Will her ielts score will be calculated??? Without her ielts score I will get 64/100 eligibilty point. If her point will be counted then I'm getting 69/100 ( 5 points for adaptability) Then there will be more chances to get invitation from Alberta.\n\nWhere n when i have to show these 69/100 ( if I get) points in the whole process???\n\nKindly elaborate this. Hi I applied for WES canada for eca reports and tried making through western union it asked me to printout instruction paper with this I should proceed with my bank to clear. But in that paper from western union the final recipient is bank of New York mellon .if I proceed will my money go to WES canada or wes USA. Pls let me know

I'm trying to find information on weather being black and wealthy in Canada: is it worse or better than American. I'm not really concerned about name calling. In America you can be in serious danger being wealthy and black because of the american perception of wealth, cops tend to harass you unless you involve yourself with the political backing of your town. The real success of immigration will be when Canada can really attract global immigration like USA did in past.The truth is new immigrants struggle for job and Canadian experience so they prefer to go back.its a catch 22 situation for Canada ..they need people and money and have limited job and business opportunities. Shoppers Drug Mart employees are the absolute worst in my experience for racial profiling. They opened a new store so had hardly any customers, I was shopping for painkillers where there are numerous drug types, brands, strengths (mg), styles (capsules, gel cap, tablets), amounts and prices - all in small writing which takes quite a bit of time to disseminate and decide upon especially when your eyesight is poor as mine is. After a while I looked up and noticed a security guard standing in the aisle watching me. I was shocked and confronted him, asking if he was watching me, to which he quickly denied and left. Was so disturbed I quickly left the store without buying anything and refused to return to that location. Another time I was shopping for an eyebrow pencil where the colour name was printed again in small letters so was spending time to find the one I wanted amongst all the different browns. After I had chosen and started to walk past their counter, their staff member stood with her arms folded shaking her head. This was very alarming as I had shopped in that store since it had opened! So after effectively being accused of shoplifting a $3 eyebrow pencil for no reason other than being black, at the cash line, a white guy sprints out the door carrying a $50 box of diapers! Whatever they are selling at Shoppers or anywhere else is not worth my freedom. They have no right to profile me when it is never going to be me stealing. There are many, many black people who just do not do those kinds of things. We are not all criminals. I have worked in lots of stores and the majority of people stealing are the majority of people in Canada - the white people. Stop living on stereotypes, Shoppers Drug Mart and don't pooh-pooh people's experiences when they call and complain!

People should stay in there county and make the best of it. Life in Canada isn’t that great the cost of living is outrageous in price. We can’t even take care of the homeless population how are we going to take care of new people

I’ve lived on both sides of the border (New York and Ottawa/Gatineau). I am white. And I’ve been pulled over on both sides wile I was driving and wile a black person was driving. I’ve seen scary difference between the interactions with the police. Though the US cops are a little more harsh to the black people the Canadians ones weren’t much better. If you deny that is happening in Canada your wrong. If you deny it’s happening in the US your wrong. It happens no matter what side of that imaginary line on. Be the change you wanna see. If your white use your privilege to promote change. And for everyone, go to protest (safety there is still a pandemic going on), sign petitions, vote and get involved with government. Both sides of the border have the chance to make things right, act now!

Racism exists the world over in every country and if you go looking for it you will find it even in the most tolerant nation, not saying that is or isn't Canada.

I'm calling bs. I grew up in Scarborough, the schools in my area were mixed Caribbean, Canadian, European, Indian (and other South asain), Chinese (and other East Asian), middle Eastern, African, Latino, everyone went to the same school. Everyone's families were and are poor going through the same struggle. By the time I got to highschool I took the higher level courses, I went to class everyday, I wasn't a smart kid I didn't get to uni, I took a bridging program in college and got into uni. It's not hard to climb the latter in Canada if you work for it. Meanwhile at the same school a large percentage of Carribean and Somalian black students do not go to class, they skip, they dont care. In fact these same kids picked and made fun of the Asian kids that did go to school. They have zero respect imo. You can call me whatever you want I am just speaking my personal experience. School never seemed like a priority to them. I'm not Chinese or Indian but those 2 cultures always seemed like the hardest working. Those kids went to every class and got the best grades. Again Caribbean and Somalian black students in my area were more likely to be distruptive in class and get into fights. As were Greek kids and Canadian/Irish white kids. I am only pointing out the black students in relation to this video. Personal accountability is important, I don't disagree there is problems with the system but let's not act like there isn't a problem within black and even poor white culture itself. Sometimes you have to look in the mirror.

Hey Yes there is a problem of racism in Canada too. They will not show directly but indirectly will do that at most of the places. Its really rude especially when i try to help out somebody or don’t have any intentions to hurt people. I always try to make people happy and smile. Why is that? Before anything we are all humans, that should all matters. Please being respectful to everybody, you never know how the person is already going through in their lives. Canada is full of racism and that’s a fact. There is not much of the difference with the States either. Only difference is that Canada’s racism comes in the form institutional and systemic racism. The states have a way bigger platform than Canada so their situations regarding racism will be covered more than Canada’s and also Canada hides behind the “it’s such a diverse country” statement to diverge from the issue of racism. Ask yourself this- Which country do you see a wider diverse representation of, concerning the people in power? In Toronto we just had our first black police chief(which was a big thing here) a few years back while in the States they’ve been having people of colour and many minorities in power. Representation of different ethnic backgrounds is an issue here but nevertheless the states still have a long way to go with racism. I love Canada so much but there is absolutely racism that this country will not bother to even acknowledge

Canada may have long way to go. It is a country that occasionally braves to look at the mirror, and that is something to behold. I rather be no where else but in Canada.

When I walk out of a store, I always make sure I'm the only 1 passing through the detection zone. If I and anybody else pass thru at the same time, I get stopped, and delayed for 30 min to an hour while the person gets to go on about their day. Downside to being a native person in everyday Canada.
