COVID hit and we started seeing Punjabi’s coming in unprecedented numbers, they say as students, from Brampton Ontario?Overnight all Walmart, Taxi/Truck Driving jobs, Tim Hortons, McDonalds were Punjabi jobs who do we blame? Rents are high, jobs once available are unavailable life has become hard where do we run same people voted again for the same government that has destroyed us 😢😢😢.

I was born in Poland, raised in Canada, and despite living in Toronto, learned both official languages to utter fluency. Yet to communicate with others in Toronto, apparently Hindi and Punjabi are what is required for economic opportunity . As an emmigrant who came to this country 15 years ago, I am astonished by the lack of knowledge this country has. This reason stands in empty education ( in an irony of life, the canadians call it one of the best on the word), and the belief Canada is a democracy. It is typically a fascist country that makes spurious elections because it is truly run by an establishment hidden as a secret society and in the surface is run as a mafia by small groups of interest ( corporations, professional order, injustice system, and emty shell politicians). The others ( the canadian people) they enjoy democracy 😂, high quality of life( really, just make a visit to a poor european country as Portugal, Greece ). The same goes for education, just oven degrees hot and not edible. Now Canadians learned that immigrant are taking their land and opportunities. You're lied, put under pot, and cheated by your democratic representatives. Try to fight, you'll be in a gulag (minus 15 Celsius only for some day) until the nobel prize candidates of uot and mcgill will put you democratically under tanax.

I’m driving by a closed local grocery store the other night. The parking lot has 8 or so Indians playing cricket in the lot under the lights. I am shocked to hear this from a CBC reporter saying IMMIGRANTS get money from the government!! Where on earth did you get this ,outrageous information!! People who apply to come to Canada as legal immigrants , have to go through a strict points system.that can take years . Plus medical and security checks. They have to speak English or French , be educated and most of all have a skill ,trade or profession that Canada needs!as Canada does not have enough highly skilled workers. Like IT professionals, doctors ,engineers, nurses etc. They have to have a job offer .etc etc .They have to have the means to support themselves and their family . Secondly when talking about refugees the ones who come across the border with no documentation, come on their own and do not fall in the 3 categories you mention? Wow, they get $ 50.000 tax free dollars the first year…must be nice, I wish I made that much money. Hi, My question is not about financial assistance, but still asking maybe you know about it. I am a refugee, who's referred for resettlement in Canada by UNHCR. I have already been through biometrics and medical examination by IOM. Received a letter by IRCC regarding Pre-Arrival Services. When I checked today at IRCC website for estimated time period for Government Assisted Refugees Program, it shows 31 months in the country where I am currently hiding. My question, does it really take so long?

Cleverly this videos talks about "how much" and not "how many" refugees get Social Assistance, then uses Vietnamese legal immigrants (the hardest working people in Canada) as an example of how quickly they become self-supporting. The truth about refugees aftermath is that, the large majority of refugees in Canada coming originally from third world countries, live on Social Assistance for several years, some for life, knowing that the Canadian government will provide for them anything they need (Ironically there are very few statistics on this matter and no statistics at all since 2015, when the current government was elected).

I am shocked at the fact there are more dislikes than likes when the CBC provides facts and so many people say they are lies, and others agree! They insinuate this is a huge burden, when the fact is we benefit from migration. It seems people think Canada will be over run by people from a foreign land, take all the resources and eliminate people born here, but that’s only happened once, when the British and the French arrived 400 years ago.

I came to Canada to travel but on an immigration visa in 1965, I got a job from Canada employment centre for 1.50 where nobody spoke english , I quit after 1 day. A week later I found a job in the machineshop for 3.00 Dollars. Good thing the foreman found a portugiese employee who translated from spanish to english, I myself spoke german, ever since then I did I was on the upswing. The government gave me nothing, had enough money to go back. Always a dictionary in my pocket. In six weeks i know enough english to make the driverlicence and bought a car.
