42% of all new immigrants are from India. Canada isn't the same anymore, it's turning Punjabi and it pretty much already is in Toronto and the surrounding area. WHY does Canada exclude immigrants from other countries and have such blatant favouritism towards Indians?

Hey, I have a job offer from British Columbia for a teacher. But I have not been working for the last 4.5 years. Before that, I have 6 years of teaching experience, I have already done IELTS and ECA. Do you think I can apply for a work permit or PR?

Me and my wife are both working in India. I am in in my mid 30s and my wife is in her late 20s. We were in USA from 2018 to 2021 as my company had deputed me to an office there. Do we have a chance for PNP nomination for immigration to Canada? I am especially concerned because I am already in my 30s.\nThanks for all your input.

BC and Ontario both struggle with too many foreign home buyers, that make already high priced housing market, absolutely ridiculous. If this trend continues I guess we'll all be moving up to the territories.

Calgary is the only major affordable city for current and future generations Canadians.Calgary has the fastest growing tech, finance and film industry. Recently Tech giants Infosys, Mphasis and RBC has made announcements about their headquarters or offices in Calgary. Many Hollywood companies are filming moving in Calgary because of its proximity to mountain ?, skyline ? and lakes all they need. Calgary is also world’s cleanest and most livable city. Calgary is also sunniest city in Canada. I am already seeing some of my friends and family members who work from home moving to Calgary from BC or ON. We will see more of this trend in coming years.

I can’t remember if you’ve already done this but could you rank every state in the US
|
| 2021-09-12 | 0 |
USA is a better country than Canada when it comes to job opportunities/businesses. My uncle, who is a chef, moved to Toronto and was struggling to find a job that would pay him well enough. He then moved to NY state and within one year he was able to open his own restaurant. His finance has increased by leaps and bounds and now he runs three restaurants and already became a US citizen. Immigration might be easier in Canada, but if you get a chance to work and live in the US, you'll reap much bigger rewards for the efforts you're willing to put there.

I really thank you for your message. But in my case I´ve got an English major, so what can I do if your people already speak English.
|
| 2021-09-11 | 0 |
1. Hard to Find a job - even if you find work, which a lot of immigrants do because they are so skilled, the pay is just not enough to keep up with the expenses. I would let prospective immigrants watching this video know, that the grass looks greener from your home countries, but it really isn't. There's people with 6 figure incomes here that are worried about their futures. Do not come here. You will not find work or housing now, which is already unaffordable at Canadian income levels.

