The guy doesn't even speak English. I wouldn't move to his country and not learn the language, just rude.

He's illegally in the US and never learns to speak English then goes to Canada and doesn't speak English or French? He hasn't put forth much effort to assimilate. Try coming through Ellis Island in the late 1800s and early 1900s and not knowing English. You're an evil racist if you say these things but it's the truth. If you want to move out of your country you learn the Language and assimilate. The problem with the immigrants from Central America is they want to live in our country but continue to live life as they did there. Assimilate or leave.

It should be more easy to invade another country and use their welfare system for noncitizens... I’m saying that the USA should invade Mexico and they should pay for our US Citizens to live in Mexico as undocumented invading illegal aliens. He illegally enters the U.S., doesn't seem to understand why ICE wants to deport him.  So he illegally enters Canada and doesn't seem to understand why they want to deport him.  So instead he plays the system by moving about to get his case 'put to the bottom of the pile' to cheat yet MORE time to stay in Canada illegally.  Then when he gets told 'NO', he changes up and says he no longer in any danger of returning but now it's humanitarian.  Time to pack up and move back to El Salvador and turn your home country into what you want it to be.

The most racism I experienced in school was from teachers. Its the most profound kind of racism, because they are authority figures. The thing is when your fellow students display racism it doesn't have the same gravity as it does when your teacher does it because you know your teacher does know better but they truly believe it.In University, I actually had a teacher give a lesson that was so tinged with racism that it really broke me down, because what I've come to realize is that so many people think that being racist is saying actual racist words and don't understand that perpetuating stereotypes are the most prevalent forms of racism.  It is demoralizing because it feels like a losing battle when your teacher is perpetuating racially disparaging ideas to an entire class, and you think about how many people are going to be influenced by that idea and in turn perpetuate it. I realized that this teacher really insidiously believed what she was saying was true, but that it just wasn't politically correct to say it. The main principle of white privilege is that white people get to be individuals but people of colour get grouped together by the most base stereotype of their race.  I don't think Black-focused schools are the solution. I think more integrated schools with diverse populations of students and teachers are the solution.\n Then there are concrete issues of race, space and the law. For example when you come to realize that carding continues in Toronto, and that most residents do not care that young Black men are being harassed and treated like criminals by the police because it does not affect their community, it makes you wonder if people are only inclined to feel empathy for those who look like them.

You fled the richest nation in the world, for Canada\n What did you expect? \nCanada takes refugees from war zones not from NYY.. Canada doesn't just hand out money. Especially to people who think they can jump our border and our immigration process. There are plenty of people who spent a lot of time and work to earn their citizenship legally. it doesn't matter where he is from what matters is that he put his family through all of this because he dodnt want to do the legal process. i come from immigrants and they did the process (not cutting corners) and they were welcomed citizens and still are. some illegal immigrants dont care for their families or they would have started the process a long time ago.

Overstaying a work visa or a tourist visa is a crime for a reason. Try overstaying your welcome in China, Japan, Mexico, Israel -- anywhere in the world. This is not unique to the United States.

It's a heartbreaking situation, but a country has the right to decide who comes in and who doesn't. The places where hard-working, industrious people like Jose come from need to drastically change their societies to capitalize on his talents and provide for a stable future for his children. Perhaps what the US and Canada can do is help train those country's leaders to implement policies that improve their economies like establishing strong property rights, rule of law, free markets, tough measures on crime, etc. But unless you have a Ph.D. in Physics or will start the next Apple computers, we have plenty of unskilled labor here already. Look, I feel for the guy and I'm empathetic to his plight, I don't think he's an evil person, and our country may be better off having him here working and contributiing to the labor pool, but the law is the law.

It’s not any safer in any country than their own. They need to come to the realization that they need to stay in their countries & make the best of it because the US isn’t gonna be playing games much longer & Canada doesn’t want the issue moving up north.

America has free healthcare basically, it's called Medicaid, I wouldn't say I'm poor at all, which is what people think you have to be to qualify. I'd say normal middle class, husband works in a factory making decent money and we qualify for it, but yes healthcare is ridiculous, even Medicaid doesn't cover everything.

There is still a lot of work to do, because there are too many black men and women who suffer from low self esteem and they believe the only way to cure such low self esteem is by inter marrying. What they fall to realize is that their kids will be black and they will undergo the same problems so why not stick to your race and fight the problem instead of running which doesn’t help. There doesn't seem to be any gratitude among the Muslims, any humble thankfulness to the host countries at all. Instead there is this attitude that the host country is going to do just what Muslims want them to do, that they're not going to assimilate and try to fit in in any way whatsoever. And beyond that they're not shy about their plans on dominating the culture of the host country , disregarding the law, and setting up Sharia law instead. Those people have to go. Yeah, we're not so awful... I'm American, living in Canada, and honestly, I'm here for my husband, who is Canadian. I absolutely ADORE him. The only thing that annoys me about Canada is the fact they seem to hate diabetics, anyone on a low-carb diet, or anyone who just doesn't want to eat a ton of sugar. In fact I can't get anything sugar-free in a store (simple things, like sugar free coffeemate, sugarfree cake mix) unless I pay, I'm not even lying here, TWENTY TIMES THE PRICE on Amazon, (I'm not paying $85.00 for a 10.2oz canister of coffee creamer... WTF?) That is 3.49USD in any walmart. These people have to be kidding me.

Most the retail places i am not sure.. and I am not going to say that racism doesn't happen in these stores because i don't know for certain.. but i am going to post something to think about.. If their best buy is like the best buy where I live.. I knew people who worked best buy.. and certain floor reps get paid at least in part via commission.. or at least they use to.. typically the ones that approach you are the ones working to make sales.. they will usually only do so in certain areas though.. such as Computer area, home entertainment area, appliance area, phone area, POSSIBLY game area particularly if they notice you looking at the consoles, and occasionally I get approached when i am looking at personal entertainment stuffs such as the decent headphone and ipod/mp3 player area... If you stick to CDs, movies and stuff that you can just grab .. typically they wont bother you much.. unless you linger there too long.. then a floor rep might think you might need help looking at something.. In my experience they are just overly hover because they have to be.. but unless you are looking at something that is a focus of sales or a board employee finds you .. you almost have to hunt down reps to help you with something..
