Country tries to promote for Canadians to travel and explore our own country but it's stupid expensive. Why would I pay for a flight to BC when for the same price and time spent on an airplane just go to Europe! I go to Europe every year because it offers a million more things to explore. The other thing that sucks about Canada (though it's beautiful) it doesn't have a lot of major cities and the ones we do have are very scarcely separated. I love living here but if I had to recommend this country to a tourist, I'd say meh just go see the US because it has the same and more.

Just so you know Europe is massivly deporting. If not in your country then in third countries. Put this effort into change your own countries in better places. At a point, you need to do it

moved back to eastern Europe after 27 years of Canada... my best friends are Quebecois and my wife (Quebecois again) convinced me to move. The best thing I have done, especially for my kids... no waiting on family doctors, in 20 min you drop your kids to school and are at work, no over taxation, weather you can actually enjoy 365 days a year and very apparent after a while, no press/media dictatorship like the one in Canada.

Canada is the best place you can find in all of North America but the quality of life is low compared to Europe. I immigrated to Canada for my wife 10 years ago but I regret leaving Northern Italy

I actually don't object , particularly, to my high taxes in Canada. I do object to the fact that it took me , 15 extra working years to achieve a reasonable income due to the cost of an education being beyond my reach. Now that I have a reasonable income, I find those high taxes spent poorly. Dental care and extended medical or medications? Not covered.\n\nSo where do these high taxes go? Comparing my tax rate to the functional half of Europe's countries, it's about the same, more or less. \n\nBut they have better health care, affordable education and housing.\n\nAnd as others have pointed out, despite living in the biggest city, it's still relatively boring to many of the Major cities I've stayed in globally.\n\nI recommend Canada to immigrants who would enjoy a Rural or Suburban lifestyle that still has access to amenities and infrastructure. There are more opportunities in some ways, and the costs of living are much more affordable. But if you are interested in an urban life with what that has come to mean globally, the best Canadian cities can offer you is 'diverse restaurant options'.

Canada is a shitty country with a small population. \nWith less than 40 m people in a country the size of Europe, Canada is a shithole . \nPeople who migrate to England would never leave unless they are wanted by the law .

If you have to pay for your dentist, some surgeries and health expenses just take a plane and flight to Mexico, Colombia where dentists and doctors are even better than here in Canada and you have to pay only 10% of what you are paying in Canada and you’ll have holidays for free in a warmer country. Life is getting unpredictable in Europe, China or USA so from my point of view Canada is a safer place to live in the next 10 or 20 years even your way of life or income won’t be so high. Energy, food, transport, health, virus problems will be traumatic in many European countries, China or USA and also some Latin American countries where people will be impoverished because of left wing parties in power like it’s happening in all Latin America.

Thank you for your entertaining video. Hard to fit such a diverse and beautiful country in in short video. There was no mention of Québec City. Out of the most beautiful province in Canada, Québec city is the birthplace of the nation....and a slice of Europe! Skiing in Canada in the province of Québec on the ancient Appalachians....or in the Rockies of British Columbia....EPIC! As well, Canada has 2 official languages nation wide.

I do love Canada , it was my first love moving from poor, war ravaged country in Vietnam. But it is no longer the country that I used to know. I've lived mostly in Vancouver and Toronto and I can tell you,If you got a family and you're not making 10-15k/month, feesl like you're just scraping by. Tdot was good when I moved there in 1984,TTC rides and cup of coffee used to be just a quarter and houses were just about 100k on average. Now its almost impossible to live near the core of the city to buy a house unless ure making high six figure or move out to smaller cities like Brantford or Windsor to buy one. Not only that but nothing is letting up here, food , insurance, gas ,taxes we gettin hosed to death here. After 40 years here, think Ive seen enough,Im cashing out my house in Vancouver, shipping out to Eastern Europe to retire.

Both my parents immigrated from Europe so I can relate to many of the comments.\nSo, what I see is that Canada is a country of mostly heavy industry which often requires people to live in rural, remote, isolated communities. Canada is a big country so transportation is a significant part of it's economic foundation. Most people do not come here wanting to live up north or drive a commercial truck. They want to live in a big city and have a professional job.\nClearly the government has done a poor job of conveying what is needed (Trudeau is pretty clueless to be honest).\nIf you want to be in demand go rural and go north.

