American car companies make shitty cars. They make cars that are too big, that don't make sense for European where streets can be very small and gas is very expensive. The US manufacturers don't make a single small car in thos country that can compete with European cars. US agricultural products are laced with poisonous chemicals that are outlawed in the EU because they kill people. Our governmeent doesn't give a shit about that because to grow healthy food means you have to cut profits, almighty dollars, instead of grow things that the rest of the world will accept. We have an idiot for president who thinks he knows more than anyone else and an idiot party that won't tell him the truth. This is going to cost us big time. We are going into recession, probably a long one because we don't have real leaders and the president on his best day is nothing more than a reality TV personality, and not a very entertaining one at that.

Manufacturing is not coming back the the US no matter the tariffs Trump imposes. America has to concentrate on the manufacturing that we lead which is High Technologies, Fuel, and Agriculture. Up until the 1970s, the world was divided into 2 spheres, the rich west and the rest. With the rise in oil prices and the increased technological sophistication that enabled cheaper global manufacturing, billions of people in the Middle East and Asia especially have rapidly evolved into competitive workers that successfully took over control of supplying the world with manufactured goods. The transfer of these millions of western jobs to the east increased slightly the living standards of billions of Asians to the huge detriment of the living standards of millions of westerners. The long term solution to this problem is a massive increase in trade barriers to restore manufacturing jobs in the west. This in the short term will lead to massive inflation and recession, but in the long term will restore self sufficiency and increased employment in the west and restore pride and dignity to its people.

Nope..because half of the time in a year your land is covered with ice..so how do you survive without food in winter? basically you guys sell your things and services to other countries and survive on that..being the second largest consumer in the world..we indians are adding values to your GDP from years..and the facilities you are shouting after the most, the free food, the free shelter, the free dentist provided by your country is earned by your country from other countries..but do we survive on your products and services? I understand this is an economics channel, but saying that NO ONE wants to live in Canada because of 3 issues with the economy that most developed countries in the world are dealing w/ is kinda stupid (It's almost like most of the world is in a recession.?) A lot of this data is straight-up wrong or twisted in a way as to be really misleading. The whole video is just full of inconsistencies and is overall extremely critical of Canada to the point of making it sound like a terrible place to live. You could probably find 3 random issues with every single country in the world to make a video about, there's nothing about Canada that makes it as bad as he seems to be trying to make it out to be.

I came in the 80s to canada as a landed immigrant which is equivalent to a PR now. Life was much easier for newcomers then to start. Jobs were readily available and with a good command of the English language and a broader mind to accept other cultures and people i felt the adaptation was good. As for the struggles i had lots of patience and didn't mind doing my own chores. Cook clean at home and work in a 9 to 5 office job. I even volunteered as a Sunday school teacher to young children. I also kept my hobby as an artist. It depends on ones courage and patience and ability to adapt in a foreign country. Canada was the best decision i took for me and my family especially my children who graduated here.yes now i am retired over 60 and yes i do spend time abroad including india while it snows here? after covid and the ongoing wars and the recession around the world life is not the same in any part of the world. You have to make the best decision for your particular situation you are in. I never regretted coming to Canada ??.

