This is a bit one sided as this study showed Caucasian businesses. How about Asian, Black or other races' establishments and see how they faired with racial profiling. I used to work with someone that worked for high end stores and she mentioned that they do actually go to class to spot someone that will actually spend money vs someone who just wants to window shop and yes they also taught racial profiling. Sales associates will cater more to well dressed shoppers compared to people who wears plain clothing.

I am a South African man who has many Muslim friends. I am appalled by the actions of these patrols all over Europe. Do these people not see that they are causing Islamophobia. If you want people to convert to your religion and embrace it, then show them that it is a peaceful and beautiful religion. But if you are patrolling and bullying people and other radicals are beheading and using suicide bombs, then there is nothing peaceful about that. As a man, if I choose to wear a balaclava while I do my banking I will be arrested. I'd like to address this to the woman who went to one of Trump's rallies dressed as a Moslem with her head covered with a scarf and having a sign that reads, 'I come in peace'. I don't know why she was asked to be escorted out, but by her own words the people in the crowd were throwing questions at her as to whether she had a bomb under her cloak. Well, whether she knew it or not, she provoked the crowd by wearing the mark of a Moslem - her cloak. Also, by going to the rally dressed the way she was, she knew before hand that she'd be treated that way. On her part, I see that as provocation. Had she gone plainly dressed or attired like everybody else, there would have been no adverse reaction toward her. I don't know what she could have said why she was asked to be escorted out, but she fully knows that the whole of America had been given the real and true picture of Islam - one of terror, murder, beheading, bombs, war, and blood. How do Moslems expect the most compassionate, kind, benevolent people in the world to act? So, please, use your common sense and do not see America as the enemy, the aggressor, or the provocateurs. They're not. They are just being vigilant knowing that the enemy could be so sly, cunning and untrustworthy. Islamic people,we welcomed you to our country. Don't think that we are not watching you. I find that with each generation, the issue with racism becomes slightly less and less, which is great considering slavery was abolished only for about 100 years. I find that living in Canada as a black millenial is much better then say living in the 70s. I never faced racism the entire time i grew up here. but then again I haven't been everywhere in Canada. I think the most you'll experience here right now is indirect racism in the small towns. but you just have to show them who you really are and most will be OK. I don't think a lot of the people still have the mindset left in the 1900s. especially not in the major cities where its so diverse. but there's racism everywhere no matter what you look like. I hope everyone can look past appearance and stereotypes some day.