Canada is what you make of it. You can arrive rich and end up poor and you can arrive poor and end up rich. In between that, you can have a great life that balances your needs. I’ve seen immigrants succeed simply because they see the opportunity in front of them . They worked hard in their own counties to stay just above the poverty line ,but when they apply that same effort here it pays off ten times greater. I feel that compared to a lot of immigrants, natural born Canadians come across as spoiled and a little lazy…we are. We haven’t had to struggle the same way someone from a poorer country might have. I’ve talked to people who’ve worked ten to twelve hours a day just to stay afloat. If you did that here you could make plenty of money to live and have some left over. As far as owning a house goes, yes it’s expensive . I feel that homeownership in any country is relatively expensive. Here is a tip; use that soaring home prices to your advantage. Houses are expensive but you can make a lot of money buying and selling. I recommend putting together a buyers group and share the house for a few years, then sell at a profit, buy a bigger house or two smaller houses.try to buy the worst house in the best neighbourhood and fix it up slowly . That house could double in value in five or six years in the Toronto market. This is nothing new of course ,the people from India and China seem to do this a lot here ,it drives up prices and profits. On the downside to this ,you are now part of the problem. As the housing prices are driven up the non wealthy can no longer afford to own a house . They are at the mercy of high rents with no rewards of ownership. They are caught in a cycle of hard work and (relative)poverty. This could also be you if you can’t keep up the house payments and are forced to rent.\nHow well you speak English is important but your native language is also useful here because Canada is half immigrants . As a Canadian that speaks only english (Irish descent)I have to say to all newcomers that I’m very impressed that you have learned a new language and that you may even speak more than two! Don’t be embarrassed about your abilities . I find that in my experience , Canadians do not look down on people just because they don’t know English. In fact ,I’ve known people that have lived here for decades and still know very little English. They are comfortable in their communities and they function just fine. Learn as much English as suits your needs and be proud of any gains you make.\nOutside of Toronto are other cities that you might consider when looking at southern Ontario. From my experience, most are generally the same, just not as big . There are large immigrant communities in London Ontario, Hamilton and just outside of Toronto where housing is just a little bit less expensive but the commute to work is probably longer. This is just my opinion but in the small towns there are less people of colour , (which is what people of no colour call everyone else . I wonder if I’m called a person of no colour in some other culture ? LoL ). That might make it harder for you to feel integrated ,if that’s what you want. I’m not saying that people from other cultures can’t make it in a small town , I’m just saying that it’s definitely not Toronto . Here, people of any nationality can feel like they have a place where they can belong . It seems that no matter where you are from ,there is a community already here that’s set up restaurants and stores and clothing shops and newcomer support systems. And if your from Portugal or China or India or Africa or the Middle East, there are large groups of your kin here that have established roots for generations and you probably know this already.\nToronto means meeting place and that becomes evident quickly. I was born here and it’s one of the things I love the most about my city. I’m not going to say that there isn’t systemic racism here ,the people of no colour still kind of keep the top position , but as we become a minority in a decade or so ,I hope that will shift to a broader spectrum. It’s certainly happening already. One good thing is that the police department tries to hire people of colour so that racialism may play a smaller role. We’re getting used to seeing our politicians more and more reflect their constituents.\nI have to talk about the weather. Because I’m from here I’m used to the extremes of minus thirty and plus thirty . Eventually you get used to it (somewhat). Dressing in the right clothes is important. Summer is easy , but winter is different. It’s trying to kill you. Spend the most that you can afford on winter cloths . If you can afford a quality parka you should get one. The hood can be drawn around the face and stay out of the wind.\nIf not ,think of layers with a outer layer that blocks the wind. We have things called long Johns that are basically full length thick cotton or nylon pants that go on under your pants and a pair of extra thick socks. Buy your boots to fit your thick socks. Try to get the best boots you can afford ,it’s something that you might spend a little extra for but never regret.\nAll in all we are a fairly organized and peaceful society. Most people are friendly and will give you a chance . We have a good social safety net here and you don’t have to be homeless or starving if you don’t want to. There are people and organizations set up to help ,that truly try to get people back on their feet. It’s a good investment that pays off in ways that matter for the quality of life in a big city. I’m not putting my American neighbours down when I say they do things differently. They have their ways ,we have ours. This is just something that we do because we’re trying to learn how to help those that society has discarded or can’t find their place. Sure we have one or two areas where the homeless have pitched tents and we have some resources for them if they want. Unfortunately The mayor recently forced a small camp to move from a very visible place to more scattered locations. There were social workers involved as well as protesters trying to protect them. I didn’t like that happening and I want to see even more resources dedicated to them ,but on the other hand ,we are trying to avoid something like what happens on the streets when it’s just ignored. When I see YouTube videos of the streets of Philadelphia I’m extremely saddened. I thank the lucky stars that I was born in Toronto Canada.\nFor all it’s pollution and expense and crowds ,I think it’s a great place to do almost anything your heart desires . For every ugly building there is a beautiful park ,for every honked horn there is a birds call , for every cold and dark day there is beautiful sunny one around the corner.

This is great ??. I am a registered nurse with an Ontario nursing license. I have been practicing in Ontario for over 3 years already. I received my degree in the US. Do I still have to get an education assessment or is my current license proof that I have already met the education requirements?

Hi Jason-\nCurrently I am on a Work Permit and working in Canada. I received the ITA to apply for PR, I have a query on the medical requirements for my wife and child.
\n
\nBoth of them had completed their Medical in March-2021(5 months ago) for a Visitor Visa(long term) but they are still in India due to COVID, the Visa application is still in processing stage. Do they need to undergo a medical examination again for Permanent Residency or we can use the same old Medical reports for them.
\n
\nSince I am already present in Canada, I am exempt from the medical exam. Just wanted to check on my family.

