Yeah, we're not so awful... I'm American, living in Canada, and honestly, I'm here for my husband, who is Canadian. I absolutely ADORE him. The only thing that annoys me about Canada is the fact they seem to hate diabetics, anyone on a low-carb diet, or anyone who just doesn't want to eat a ton of sugar. In fact I can't get anything sugar-free in a store (simple things, like sugar free coffeemate, sugarfree cake mix) unless I pay, I'm not even lying here, TWENTY TIMES THE PRICE on Amazon, (I'm not paying $85.00 for a 10.2oz canister of coffee creamer... WTF?) That is 3.49USD in any walmart. These people have to be kidding me.

Canada is a Christian country and the muslim community must denounce Islam and be Canadain or leave. No one wants this country to look like Europe. Thanks CBC for allowing Asha Tomlinson to work on this video. This is for all Canadians, but most for Black Canadians in Eastern Canada. Cities like Edmonton in particular should be highlighted in this type of videos for their stand on racism. Most cities in Canada are becoming more progressive on racial issues, but Edmonton remains a frightening place for Black people. Maybe immigrants of colour would have an easier time if they actually acted like immigrants of past to this country, the Italians, Portuguese etc they came to Canada and they didn't ask for handouts like the ones who come these days from India, Sri Lanka etc who get on welfare. In the past they came with the intention of actually becoming Canadians and assimilating, the ones now come and all they want to do is create their own little old countries here in Canada.

With regards to government the biggest difference is that Canada is a much more socialist country, ex healthcare, subsidized education, strict gun legislation, Canada has essentially banned political donations too and lobbying is nonexistent, Canadian politicians are not bought and paid for like in the US.

I would very much like the muslims to tell us real Canadians what contributions that they are making to our country as a whole. How are they making life in Canada better? How are they bringing stability and growth to our country? They spend time teaching their silly little book to the people in their flock but nothing about Canada, our values, our hopes and aspirations for the country. Probably the only thing i liked about harper. \nHe actually protected Canada from the bad type immigrants (there are good too). \nHe made a law making companies hire Canadians FIRST and if they really cant find someone they can hire immigrants. \nHe also lowered the quota of immigrants coming in every year to a reasonable amount that we can actually handle...\n... I am actually not a harper supported believe it or not and voted for Trudeau but tbh Harper does have some things right. Very few things but yea.

It's simple. If you don't want to be asked to act like a Canadian, don't come to Canada. Stay where you are comfortable. Our First Nations people were here first -- many of them were matriarchical societies so forcing women to cover themselves is never going to work here.

We live in N.Y. about 2 hrs from the border to Canada and we love to go to NOTL for a quick vacation whenever we can - usually 4 or 5 times a year! We find Canadians to be WAY more chill than Americans and we love visiting Canada. One thing I'll tell you is figure out the insurance because we've had employees who didn't bother to do this resulting in them having none. When that happens, and you file your income taxes, the IRS takes a fine out of your return. The first year it's like $100, but it goes up each year. After a few years they can fine you like $600. Depending on how much you earn you may be able to apply for assistance in paying your health care premium or may not have to pay at all. I would encourage you to do that before you start getting fined...and welcome to the USA lol!

I wish we had more organic food options in Canadian supermarkets like you guys have in the States... the selection is pretty limited (and super pricy) in my area.

Tolerance is not a one way street. The niquab is jeopardizing my safety. I have no idea who is under that garb. That is scary people. It is a sign of bondage. This is your choice to do in the privacy of their home NOT when in public. I as a Canadian am sick of muslims and I don't care if people like it or not, they are ungrateful and Canadian taxpayers having to pay a bill of over 260,000 dollars makes me angry, if you don't want to show your faces get the hell out and don't come ,it's high time we all wake up and see this cancer for what it is. As a Muslim living in Canada, I don't see the harm in a woman wanting to cover herself, I wear the head scarf myself, but in my opinions I don't feel the need to cover myself to prove I am more modest or a better Muslim.  I believe everyone has free will and has the right in this Country to dress the way that the law has allowed them to.  No one has the right to tell someone how to dress, not even the Prime Minister himself.  Telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is oppression.  I truly believe that if Muslims want to live in Western civilization, then they should refrain from covering their faces because the face is our identity and People have the right to know who you are and what your face looks like.  You cannot vote with a covered face, you cannot cover your face in a passport photo, you cannot cover your face for your driver's licence etc... I am a Muslim woman and I say this.  It truly is a shame how the media is portraying Islam and the Muslim people as a whole, and it truly is a shame that Canadians have become so ignorant.  I see more ignorance and racism in Canada than I do in America and 9/11 took place in America.  If you want to know about Islam, learn about Islam from a Muslim, a Library, google Islam, or offer to spend a few days with a Muslim family for research to get a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.  As a Muslim myself I can understand the hatred and the ignorance because we act according to how we were taught and raised, and yes we have many extremists claiming to follow the Islamic faith.  These extremists are not only hurting Western civilization, but they are also hurting the peaceful moderate Muslims that value their rights and freedoms as Canadians.  I do not appreciate ISIS hijacking my religion, I do not appreciate Hamas or Hezballah hijacking my Religion because I am a very accepting person and a very open minded Muslim and to be defined by media as a problem or a terrorist is very hurtful and a shame.

When there is taxpayor subsidized housing for only worshippers of muhammad and Canadians who were on waiting lists for subsidizing housing are flat out denied and taken off waiting lists, there is a huge problem with taxpayors paying for religion.
