This video needs to be public on the official Immigration Canada site as a testimony for people before deciding coming over here. Canada is a brand that does not deliver. As a Canadian, USA is better in every aspect.\n\n And please dont tire yourself if you are about to come with the free healthcare and no guns argument. Go take your fake moral high ground elsewhere.

I am born in Canada. If I had an in demand education I would be gone in a heart beat. The political system is broken. The taxes are ever increasing and the cost of living seems to keep pace with taxes. Wages are stagnant and our freedoms seem to be disappearing by the month. \nWhen you place a 6 month long winter on top of all that it makes it very obvious why people would want to leave.

I think given the length of the immigration process Canada is missing a trick, why not have people study for their accreditation whilst they wait and even take the exams in that country at approved locations, that way they can hit the ground running, that way they are not on the lowest rung trying to support themselves and studying at the same time.

I know Canada is not perfect and I find you’re a bit hard on the red maple leaf... just because you don’t find the same things as your native country. It’s like\nfrench people coming from France, going to Quebec province an complaining about the food, the weather etc... well we’re not France, sorry to say! But I can\ntry to understand your situation; it’s probably inevitable that the comparison between your country and Canada would show up eventually. I see regularly \nimmigrants moving here and it’s true that it’s not easy. (Some people will have to be cab drivers because they can’t find work in their field). But you have\nopportunities if you work hard. I have the example of a Russian truck driver who move here with his family (wife, two kids). The man started by working for\na general transport company, then was able to buy his own truck. Now he’s able to work with whoever he wants. So I think every experience is different.\nOne other thing I noticed is that for families coming here it will always be easier for kids (even teens) to adapt quicker then their parents. I live in the east\n(the maritimes) and there is not very large cities. Some immigrants that come here will stay for a while but then they would move to a larger city (like\nToronto) because that city must have the most ethnic diversity in Canada. For cultural differences true that Canadians are like Americans in the «none»\nfashion trending. It’s a different mentality then Europe because over there fashion is a statement; you are judge on your appearance. Here, not as much.\nIt shows you don’t like winter and if you don’t your not a real Canadian! :-) Don’t generalize, a lot of people here like winter. And for taxes I don’t have a clear\nexplanation other then we have a huge empty country that needs roads, infrastructures, etc. and someone has to pay for it! (fun fact, all the population\nof Canada could fit in a country like Poland... it shows how empty it is here). Finally, and I heard this many times, maybe the people or the part of the\ngovernment to blame is Immigration Canada. Maybe they give to much of an idealistic image of Canada! CANADA is like everything in life for example when you go to buy groceries at the supermarket or Walmart you can find several brands of bread, pasta, salsa etc some are better than other. Some people like the cheapest other the expensive ones others do not care. In summary there is not a perfect country AND NOTHING IS FREE. Live is full of trade offs. My advise make sure you live where you feel well, if you do not feel comfortable just move out.

Once upon a time, a lot of people in Europe dreamed of going to the United States and living there. Today it's very hard to find someone like that. The United States has fallen very low and is now like a junction of hell and a landfill. America made one mistake: it chose the invisible hand of the market. Europe for the free market with the addition of state intervention. As a result, people in the USA are very neurotic and are constantly afraid of their tomorrow and their credits, and in socialist Europe people live safer and are simply happier. They don't have so much pressure for success. Success in Europe does not lie in great wealth, but in a comfortable and peaceful life. Canada is a bit more like Europe, so the people of Canada are maybe happier. But it is still a long way from the European Union, where governments care for the well-being of ordinary people, and not just corporations.

Everyone want to sit in the office and earn money. Thousands of people graduate from schools every year and thousands come from foregin countries to work here in the office. Canada don't have so many companies like US and can't give everyone work in the office. And in the future so many office jobs will disappear due to the technology. Don't think to sit in the office and earn. There are so many jobs in construction and transportation and traits. Try them and become skillful and earn money.

I have lived in Canada for 30 years. Things back then in 1989 were almost perfect. Housing, cost, jobs, healthcare. It's now getting worse and worse and no positive signs ahead. In the last 10 years until now, if you're sick ending up in hospital, be prepared to wait for a whole day for your turn. There were cases people waited too long to be treated and died (true story). Gasoline price now is $1.34/litre, the highest price in 30 years. Buses don't have transfer ticket like before. Everytime you change the bus to reach your destination you have to pay. Bus ticket costs $3.50 each. Food price is skyrocketing. Internet, cellphone plan cost you at least $60 per month. Salary doesn't increase high enough to cover higher cost of living. I can't wait to leave Canada. Hopefully I save enough money in 5 years.

