I have been asked hundreds of times if i needed help with anything in stores and half the time i did . So if the store clerks just ignored them and did not offer to help them is that racism to ? It does hurt sometimes. One time me and a first nation older woman where running frantically to meet a bus, the driver could see us and he just left. We were about 30 seconds to the bus but he deliberately left in the freezing winter period, she was elderly. We both new it's because we were visible minority, not all drivers do this and in fact it was the first time it happened. Got to visit the neighbors up north two months ago and thankfully, my experience was wonderful! I'm of Mexican descent from Southern California and was visiting St. John, NB, and the people in New Brunswick were surprisingly friendly folks. I even had a random stranger who was worried about my bowel movements and warned me that eating too much seaweed would give me the runs. I absolutely enjoyed my time in New Brunswick and look forward to visiting my neighbors up north again in the near future.

I am shocked at the fact there are more dislikes than likes when the CBC provides facts and so many people say they are lies, and others agree! The negative sentiments about refugees and immigrants are getting louder and people are happy to call fellow human beings “them”. They insinuate this is a huge burden, when the fact is we benefit from migration. It seems people think Canada will be over run by people from a foreign land, take all the resources and eliminate people born here, but that’s only happened once, when the British and the French arrived 400 years ago.
