My parents and my little sister moved 3 years ago in Quebec, I went there once to visit and it was actually a beautiful place to be. I'm french so we don't really have the same mindset BUT we get used to it. People are kinda nice and there is so much stuff to do ^^ I plan to go back visit them but also to visit Toronto and Vancouver. It'll be fun. I don’t really know how to answer to the question if I need a sponsorship when applying to a work in Canada. Like dude I was born in Canada and my parents are immigrints who came legally so I can tell you my side. A non biast side. Since I live and work here I can tell u most people of colour r welcoming, however most people who are here and have trouble finding work dont wanna see more people come and make it harder like texas and arizonia. Montreal is Canada's second largest city after Toronto and both cities are actually very similar. You do need French to survive but you can get away without it especially in downtown Montreal because most people are perfectly bilingual. Our metro (subway) is the third busiest subway in North America after Toronto and New York. The city itself is very vibrant and ethnically diverse. Unlike Vancouver or even Toronto, there are always activities to attend especially in the summer. Most of our music festivals tend to be free except for Osheaga which is the Canadian Coachella!

Um... (1) Living in Alberta, I pay overall less tax than someone in my tax bracket living in California. We don't all have high taxes. (2) Montréal is allo-lingual, and probably 80% able to speak English in its core. Quebec City is primarily French. (4) We have publically funded, not free, healthcare, and regulated pharmacare, private eye and dental care (5) you typically tip anyone who provides you a personal service - you should include valets, housekeeping, consierge services, porters and anyone who provides exceptional service. Get out of Vancouver, Canada is big.

we don't need anymore moving to Canada. we need our Canadian system to actually start taking care if canadians. born and raised. we're giving foreigners money and houses yet charging their own people 1400++ for bachelor units where you can get the luxury of pissing where you eat.

Emotional and physical damages are often permanent; one a child or a person is poison and traumatise, there's no coming back. Many Lower Class U.S citizens who do want to move for better job oppertunites for skill working who want to move to Canada. There is an issue for many. That is Canada is backwards on the helping those with disability and getting assistance or help for any disability. Those coming to Canada if husband, wife or child has a disability they will discriminate against them, especially if the person was on SSDI or SSI. If your husband/wife, fiance/fiancee has disability but you have duel citizenship between U.S and U.K they make it hard for prospective significant other that is on SSDI or SSI from coming to Canada with you and see them even if they were Self-Employed in U.S as a financial burden. Many I know have dealt with this stigmatizing by Canada over a disability significant other so they live in Canada but work in U.S to keep from Financial struggle Canada puts on them for daring to fall in love with a disabled significant other reguardless where the disabled significant other is from which is very, very sad.
