I studied in Canada, but I disappointed by the racism in the professional world especially the well paying government jobs…it was like a syndicate where Chinese will push for a Chinese to be hired, whites do the same, Indians do the same…the rest of the other races like blacks, Iranians, Arabs etc you have to literally have to fight your way into the system…you have to prove and kiss peoples feet to get hired….I just packed my bags and left Canada..

Everything you say is bang on and I have to say that the most frustrating of all is that the government reaches out to foreign nations seeking professionals - it's called the brain drain, but as you say, once you arrive, they make it VERY DIFFICULT to get into the professions you're trained for. I have seen immigrants with PhDs working as security guards, doctors working as lower level healthcare workers, etc. Canada is a wonderful country but they a lot of issues to resolve. 'Free Healthcare in Canada'. I can't stand those words. Healthcare here is Canada is NOT FREE. We pay incredibly high taxes for that healcare, in most cases the extra taxes you will pay per month are way higher than if you were to buy your own private coverage. Most Canadians are exceptionally slow witted with money though and they can't figure out that once they pay income, gst, pst, sin, fuel, carbon, property taxes and on and on, you lose WELL OVER 50% of your income to the government. If you ask a Canadian what they pay in tax they will state their income tax, their brains can't comprehend the entire scope of being ripped by the government

The difference between Western countries and African countries is your interpretation of what government does. As a citizen of a western country, you should do your part and the government is there to provide what individuals can’t. If you want a lot. It costs a lot. As a citizen of an African country, you expect the government to do everything for you but they only do what personally benefits themselves. So, if your life is so bad, go back to where you came from until they get tired of hearing you complain about that too.

Yes the racism is very high here. \nMany people come here for a better life but that is very hard to find now days in Canada. Governments here, on every level have let Canadians down . They stopped investing in affordable housing. They haven’t provide enough placement for education of medical staff over decades and now we don’t have enough nurses and doctors. \nWe need better educated voters but of course they don’t put enough money into education. For me as a first gen immigrant, Canada It's a very peaceful welcoming country. Everyone is given the same level of opportunity and with less efforts you can work in a decent position.\nBy the way, the government services are sometimes frustrating, slow and make you stressed, but the country's outlook is very good to me.

Canada is a playground for the rich people of the world. If you're a migrant worker. The government has jobs and plan that pay just enough to keep supply of cheap labour circulate in Canada . LOL next time you go to British Columbia go to where I'm from and it's a little Valley called blueberry Creek it's in the interior about 400 mi from Vancouver Vancouver isn't as bad as you say it seems that way but truly I lived there for about 10-15 years after I grew up in blueberry and it is definitely unpredictable that's for sure you have to take an umbrella with you or a raincoat or a sweater or something cuz you could go out in the morning it's bright and sunny and by the time you get to the bus stop it's raining that is very true but it doesn't last long there is certain seasons that it rains but if you look at the meteorology it really isn't that much more than anywhere else and gloomy you want to talk about gloomy you live in Alberta I live there for quite a while and one morning I woke up and I just couldn't take it anymore all you see is different shades of gray and brown so I packed up and went home and finally saw green again I'm glad you guys are in Canada but boy do I hear you I used to be middle class owned a home and some land and then I became homeless because yes that's what our government is trying to do they don't want me to class people we have too much power when Harris came into power he almost succeeded in wiping out the middle class dirt poor have no say in anything so I'm trapped here I hope you guys have the freedom to go where you like I really do you guys are great

This video for privileged people, not people struggling to survive. In a country like Nigeria, a PhD holder is applying for trucking driving job and secondary teaching job. They would be grateful to move to Canada for a befitting job and will be excited to pay tax. Many with good educational background don't even have any job at all. At least Canadian government takes taxes and provide good infrastructure. In Nigeria, the government takes your tax and nothing works, no jobs, no security, no healthcare, no good roads or infrastructure. It's difficult to travel inter state without being kidnapped. Your family sells all your properties and pay the ransom but still be killed. You can even be gunned down in your house or on the street just for next to nothing. All my relatives in Canada are happy with their families and are begging me to come. Even people with good jobs are moving to Canada. They're not doing it for themselves for the future of their children, for peace of mind, security and to escape poverty. \n\nIf you're in doubt please move back to Nigeria then you will know Canada is heaven. Many have resorted to prostitution and crime because they believe they don't have any other way to survive. I want to come to Canada not to get rich but to get a decent job and live a meaningful life with my family. I will be more than grateful to contribute to the progress of Canada even beyond paying my taxes.

About the overwhelming healthcare part - my question and issue is why are so many people getting sick and needing the care so often? Maybe the government should look into addressing that.

Excellent video! Agree! I am Canadian born but some of these points I can even relate to, especially how hard they make it to accumulate wealth. We are taxed to death - our income is taxed and then we are taxed again when we buy goods. It seems like they do everything they can to prevent wealth building. The retirement saving plan….is even a rip off when you consider you give your money to the government to get a reduced value years later after inflation…..almost feels like I’m a slave and the kings and queens have just put on suit and ties. I think higher officials in government are way over paid…securing ridiculous pensions and getting huge raises on tax payer money.

My two applications for PR have been rejected. As it turned out later during federal court hearing, it was by a mistake at the IRCC's side. I had to study and work in Canada for 12 years before becoming a Canadian. It is so frustrating to know some people just get their status illegally.