Damn , I’ve been in Montreal since November 2020 and life is already tough (I started school again but in France I was earning the equivalent of nearly 2k CAD a month in my old job, a casual one at that) \nI don’t know if it’s worth it to even continue that diploma anymore ?

great congratulations for getting pr, n that so quickly\n\nbut ur info made some confusions to me,, as per my previous assumptions\n\nwhat i already assume is , that, pnp is separate than express entry (fsw, ftsw, cec)\nand that express entry is under central government,, and pnp's are under distinct provinces etc\n\nand one more thing,, as you said,, you did got Letter of Interest (Loi) and then you applied for pnp,, and then for express entry,,, so what you applied for first, before getting loi,, to get loi ?

Well put . I came to Canada at the age of 12 in 1992. After graduating in 2002 I was unable find a job in my field even entry level. I worked in cx service for another 5 years until i paid the little student loan I owed 15K. Then I made a way to move to USA. Took me 3 weeks to land a job in my field. I also got my masters. After 3 years in the USA came back to over priced Toronto to get married. Even as a nurse Toronto is unaffordable. Bills and more bills. Goal is to return to my native country, I already bought lands and is preparing. I got kids but I don't want them to stress. Education is everywhere.

That is why you need to understand what is needed to practice your profession. People think that coming here is good enough. There are 3 things you need to do simultaneously process prior to coming over. One comply the immigration requirements , 2- process or have your academic credentials assessed then 3 is apply already before arrival. If you do all these then you are good to go but if not then yes it will be harder.

People must ask themselves a question that why western countries offer citizenship to Muslims knowing very well that their religious, cultural and social values are poles apart? GORA is very wise. He is looking at your 2nd and 3rd generations. He knows that they would be just like them in next 30 to 40 years. It is happening already in countries like UK and it will happen in Canada too. The price to be paid is very very heavy from Islamic point of view. Blue skies, fresh water, KHALIS milk and eatables, good governance, economic prosperity, all Is too little in this bargain. It is nice to go abroad for higher education or earning money but permanent citizenship meds lots of pondering.

Very nice , informative, and a little bit emotional video, very well noted and appreciated. I need to seek your guidence here. I am 46 years old, currently working in a very senior capacity for a company (financial sector) located in southern africa, planning (although already quite late), to immigrate to Canada with my wife, and three children, eldest being 11 years old. Do you think it's a good idea now at this age?

Asalam o Alaikum ! I’m a civil engineer! Currently I’m working in Dubai. Can you please arrange an interview with an already settled civil engineer in Canada. How to get settled their as a civil engineer. What are the procedures to get licensing ? Is there any option to get licensing online or before moving to Canada? Is it better to get my field related job before coming to Canada or should I come to Canada first and then start searching for job. Please guide me about all immigration process to getting settled there as a Civil Engineer.

Please also consider:\n\nFast Paced Life \nLoans are Life Time \nUncertainty \nBroken Family System\nIslamophobia\nHealth System \nLonger Winters \nProfessional Jobs, especially Key positions \n2nd Class Citizens\nDouble Income/Working Wives\n\nYou have to change your attitude (have to learn to compromise and adjust ..... and how much you can, is upto individual)\n\nRetirement/old age is bit more scary, especially without investments in placed already.\n\nElse everything is good like, everyone say water, air, views, lower paid jobs, 2nd hand cars, food,(except organic food which is again less affordable) etc.\n\nBest of luck!!

Hi, if our engineering degree is not recognized there where it needs to be evaluated first by the engineering body for EIT and required to pass the exams before getting the P.Eng status. My question is how can we get an engineering-related job outside of Canada if employers consider only those already with EIT and P.eng status?\nI'm curious to know if some employers would consider or if we can apply to another job opening outside our degree or work experience. Will that be possible, if ever?

The price increase thing is a classic. If someone is interested renting for 1300 then the next one that asks will get a price bump because 1300 is already kind of secured.
