Its just the uneducated Indians and immigrants who come to Canada that are messing things up, my parents immigrated to Canada from Pakistan, both my parents are from well educated families. When they came to Canada my dad got a job as a engineer and my moms a house wife, they are well assimilated to the culture of Canada and speak good English, they still practice there religion but don't force it down peoples throats. These are the types of immigrants that Canada needs not uneducated rats who don't know how to respect the people and country that welcomed them in the first place.

This is going to sound super cruel but in American its just as bad, over the last 8 years over 30 family owned businesses or small restaurants have been taken over and bought out by Indian people in my area alone, the food quality dips, quality in general dips, they're rude, they get mad if THEY mess up at you which is super disrespectful. I worked with the liberals in 2017 and this was orchestrated. Trudeau plan 400 was the name of it and he claimed it was to build relationships with india and Pakistan for free trade. Trudeau got funding in the hundreds of millions by Indian investors in return the liberals configured the laws so these investors could make payday off all the Indians. Then the liberals went too far by creating ridiculous visas for indiand for them to enter Canada like the nanny Visa called something else but they can take care of their own healthy family just to enter the country. Student visas allowed to work which turns into full time employment at liberal party hotspots like tim hortons and Amazon. They hire only Indians because the government pays half there salary Racism is extremely high and many communities have boycotted indian run establishments like in mine 2 groups went out of biz. I’ve lived in foreign countries as both temporary and permanent resident but I never ever felt entitled to reside there forever. While I’m sure some are caught off guard, they still have a home to go back to. We already have a mess with incompatible newcomers. Maybe we can work on that next.

This is the fault of Canadians. The whole concept of Multiculturalism is a façade. What the hell did you all think would happen when you bring a bunch of people to the country but tell them they can hold on to their own beliefs and cultures? I'm sure the reason why the concept seemed like a good idea because you thought it was a way to keep immigrants out of White Canadian spaces. Fast-forward a few decades and now look at the mess it has created.

As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

Aspects like religion, race, language are big factors that shape a culture. No country wants mass immigration but you can not blame Indians for this mess. Though Brampton might be an exception (Sikh and Pakistani illegals coming as hardcore radicals) Most Indians (non-Sikh) come legally, are law abiding, pay taxes and work hard just like immigrant forefathers of the whiteys. I came here from Nigeria as a professional. I must say the Canada govt has to develop some spines. I am grateful for the opportunity to be in Canada. I do not take it for granted. But truth be told, if you ve got a country like Canada, you cannot allow everyone in the world in. You can’t allow a single country change your demography except you are STUPID. Even heaven has boundaries. You can’t allow everyone. It is not wisdom to allow everyone. Immigration into Canada has been a mess for decades, but far worse over the last ten years. This should be the hardest country on earth to immigrate to. Instead, it's the easiest.

This does not include temporary foreign workers and international students both of which saw a significant increase especially after mid-2022. About over one quarter of the new immigrants are from India and Pakistan. This likely explains how Brampton became the fastest growing city in Canada (ninth most populous municipality in Canada) and the third largest city in Ontario surpassing Mississauga at the start of 2025 behind Toronto and Ottawa. Trudeau preached immigration diversity but this is not diversity when over a quarter came from 2 countries.

I think due to the prosperity and stability Canada has enjoyed for so long Canadians have developed a certain standard of living and expectations in regards to that. So no, we don't want to have to work 2-3 minimum wage paying jobs to get by, no we don't want to live 4 or more to a 400 sqft studio apartment, yes we want to be able to afford our own homes, yes we want to be able to achieve a stable middle class lifestyle. That doesn't work for the crony capitalists who's greed and lust for power always needs satiating. So we have the Liberal government bringing in more immigrants than we have infrastructure to accommodate in an effort to keep wages down so profits can always be up. Immigrants who are willing to accept a lower quality of life than what most Canadians expect/accustom to because it's still superior to where they came from. So the quality of life for all Canadians is exponentially reduced. We are to accept a lower quality of life and if we resist then we are branded with all kinds of derogatory names; racist, xenophobe, fascist, unacceptable fringe, far-right extremists, et al. What's undeniable is that before the Liberals took power in 2015 we had an immigration system in Canada that worked quite well and that since the Liberals took power our immigration system is a destructive mess. This isn't by accident or incompetence, it's intentional, by design. Unfortunately Canada has a problem with so much of our population being ideologically blind, willingly ignorant, easily manipulated, cowardly staying in an abusive relation with our current oppressive government. Question is can the country be saved before too much damage is done?

WHAT IF IT'S YOU? what will it take for people to finally care about the issues in the community?!? crackhead immigrant? deported... cdl's? 10mil government trust fund to either run your own truck or to open a company...this would end all of these bankruptcy runaways whenever shit happens... student WORK visas? revoke them all...if they can't afford to pay for their international studies they have no business being an international student... first you study...get your degree once COMPLETED if you want to come back because you liked Canada apply from OUTSIDE Canada for a visa/pr. we don't need people working 10 years saving up to study living in a condo bedroom like 6 people in there driving up the cost of living for everyone else then fucking off when shit gets tough...