Right now is probably the worst time to come here. With global recession and post-pandemic hardship, everyone is feeling the pinch. Small businesses are closing down as they could not repay back the relief loans given by the government during the pandemic. Trudeau’s policy of immigration through the educational stream and admitting so many refugees from Syria and Ukraine have caused massive rent increase - too many people chasing after lower real estate supply. Because people are feeling the pinch, crimes are up and homelessness has become a serious issue. But, here are the (long-term) advantages of living here, vs. The Philippines:\n- free healthcare - no matter how rich you are back home, wealth can be depleted if a major illness strikes;\n- free education for your kids up to highschool and opportunity for your kids to enter worldclass universities after highschool;\n- government programs that actually work - Worker rights are upheld, doleouts when you lose your job, 12-month mat/paternity leave, doleout/govt match when you save for yr kid’s university educ, tax rebates for whatever you save for retirement, retirement income even if you never held a job, infrastructures are maintained, transparency and stability of political system; \n- safer environment - yes, greater crimes lately, but still one of the safest places to live. I live in greater Toronto, and sometimes we forget to lock our door at night or leave a bicycle outside and nothing happens;\n- commitment to the environment - the country adheres to protecting the envt. I'm perfectly happy with Canada and being Canadian. My business is thriving. I don't own a house (i'm 50) and probably won't. They aren't good investments and both a recession and a housing crash are necessary to lower prices. \n\nLet me say something about the housing crisis - it's not immigration. Canadians are overleveraged. Many own second, third and fourth properties that they rent out. Once they have to renew into the teeth of higher rates you'll start to see a correction like what we saw in the 1980s. Couple that with higher unemployment and you have a recipe for a crash. Everyone wants lower house prices -- until we get them. Go try to renew your 600,000k mortgage on your million-dollar house that's now worth $800,000. \n\nHealth care is a problem - but where isn't it? The UK? The US? The whole world has been in recession from last year .As for Canada we started to feel it more this year.With recession everything becomes inaccessible.

Every city in the world is changing/has changed. We are in a major recession right now and we still have not seen the worst of it.

The way I see this recession most likely has an external cause. The United States is losing influence as a federal currency for the first time in decades. They don’t have any economies to utilize to control their inflation, and less money is being spent on stock and oil trading than previously. They all lend credence to the hypothesis that a new multilateral world order may be in the works.

During the 1930's media in various countries made immigrants and asylum seekers out to be this horrible thing and demonised them. This came after a huge recession in 1923, the Wall Street crash, and the subsequent dramatic rise of far right parties in various countries, specifically Italy, then Germany and Spain. \nFast-forward to modern times. 2008 saw another global recession. Once again politics swung massively to the right with countries like Italy (once again), Hungary, Austria, Poland and Sweden, voting in right wing governments, France ending in a run off that narrowly defeated the far right, Belgium and Spain looking likely to be heading into heavily right wing governments at the next elections, whilst the US and UK governments both saw their politics swinging far further in that direction, especially the UK right now whilst led by an unelected leader who is demonising people in ways that would make Trump look soft. One of themajor rallying calls: immigration. The way media report on this becomes increasingly demeaning and hateful. During the 1930's much of the European media and even as far as the UK was ramping up the scorn against the ever increasing influx of Jewish immigrants coming from Germany. Even into 1944 there was a vast amount of demonisation of them seeking asylum, despite the knowledge by this point that there were horrific conditions in camps where extermination was becoming ever more apparent. The Nazi German government in 1936 passed laws that enabled them to revoke citizenship and stripped away laws on human rights. It would be great to say that these poor souls who were being demonised in their own country were accepted into nations who could see what was going on and who wanted to help, but that just wasn't the way it went. Media played out as it is now, leading to rejection and a greater number of deaths as a result of this. The way the UK government is currently working, it actually sounds like the maxi government of the mid 30's during the time of the Nürnberg laws. \n \nThe world feels far smaller now with double the amount of people and with things like social media playing a huge role in the lives of many. The ease of access to people around the world has made issues seem to stretch to far more countries now, whereas back then it was a time of empires. I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.

Being someone that has travelled the world there is no country better then another but.... The cost of living and stuff in Canada yes it's high but we are in a recession ? the housing market has changed jn the past 10 years... It's hard for anyone not just immigrants.. The thing about having experience in a country and not being able to transfer it, there's a reason for that there are plenty of country's that have alot. Of corruption most places u can get fake degrees by paying enough money ;) Indonesia is a big one and we have alot of immigrants coming from there... Imo ca t really blame. Canada for. Any of this, it also depends were you move in Canada,. My hometown is extremely friendly with Imigrants...
