I love living in Canada. I own my >$1.5 million condo with an ocean. I make a 6-figure annual salary from my job. I also have saved a large sum of money which provides me a consistent stream of taxable interest income. My Canadian brother and his wife left Canada and moved to the U.S. when they were in their early 40's. They prospered and grew their careers for 15 years before deciding to return to Canada. In Canada they would have been considered politically Conservative and religiously as far-right Evangelical Christians, but they found their American neighbors to be off the charts in both categories. My brother's wife, who is a doctor, paid $27 thousand dollars less, per year in income tax in the U.S.A. Their 6,000 square foot luxury home in the U.S. cost them about $700K dollars and the equivalent in Canada was $2.4 Million dollars. Since his wife is a doctor, the U.S. healthcare system was not an issue for them, because as a doctor, she had the ultimate American healthcare insurance paid by her employer. They admitted that they had healthcare that was superior to that held by 98% of other Americans. I suspect they will remain in the U.S. for the future. Over the years they have adopted the unique American language and accent, so they now live unnoticed and unrecognizable as Canadians. lol

Our emergency rooms are always packed and a normal wait time is 6 to 12 hours. Often longer than that. Millions without a family doctor too. These things make it horrible. Ppl RANT about a possible co pay for your family doctor when in fact if you paid only $10 to $20 per visit to your doctor he or she could afford to employ a nurse practitioner for less severe cases, another person to fill out the many forms your doctor spends hours on, etc. I don't know why Canadians won't bend on SMALL changes. Hi Tyler I have been splitting my time between Florida and Vancouver for the last 25 yrs , my wife is American and my daughter went to high school and college in the US. The years prior to 2016 the Floridians were very warm and welcoming every year I returned for the 6 mo winter season. After the 2016 election things changed, I became one of those people (an unwanted foreigner). I still have my place in Florida but it’s time to sell and find a place that is more welcoming. I read an article a couple of yrs ago that Canadians pay approximately $500 m a year in property taxes to the State of Florida and contribute millions more to the Florida economy… as I see it now the division in the US is getting to be to much. We have our problems in Canada but we let people live their life their way and I live my life the way I choose and accept people just the way they are.

Where are these millions of new immigrants going to work? Since the election of Liberals, Canada has had the slowest growing economy in the industrialized world! The world expects Canada's lacklustre performance to continure for the next 20 years. So are these new immigrants coming with suitcases full of money to invest in new companies? Are the skilled tradesman coming from developed nations with similar building codes and material or from countries that build houses without any codes or inspection? Do the Medical Doctors receive the same education as 1st world doctors or are they like doctors in most developing and 3rd world countries where they enter medical school straight from Grade 11 and graduate 4-5 years later with a medical degree and their medical experience is all with 3rd world diseases? OR what is more likely is that these new immigrants will have to go back to school (paid for by Canadian taxpayers) to bring their education and skills to the minimum level of Canadians? It will take the average new immigrant 6-10 years before they are making a net positive contribution to the Canadian economy. This would be affordable if our economy was outpacing other industrialised nations OR if we had fewer immigrants but this is a strategy for bankruptcy. My prediction is that the Canadian dollar will be $0.60 USD within 5 years or less. My recommendation is start moving your savings and retirement funds to the USA.

Right now, we need fewer immigrants, not more. It is irresponsible to be opening the floodgates to immigration when we do not have enough affordable housing for them to live in. Where are they going to live? Under the current system, we have more new Canadians bidding up the prices on a limited supply of housing. To say that increased immigration will build MORE houses is just not true. Since 2000, Canada has brought in 5 956 963 immigrants; (Source Statista). During that same period that we brought in almost 6 million new immigrants, Canada’s housing situation has deteriorated to the point so that people are unable to find affordable housing. Forty-year old’s are living in their parents basements because they cannot afford a house or rent an apartment. If 6 million new Canadians only makes housing worse, what will opening the flood gates do? No, we need to fix our problems at home. Ensure that there is enough housing for people to move into before bringing them into Canada.

There are over 23 million people here trust me we are giving cents to initiatives in Canada. Quality of life, Security, Health Care, Children Support, Old Age Pension, access to great jobs if you are will to put in the work and start over. Again we can't come here and expect to just fall in. You just joined a line of thousands of people in your career field who have been fighting to get great job opportunities. You have to fight and you will be okay. Or do what many people did and change your career and you can have a special life here. Obviously nothing is better than home

Moreover i m not able to adjust in this environment. The school system is pathetic. I don't like private schools and how they are looting middle class parents. Same is with Doctors. One of my friend who have well established textile business got their mother admitted to one very famous hospital in DHa lahore. Doctors almost killed her mother just to make more money. For very minor issue they paid around 2 million rs to different Private Doctors. And 3 to 4 operations without even doing ct scan. I luv my kids and would never like them to grow in this environment...
