I am from a European country and to apply for a 12 month work permit/visa in Canada I had to get and translate all kinds of travel documents and documents that prove my identity and that I haven't been prosecuted in my country and drive 16 hours just to get biometrics done. And now all of that is going to waste because the borders are closed for me.\nAnd these people can just show up at this border crossing NOW without documents and just like that enter Canada illegally and that's ok? Am I getting this right? Can someone please clarify this to me?

While I am daily trying to pass the English test to be eligible for getting Canadian PR, these people just pay money and get PR easily.
