Dont know about canada but we Indians live rent-free in canadians heads. I've never been to canada, nor even thought about that country much in my life up until i started meeting many canadians on the internet who lose it on me for no reason at all. The most hateful people i have met online have been canadians. I have talked to american gr0ypers online on platforms like discord and omegle etc... and they've been more respectful, polite and friendly than so called "liberal" canadians. Some of them i even befriended. This is sad. What a sorry state it would be to live in one of these canadians mind. Filled with hate against one particular peoples. All of this hate that i have received will only make me definitely avoid to visit canada at all costs!

It's ABOUT TIME someone starts talking about Indians invading and destroying beautiful places. I'm in the US, in a very affluent area of New Jersey, and we've had to move 3 times because Indians find the beautiful communities, overwhelm them - with too many people in one house, too many loud/unruly children, leaving piles of shoes on doorsteps, using beautiful yards and terraces as junk storage/laundry drying areas, making everything smell and look terrible because they have no class and their food smells permeate other people's homes as well at the outdoor air... They turn luxury developments into Indian slums and nobody's talking about it because they're afraid to sound racist. I have almost every race in my own family. So I KNOW I'm not racist. I just find it intolerable that there aren't more laws in place to protect lovely American communities from being overrun by non-assimilating Indians or any other immigrant population.

While I don't really have a strong opinion about Brampton being mostly Indians, I do have an opinion that Canadians should condemn other areas as well that are majority of immigrants. Vaughn area is filled with Chinese people no one makes a fuss about it. They ain't speaking english, they aint serving American junk food everywhere, yet Indians are a problem. The community has vices, but justifying xenophobia with that is awful. European descendant people came here and took over native Canadians. Can't think how it must've felt for them. That was unarguably way worse than the current immigration system. My point being its a problem against a specific community is not really being uncomfortable for the sake of the country but purely out of spite and racism. I can see the concerns but not when they stereotype every Indian.

My family immigrated during the war, my grandmother came here after escaping a concentration camp when she was a little girl, her and my mother taught me to appreciate what we have, because it was worked hard for, they worked hard to make a living and a future for their families, they were given money by family that was here and paid back every, single, cent, it wasn't just given to them for free by the government while the rest of the people here suffer, so many of the people are brought here and given everything, it's like people have never heard the phrase "Give a man to fish, he eats for a day. I feel very sad because, in the end, all immigrants end up paying the price for the bad attitudes of a few. I speak especially from the perspective of Latin American immigrants: we are not the majority in Canada, but we come with the intention of adapting, of including ourselves in the local culture, and of contributing the best we can. Our culture is not so distant — we share religion, family values, and lifestyle — and we arrive with the willingness to integrate, not to impose. Even so, for us the path is extremely difficult: getting permanent residency and, eventually, citizenship is a long, expensive, and complicated process. And we do it, we comply with the rules, we respect, we pay everything. What hurts is seeing that some other groups arrive with a different attitude: instead of integrating, they want to impose their culture, their religion, even their body odors, and if you make a face or express discomfort, they immediately take it as “discrimination.” It is not fair that, for example, my child should stop bringing meat in his lunch just because another child bullies him saying he is “a filthy sinner.” Inclusion should be mutual, an effort on both sides, not a one-sided demand.

i know Trudeau gets a lot of crap from people, but my god this was a hell of a speech. same with Bernie Sanders' speech. i got goosebumps and also trying to fight back tears simultaneously. my ex wife is disabled receiving social security, medicare, and medicaid due to being in a wheelchair and requiring consistent medical care and attention. she receives, and is expected to survive on, $800 a month and $300 in foodstamps. she lives in campgrounds which is 90% cheaper than rent, and still has to budget, struggle and go without a lot to make life work all while being in tremendous pain and reliant on help from others. As a Canadian citizen I have always admired the US up until now, I sincerely wanted to move to the US to build homes and start up a company. But now am re-evaluating my decision because if this how the US treats their friends and allies, I really feel sad for their enemies. Both countries benefited from having a good relationship and now the great US has no one willing to challenge Mr Trump on this idiotic move, America is alienating themselves from a lot of countries and regular Americans are the ones who are going to suffer from this fall-out, the rich won't be affected but regular working class folks your stress is going to get a whole lot worse and that's unfortunate. Hopefully US wises up sooner rather than later and stop blaming immigration for their problems it's poor governing and politicians that have us looking at each other as enemies rather than humans with the same struggle and issues. They have money to send annually overseas but none to improve the life of their citizens in need, that should tell you something. People that don't look like you aren't your enemies, people who try to harm you, undermine you are your enemies. People are just searching for a better life that's all, the most basic thing humans have in common, change the red tape a make things more structured and rid your country of the bad apples and welcome those willing to work, build and serve God and the country. All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money.
