I have friends from Sudan, Nigeria,Cameroon and all are doing well in Canada. It seems some of the biggest complainers are people born and raised in Canada. I am sure there is some racism but there is NO and I repeat NO systemic racism in Canada.

I have Asian friends who changed their last name to white last names to improve their chances for higher level jobs. By the time they arrive for the final physical interview, the interviewer/ company is shocked he or she is Asian. By then, it's harder for them to be biased and have their resume thrown out in the beginning and hire him based on his pure abilities. Welcome to Canada.

I was going to buy her the items she was trying on. When I went to see if they fit I see that she had pulled of the tags. She must have learned this from her mother. Sham full what you are pedaling. When people get beyond the boundary of a person's color you will face the reality of what this is all about in the first place. Isn't it funny when we look at things like professional sports. The music industry a host of other platforms you see the black community excelling. Now you do not see a huge rebellion taking place from any other nation that is not represented in those areas. So what is really up with these other areas you continue to bring up. All those other problems are not being escaped from because of a persons color. If you believe you have a problem in those areas. Then continue to find solutions. Stop trying to single out the fact that you are the only race that has life issues. When you know every Canadian daily has challenges it faces. The thing about it all is simply this fact. What are you going to do about it ? Stop putting up walls that tell others you are always a victim. If that were the case your basketball courts, baseball stadiums, football fields would not be filled. We all know that is not happening. And I certainly do not believe that all blacks live in this sort of arena. In fact I have a lot of friends who are black. All I see everyday is a beautiful person behind that face. The other thing is, that there are millions of Canadians every year out getting tans when the sun hits. That alone should speak volumes.

I have 5 canadian friends 3friends 2bestfriends welp they’re online and yeah they’re online because I don’t live in Canada tho I do see Canada as a wonderful place and if I were to go anywhere/travel I would only go to Asian places but Canada’s one of the places I’d visit or live in thats not Asian <3 (I’m Chinese)

As a Canadian who has traveled to 12/13 provinces/territories (sorry NFLD) and all regions of the mainland USA I have couple comments. First, both Canada and the USA the accents and culture are very different depending on the area (another similarity!). People from Vermont have more in common with people from New Brunswick than they do with their fellow Americans in Texas. People from British Columbia have more in common with people from Washington than they do with Quebeckers. Second, I actually find that Americans are super friendly in some states, more outgoing than Canadians (like say Tennessee). Also, Drew, if you ever want to go to the Far North in Canada it's a whole other world of Inuit people speaking Inuktitut on Baffin Island - for me that area seems like another country!

Better burgers in the U.S.? You should try the Harvey's hamburger chain, only in Canada. Long ago around 1986 an American friend studying here said he never tasted anything like it. There is higher beef standards in Canada and he found it juicy and tender in big buns.
