My parents and my little sister moved 3 years ago in Quebec, I went there once to visit and it was actually a beautiful place to be. I'm french so we don't really have the same mindset BUT we get used to it. People are kinda nice and there is so much stuff to do ^^ I plan to go back visit them but also to visit Toronto and Vancouver. It'll be fun. That’s the biggest thing, if you want to be a American or Canadian then learn the language. \n\nI’m Latin and my father n uncles hated going places in the US and another Latin would speak Spanish to them. Even though they could speak Spanish they said this is America speak English. \n\nNot all minorities like seeing people coming into the country illegally or by trying to use asylum when they have no claim. I live in Vancouver and I believe I was experiencing racism while looking for a placed to live. I was asked over the phone If I was Chinese, I said no and the person said that's what they were looking for. Or when I went to look at a suite and the person was east Indian and they ghosted me after seeing what I look like which happened a few times. This makes it hard to find a place to live in Vancouver considering the high population of Asian home owners. I think it may have been different while looking for apartments. This can happen to white people as well especially in a diverse city.

Why is everyone surprised Canada has immigration laws??? We do not hate ppl who want a life in Canada but you need to inform yourself properly before actually showing up here.Canada’s immigration system is not unnecessarily strict like the us, but that doesn’t equate to anyone coming here. Australia is also a multicultural country. Some racism exist but not much to be concerned of. However, stereotyping does exist, especially with aboriginal people. It is sad, but truth. I don't know why but I guess it is related to the history of the country itself. And I think this also happens to other places i.e. America (as a continent), aboriginal people become marginal.\nI hope those will pass... :(

Gotta say, I get looked at like I’m shoplifting sometimes, even though I come into stores with a very small 6 inch purse or with no handbag at all, a jacket instead of coat, I greet the staff, and I’m caucasian. I think being treated like I’m a shoplifter even though showing no signs of being one (no place to hide clothes or merch) comes down to the incompetence of the staff. The staff might even have special needs but they don’t look like it. That’s pretty common too. That happened to me a couple months ago when I was shopping at ulta.

Don’t bother coming if you don’t have degrees because with such little population jobs are extremely competitive \n2) doctors visits and emergency rooms don’t cost anything upfront but do expect an 8 hour wait or 12 in a big city. Doesn’t matter what your “emergency” is... get in line. We have the longest waits in the world for things like X-rays and MRI’s. True story look it up. \n3) we have the most expense cell phone plans in the world with the shittiest coverage. In all fairness we have a small population and a massive landmass. \n4) if you’re moving to BC, car insurance is government run. So it’s extremely expensive (I think also the most expensive in the world) and it’s awful... so don’t ever get into an accident) other provinces don’t run this way. \n5) gas in BC is also very expansive because of multiple taxes, it’s affordable most places in the prairies though \n6) drinking is 18+ everywhere except BC where it’s 19+ \n\nSo if you want to live somewhere “nice” move to BC. but you’ll be poor as fuck. \nWant to live somewhere affordable, move to the prairies but it’s awful. \nYou can’t move to Quebec if you don’t speak French fluently. Toronto is okay and you won’t fit in anywhere in the eastern islands so don’t even bother. \n\nThe end.

Hey there brother, hope you are doing well. I have a query regarding my education and my work experience getting overlapped. So i did my engineering wherein i graduated by july 2017 and at the same time i was also doing my mba (dual degree) which got over by july 2018. I had a campus recruitment drive and i was placed in a company and started working by march 2017, my univ. allowed me to work since i was on my final semester and i only had to submit my projects. So will this be questioned as i had started working well before my graduation.

I find hilarious the irony of the government and people thinking that putting in place legislation for specific groups of people (Latino, black, Asian , etc.) Is going helping to promote inclusion. Wouldn't it be better to just putting in place laws that apply to every citizen equally, regardless of race and culture? Why do we have to have special treatment just for our ethnicity? Structural racism in Canada continues because of loopholes in the system that allow discrimination against minorities to continue. I will tell you why. Most decisions are made by the individuals workers who are not going by the laws of the Companies and Government Institutions and they use their power to discrimate against you based on their own biases . That is what I have experienced. I hurt my back picking up five residents in a day at work and let me tell you the process has not been easy. Everthing I say to them or paper that I gave to them from my Doctor is not good. Even if they have facts before them you are not to beleive. More strong laws need to be put in place to protect minorities.