Which country are these people talking about on the comments? Canada is a top 5 worldwide country and surpass 95% of all places on earth in quality of life, career, stable economy etc. They talk like Vancouver/Toronto downtown is the only place to live here. Europe is an old dump and fallen in every sense, and there are tons of them arriving in Canada every fucking day. Too much BS in here

I have thought this at least 1 million times but 1 million time my mind replied to me, ''Why to go in a country of crooked minded people and lawless state where Policemen are thieves, army men are politicians, politicians are lawless and religious people are sellable & they promote extremism in mosques everywhere in Pakistan, rich are tax-offenders and poor are crushed in poverty. In other words, stones are fastened but dogs are at large''. Someone please do translation my all above words in Urdu and explain to overseas emotional Pakistanis not to think emotionally and do not make wrong decision of their lives.
\nFact of the matter is that both doctors are over-exaggerations. It is easy to act on Islam in Europe than in the so-called Medina state or Islamic state of Pakistan. These couple are saying that in UK Schools, they teach about gayism? no, no , no....... they teach them how to be tolerant with them. In schools they teach them how to respect the other faiths and their traditions and do not bad-mouth them the way your society bad-mouth other faiths in their mosques and the social medias. Have not you seen what you guys do with the most vulnerable people, called HIJRAS in Pakistan??? Is is Islamic? You use them for sex, abuse then and look down upon them in Pakistan. Islamic values?????????????huh! Is it Pakistani Islam or real Islam. Real Islam is much bigger than the narrow-minded Pakistani mentality. In the UK, In Hospitals they (European countries) do not hire SAFAARISHEE DOCTORS and their doctors do not strike for money and kill hundreds of patients and do not shoot to police during protests..... Islamic values??????? huh!!. In Europe, They do not patronize your faith, they do not define your faith calling which sect is Muslim and who is not and they let you groom according to your talent in every walk of life. This is called Islamic values. They only dislikes when Muslims try to mess their system and they want their Governments to act like they are Islamic states. I think Pakistan is a really a sickening state, not made for poor but for Nawaabs, rich army men and bureaucrats. Let crocked minded people stay there because this system suits them. When these doctors will be screwed up by Pakistani system of corruption; guess what: THEY WILL RUN AWAY & BACK TO England. Both are Crazy doctors, they are talking like Pakistani politicians now... Islamic values in Pakistan?????????????ridiculous. When they will see TLP goons breaking cars of people, when you will see ambulances stopped from going to hospital, when they will see innocent killings of minorities, when yo both will see discrimination in the name of faith and race in Pakistan and when they will see bribery in every walk of life, they will change their mind. I think acting upon Islam is far easier to follow in England than in Pakistan and its screwed up/lawless system. It is very nice to hear Dr JAVED sb, sugar-coating Pakistan and its so-called Islamic values. Dr sb, Take interview of this lovely couple after two year when they go back to Pakistan and their views will be different. In two years they will be thinking how and when to pack up and kick off from Pakistan which is a breeding land of terrorism, where water is expensive than blood of a poor person.

when it comes to cultural differences, what you said there is a huge huge generalization. Why? Some preferred cultural behavior might be true for tiny nations (or small geographic areas). That is because of rather reasonable distances, habits could spread all over that area within past centuries (that is how all that is made). But talking even about Russians is a heavy stereotype. By best guess your Russians from around Moscow area and those close to eastern Chinese borders would differ more than those groups of of Chinese (or Mongolian if Mongolia is also close by), that are right on the other side of that eastern border with their Russian counterparts. And of course by Russians I mean here citizens of Russia and not their ethnicity. \nSo Saying how Europeans are all reserved (which funny enough if you mean Europe geographically would include Moscow), is just a huge misstep. It is like calling all USA citizens to be same way (something you might really want to avoid doing if ever you visit USA).\nAlso Climate. First of all Ontario is not the other name for Toronto or GTA area. It is rather big province. So that weather heavily depends if you are sitting in Toronto, Ottawa, North Bay or Windsor. That humid weather as you stated is only truth for the parts that are closer to those big lakes.\nAnd for the love of god. Canada DOES NOT have a paid insurance. Each province has its own paid insurance. So while certain things might be free in one province (like emergency ambulance), it is partially paid in other province.

