I mean, isn't this clear cut in most countries? Illegal migrants should be sent back right away. To deter this, second time maybe 2 weeks in jail, then deport.\nI'm sorry but we spent about 7 years getting to be residents and then citizens. We had to go through interviews, in depth medical tests/hostory, financial and education or skilled trade scrutiny, so we are a net benefit to Canadian society. Some also spend tens of thousands, sometimes their life savings, on the fees and paperwork, which also takes years.\nRefugees from war, etc are different, but if you just feel like it's a better life and opportunity, there are official channels to apply to be a permanent resident.

This uncontrolled ILLEGAL immigration will destroy & overwhelm the Canadian system similar to the US.. Wonder why the govt's won't just implement the rule that you need to seek asylum in the first country you cross.... Otherwise you will be deported no matter what your asylum claim will is for... Where i live in canada , i have a lot of these people in my neighborhood , they are a disgrace to canada , they are nothing but a problem for people in my neighborhood . They are partying all hours of the night , stealing things from peoples property , fighting and drunk in the streets late at night , they should be all deported like the animals they are !!!!!

These people should of known getting arrested means having a criminal record you will never get a resident visa, citizenship, nor permit there and after jail time it's eventually deportation.
