I think they actually came first from the States into Canada then figured out winter is too harsh so now heading back South. before the demoretards opened the US border, we would never see latinos here in Montreal. now we see them mixing with the local homeless in downtown. it's not fun for the local homeless. I think every day I say to myself. What has happened to the Canada that I loved? I used to be proud but now I feel like I'm in India. Maybe India is cheaper.

As a Canadian I agree that Canada is no longer a great place to immigrate to. I disagree that it is due to racism (my parents were immigrants) but now the cost of living is too high due to shortage of housing supply and inflation. Salaries have not kept up. Immigrants do have a much harder time gaining employment in high skilled jobs especially if their English is not PERFECT. And local governments have not prepared the infrastructure to handle the massive amount of immigration that the government has accepted over the years. Our schools and health care systems are overwhelmed and stressed to the point where 1/4 of people don’t have a family doctor and getting into even a public school has become competitive. \n\nThis is not the Canada I grew up in or thought my kids would grow up in. It’s hard even for Canadians to survive and immigrants coming here without a 6-figure salary job will struggle to survive.

Canadian's born here in Canada are stuggling to find fulltime work, without work we can't afford housing, shelter, food, or be able to save for our retirement...we were born in this country, its ours, and we can't go anywhere else without applying to other countries, and frankly, our country can not abbandon true Canadians, that's just not possible...abd its not our government's job to provide shelter, work, or free food to these international or visitors, its their country's responsibility...go back home and demand your country's government for jobs. I am shocked to hear this from a CBC reporter saying IMMIGRANTS get money from the government!! Where on earth did you get this ,outrageous information!! People who apply to come to Canada as legal immigrants , have to go through a strict points system.that can take years . Plus medical and security checks. They have to speak English or French , be educated and most of all have a skill ,trade or profession that Canada needs!as Canada does not have enough highly skilled workers. Like IT professionals, doctors ,engineers, nurses etc. They have to have a job offer .etc etc .They have to have the means to support themselves and their family . It is appalling to hear this nonsense and misinformation. Secondly when talking about refugees the ones who come across the border with no documentation, come on their own and do not fall in the 3 categories you mention? How outrageous are you to say the ones coming in illegally across the border are 1 privately sponsored, 2 government sponsored 3 or mix of both! Now if we fly into Vancouver with our dog, what are the prospects of renting an apartment in Langley or area.? What are the prospects for finding an job in tech repair? And if he finds a job making 30 CAN an hour, will that be enough to live on? We are Canadian citizens and living in New Zealand for the last 20 years