I live in Ontario but really want to move to quebec or Bc(may be the greener grass on the other side) . The problem with Bc is that it's too far away from Europe and Pakistan but it's so beautiful. Quebec I can move but I don't know french. My wife and children can speak though. May I should learn some

100% согласен с вами, дамы! My wife and I decided to leave Canada long ago (after 10 years of living here) and move to England ( my wife is English ). We hate everything about Canada but nature. And will never regret our decision. Europe is way better in many aspects. Money is not everything and we already experienced that. Hopefully we'll never have to come back!!!

My experience exactly and why I moved back to Europe

I’ve lived in Canada my whole life, I’ve gone through a year of culinary school and passed high school with decent grades. Yet still improving my quality of life is an uphill battle. Bus prices and efficiency is awful, if you don’t have a car good luck cause you’ll spend much of your wage on bus fare and still have to walk through poor sidewalk systems to get to your destination. Schooling really didn’t teach me anything about taxes, or getting a job. But let me tell you I sure as heck know how to lease a car.... can’t wait to get a job so I can do that. My year of culinary training, under 4 red seal chefs has gotten me not one job. No matter how perfect you are for the role is you will ALWAYS get an entry level position first. (In my experience at least) and they are completely right, references are 100% key. I have a first shift tomorrow (wish me luck) that I only got because my chiropractor gave the pancakes house owner his reference. Very weird but I’ll take it. On top of all this winter just sucks, politics have gone nowhere in years, and if you don’t live in the major cities of Quebec, BC, or Ontario it’s going to be even harder. Plus living in Manitoba is odd cause people always call it “friendly Manitoba” but everyone (including me) is always frustrated. Needless to say I’m in the process of researching new place to move to, most likely in Europe cause America has all the same problems. (But worse)

Canada is a beautiful country and every place has it's perks and negative aspects. Have seen much of the eastern side of Canada and loved every place. Maybe one day I will be able to see the western side. Boy is this country big. Lived in Europe for a few years and visited so much places in so many countries where I have done pretty much the same distance in Canada and did not see half of the country yet.

Maybe Top 10 best cities in Europe next ?
|
| 2021-11-01 | 2 |
Nice video. I came to this country over 20 years ago, and chose to have partners from other countries which is sometimes a challenge, but nevertheless worth it. Canada's climate looks pretty cold and unpleasant now, but with climate change, anywhere around the great lakes it might be one of the last good places to live towards the end of the century. Maybe is just me, but I never really cared about paying taxes. I just see it as a social good. Sometimes I would like to move back to Europe because I can fly for cheap and see many different countries, but then I realize I will never be accepted anywhere there as I am here.
|

All very good points and things to consider before moving. I guess some points go for more countries because moving to another culture is hard anywhere. You forgot to mention all the crazy mandates concerning Covid. I know it's everywhere but I have close contact with my sister in Europe and I can say that Canada is going WAY OVERBOARD with the government control on the citizens. Now, (Nov.30) they will refuse unvaccinated residents to leave the country. WHAAAT?

I immigrated to Canada as a young child with my parents and hold dual citizenship (EU). Personally, the main reason why I still remain in Canada is because of the nature. I really value the vast expanses of untamed forest, the impressive lakes and endless hiking, trekking and canoeing opportunities. You can do all of those things in Europe, of course, but because the population density is so much higher, it's hard to get a beautiful pristine spot all to yourself (unless maybe you're in Scandinavia). And you're never too far off from a town. Whereas in Canada, it can be hundred of kms before you reach a town! If I were more turned on by city life, I'd probably have moved back to Europe a long time ago. There are some nice and aesthetically pleasing portions of certain cities in Canada (i.e Montreal), but overall cities here are not as beautifuland stimulating as their European counterparts. But that's just my opinion :-)

I would be honest with you most of people who leave Canada can have a good life in their home countries (mainly people who say this are from Europe or advanced country in Asia ), well if in your home country you can't make a life at all then what's the point of going back and what I'm taling about here is mainly African countries where everything is expensive and scarce, us living in third country we can even make enough money for a cost of flight alone in a one year of work, wages here can come to be 50$ USD a month that's if your lucky (and not even to say that you will spend most of them on food and health care)
