Hi, Upon receiving the approval I am aware that we are supposed to enter Canada within 6 months. Is it possible to enter Canada within 6 months, live there for a week and then exit Canada? In this case, I will be coming back within a year or 2. Thanks!

Both my parents immigrated from Europe so I can relate to many of the comments.\nSo, what I see is that Canada is a country of mostly heavy industry which often requires people to live in rural, remote, isolated communities. Canada is a big country so transportation is a significant part of it's economic foundation. Most people do not come here wanting to live up north or drive a commercial truck. They want to live in a big city and have a professional job.\nClearly the government has done a poor job of conveying what is needed (Trudeau is pretty clueless to be honest).\nIf you want to be in demand go rural and go north.

housing prices in my country are the same as in Canada and we get paid significantly less. The average salary in my country is 565 Canadian dollars. I’m definitely willing to take my chances to immigrate to Canada. Apart from low wages, safety is a huge issue and the public health care is a joke and we pay taxes for it!!

As a Canadian I found this very informative and interesting. I have always been interested in hearing what people from all around the world have to say about other places. I value different perspectives greatly. Now I shall want to ask what my friends have to say about Canada.

I'm Canadian and think the biggest issue is a lack of infrastructure. Even in a lot of major cities, things you'd expect to see like subway stations, corner markets, or arcades are uncommon. It's hard to find a job when there aren't many places to work, and it's hard to afford things when it's difficult or expensive to ship those things from place to place. Immigration could boost our population so we can better tackle these issues, but our system forces immigrants to start from scratch. That doesn't provide immigrants with much reason to choose Canada instead of the Netherlands, the USA, Singapore, or some other country.

I was chatting to a guy a while back , when I asked him if he was from Canada he was sooo pleased I hadn't thought he was American, didn't have the heart to tell him it was only because I'd spotted a little red maple leaf on his bag?...... Lovely sketch lads?

You did not mention low crime rates, relatively low pollution levels, clean cities or very high general level of literacy and education. These are all variables which make Canada a great place to live.

In some cases, I was victim of racism here in Canada and this is what I just did: I speak in French instead to the aggressor; I have done that many times and usually it works; if it is like this indirect form of racism (much more frequent) where a “local” or even sometimes some Immigrants try to look down in me, I just called a friend of mine (who is usually free) and start to chat loudly in french with him!! And believe it or not, my French accent is 99% close to perfection although I do not look like a white French guy… but see… this is exactly why it is very amusing as you can barely imagine how most people act by seeing me talking in French!! I just left Canada because the government sucks!!!!! The taxes are insane. There are way to many government jobs with pensions!!! Post office people get huge pensions. It just doesn’t make sense with the cost of living. I live in Germany now and it has a way better cost of living!!!!!