Amazing explanations! Some travel agencies sell the idea about how wonderful Canada is and they make sense people can go to Canada, get a job, and get a lot of money. And everything is wonderful as a fairy tale! That's an illusion. Of course, Canada is an amazing country, but in each country, we need to understand the language, society, and culture. A major of people are not prepared to study these conditions. When I tell around a society that involves understanding the Canadian economy, how to prepare professionally you are, the climate and conditions to live there (in Canada). The people need to try do not to fall into the conversation of exchange courses and travel agencies that sell illusions, especially of agencies that work on Youtube to sell their travel packages.

Canada is a country of immigrants, which means people who are, in my humble opinion, mostly quite self-centered and expecting the world from others, which never happens! Canada demands a gigantic capacity to adapt, to adjust and, in a word, to change...completely! You must be totally willing to leave everything behind if you want to integrate into Canadian society and this is extremely hard to do! Moreover, most immigrants come to Canada because they expect that country to give them a life of luxury or at least a very easy life, which can be true, as compared to certain other countries where life can be hell because of corruption, poverty or mismanagement and dictatorship. Now, don't fool yourself, you will find all of this in Canada too, in a very different way, although not always that different, but you will find it to a certain extent, depending on what you are trying to do here! Canada pretends to be a free and democratic country, but if there is one thing, that you are not supposed to do in Canada without dire consequences and reactions from most Canadians, it is criticism and voicing dissent! You will face repression too! I am 67 and I have lived in this country for over 30 years and now have lots of health problems, which I would probably never have had in another country, all this because of the frigging climate here...I just hate it here! And yes, don't be cultured and...play stupid and ignorant, otherwise you will face automatic rejection and that same stupidity and ignorance! A country of many cultures...yes, but also of deep rooted prejudices and intolerance! And if there is something that never changes in Canada, it is change! They expect you to change, but they never change themselves! in a word...Canada is a country like all others, no better and often far worse!

The people are superficially friendly and self centered. Not really friendly. I have been in Canada for 45 years I made a big mistake I came from the uk and then from Australia. I have never returned to the uk not even for a vacation, why? Because I'm sure it would unsettle me and I wouldn't returned.

I have been living here for 28 years (that’s most of my life, I came her as a young child). My sister’s and I have experienced first hand racism due to our hijab in elementary school, high school, after 9-11 during job interviews (myself and my brothers due to their name being Muhammed). Over time things have gotten better alhumdolillah but racism exists everywhere and many have experienced it. Where there are people that use racial slurs or acts of discrimination etc, there are many more that will support you and guide you. I love Canada and wouldn’t live anywhere else but to say it’s not there and every case is dealt with the way it was dealt with our London family, is not the case. If it was, what happens with them would not have happened. May Allah help us treat one another with tolerance and love as Islam intends it to be. I know people who have done Masters in Software engineering are working in a Pizza shops. If there is one job opening there are 10 thousand applicants for the same job. Companies showing fake jobs to satisfy govt. pressures. Automated refusals replies of your job applications are common.\n People get hired on sources and within companies. a lot can be said about your narrative. you failed to mention the age of immigration. That alone is THE single most important factor on the out come of the exercise . anyone over 40 should not immigrate. second the education and skill set you bring will be a major factor in the out come. Third there is systemic racism after a certain level which one can feel in very job. i strongly believe one should come to Canada, get top quality education and skill, work with top quality people/organizations which should not be more than 5-6 years, then go back home. the long term price of immigration is huge. This is great having more people from China, India, Russia, Cuba, North Korea and Saudi Arabia come here to this nation. Perhaps a new law protecting North Korea people including their women. Canada has racist issues but I assure you all the United States is way worse. I live here I know. My parents and my little sister moved 3 years ago in Quebec, I went there once to visit and it was actually a beautiful place to be. I'm french so we don't really have the same mindset BUT we get used to it. People are kinda nice and there is so much stuff to do ^^ I plan to go back visit them but also to visit Toronto and Vancouver. It'll be fun.
