There's so much evidence of racism existing but certain whites will never stop trying to either downplay it, somehow justify it or outright deny it. Montrealer here. Caribbean restaurants are notorious for having poor service, irregular hours, poor hygiene, long wait times, inconsistent food etc. I've seen them come and go by the dozens and it's sad bc so many of them have really great, whole food (nothing processed) for a decent cost but the reason they can't stay open has more to do with work ethic and business management than patronage. \n\nWe have a huge caribbean community and the locals love the food too but once u get attached to one of these places, they disappear a few months later. Jamaicans especially, Trinidadians seem to be able to make the business side work better.

i got racially profiled . i went to an up scale outdoor mall. Full off super wealthy White ppl . I was with my friends in a candy store .. i bought a sprite and told the lady to keep the receipt . i didn’t think i needed it . it was only like 2 bucks. Long story short an older lady who was in her 50’s about ( white ) accuses me of stealing tells the workers to chase after me . As i’m walking out . One of the lady’s grabs my shoulder and ask me if i paid for that . i said yes i did. she asks for my receipt and i told her i just bought a sprite and didn’t think i needed it She tells me to STAY PUT . i said uh ok. She ask the lady at the register if i paid and she said yes . Remind u everyone in the store is white i’m the only black kid . Also i’m 13. My friends confronted the lady without me asking . i’m thankful for them

I worked at Wal Mart a long long time ago but I can attest that they do not encourage profiling as a company. Individual managers and employees do however tend to take it upon themselves to play Batman and bust someone despite company policy being to do nothing.

Justin Trudeau should know that these things will only keep rising if they letting in immigrants so easily. Some people like to claim that 'we are one' but do we understand that we all come from different backgrounds. The best thing I could think of is let immigrants in only if and only as long as they contribute to your country's economy. Unnecessary favors will not do any good to Canada.

we need to help stabilize latin american countries if we want to stop unendless migration. i know a lot of people just want to deport and thats it but as long as there is violence and corruption in latin america the people are always going to find a way to come here. we need to work with latin america to help stabilize their countries and make them a better place so that their citizens don’t feel the need to leave.

Don’t read the comments...a lot of toxicity coming from toxic people...being a Punjabi Indian living in Ottawa, I don’t mind people of any background (white, black, brown, etc.) as long as all respect the bylaws related to driving, house maintenance, garbage...what pisses me off is that people from my community (not all) are actually creating troubles...seen that...seen indians trashing on the streets to talking shit about white and black people in their language be it hindi or punjabi, rash driving, seen some good indians truly respecting the laws...maybe it’s time for the Canadian government to realise that laws should be tightened and people disobeying the laws should face harder penalties...
