Canada has a government that is destroying our country. The working class gets to pay for all these immigrants that live better and have more benefits than Canadians. Working Canadians are struggling to live. Our adult children have no hope of owning homes. We need to get rid of the corrupt liberals!!!!!!!

I disapprove of immigrants that abandon their non functioning 3rd world country, but then want to turn their HOST country, in the non working 3rd world country.

I been a legal immigrants in a few countries (for work) and I would always adapt to the country im in. And I usually dont go to places that are from my native country. Im in the new country to experience that, if I want my native country things, I do it at home or go back to my country.

How are these people getting there? In the 1990s, as a white European from Slovakia, I wanted to visit Canada purely as a tourist. I had no intention of staying, working, or immigrating. At that time, we still needed a visa to enter Canada. To obtain a visitor visa, I had to provide: A valid passport A completed visa application form Passport photos Payment of the visa fee A letter of invitation (if visiting someone) or a basic travel plan Proof of sufficient financial funds (bank statements for several months) Proof of employment (employment letter confirming my job and approved leave) Pay slips or proof of regular income If self-employed: business registration and tax documents Proof of property ownership (if applicable) Evidence of strong ties to Slovakia (family, job, studies, business) Sometimes a criminal record check Confirmation that I had no prior immigration violations

Nobody is talking about all the babies being born with these immigrant couples and families. Canadian young people are deciding not to have children because sadly they can't afford them. Meanwhile immigrants are using our over burdened medical fiasco while our children and tax payers work non stop supporting them! More babies, bigger accommodations, support, child tax credits, extra necessities, vehicles, even friggin credit cards paid by us.

There have always been a few questionable people that are immigrants and refugees but it was in the early 2000s when you first started to see the foreign students and immigrants/refugees start to me more the "gimmegrant" type. They wanted sponsorship, benefits, housing, etc but didn't want to put in the work or participate and some were very dim also. It just got worse every year from 2006 I would say but with Trudeau in 2015 letting more in and telling them we have no culture spelled our doom but then you have ministers like Rempel who also like to play according to the wind. She was all about Islamophobia and supporting Muslims when convenient but now seems to want to close doors.

Immigration is fine as long as they’re vetted, have skills the country needs,ie doctors , tradesmen, but letting in everybody and their dog is ridiculous! Why is it that it’s only poopjeets that are being brought in to take over. Are there no other countries that have refugees that aren’t fleas on the system? If you come to canada, seeking asylum, or immigrating, they should all be required to work day 1, Healthcare, fine, handouts no. Welfare no. Work. Like my family when they immigrated. All the government needs to do is set up programs with farmers, or any industry to provide worker spots. Fed Government can either top up(not preferred) or like the good old days require an employer to provide lodging, for a nominal rate, towards their total income paid(3 square included). My and countless other families/ people had to enter the country that way, and it worked. So if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Just an FYI here, lived worked my entire adult life in Canada, 62 now and don't have a doctor, can't retire anytime soon, but my illegal immigrant neighbours get 80 thousand dollars per year and free EVERYTHING! My sister was going to immigrate to Australia from South Africa with her family. They expected her to be able to take care of them for 5yrs, have a certain amount of money to do so. That wasn't a problem as she owned a medical supply company and was a registered nurse,trained in Canada, worked in Florida for 5yrs. I knew people working at Immigration back in 2018, and they were raising concerns with their supervisors about significant fraudulent applications, but were told to keep pushing people through because the government wanted numbers.

Immigration is a federal responsibility, not provincial and Canada should remain a welcoming country to all immigrants imo, but, if you're here on a work or student visa, newcomers should have to prove employment, training, full-time enrollment, and residency on a quarterly basis. It would drastically limit people becoming ghosts in the system. Refugees and asylum seekers should be allowed 1 appeal only and removed immediately if their claim has been denied. A 90-day grace period should be enacted to get their paperwork and affairs in order. If you're here for a better life, steps should be taken to ensure you're actively trying to accomplish that goal until citizenship is granted. Jmho.

My cousin came to canada under a 1 year work visa,, shes white french woman.. Speaks 5 languages, has 3 degrees, ran a business in France.. she landed here 1 years ago,, had to spend 400$ to prove she speaks ENGLISH, (she speaks it fluently),, she paid taxes the moment she landed and got a job, bought a car, a small apartment. I know some older Indians who assimilated well and made Canada better, but these new immigrants are no good. They want everything for free. My roommate is from the Philippines, but she works hard, is very clean, polite, and easy to get along with. So I'm not against immigration, but I want the people coming over to pay their own way. IRCC is now granting repeated extensions on tourist visas. Why are they allowing these extensions? What are these individuals expected to do in Canada for years? Many tourist visa holders have been in Canada for several years — not necessarily because they refuse to leave, but because IRCC keeps extending their status. Some of these individuals end up working illegally, taking jobs from Canadian youth and citizens, and adding pressure to the housing market. The increasing numbers of asylum claimants, international students, temporary work permit holders, tourist visa holders, and undocumented individuals are placing strain on Canada and its citizens. IRCC needs to strictly follow the law and enforce regulations. If not, Canada’s immigration system will continue to be exploited, and abusive individuals or even criminals could find it easier to enter the country.

Canada cursed with short sighted political leaders (ON ALL PARTIES) failed to do the basics to even attempt to diversify the economy. No new ports, refineries, pipelines Al infrastructure..ect Those aforementioned issues are compounded by either too much immigration without support or too few immigrants to grow into an economic opening up. It's sad to see what has happened to our immigration system. It's not sustainable and not just not only for Canadian citizens but also for the new immigrants that arrive and can't find work or afford rent.

He likely commissioned the Century Initiative report and he hired the author of it to work for HIM, not Canada. People complaining do not acknowledge that Canada created a corrupt system where educational institutions made money from foreign students, foreign students in return were happy as long as they got to work. At least they are willing to work and pay taxes. In fact, we should look at the root cause of these problems. It is the colleges making money off these immigrants, it is the corporations who do not want to pay decent living wages to Canadians so they are hiring these immigrants at minimum wage jobs. This is called capitalism where the corporate has to save as much money as possible for their shareholders. So yes immigration is a huge problem but immigrants alone are not at fault. The fault lies with the government (federal, provincial and municipal) and the corporate entities in Canada as well.

Housing and health care for Canadians are out of control, something needs to be done and if this is what it takes then so be it, one of the main reasons is too many immigrants allowed in to the country. Canadian youth born here simply can not find entry level work, I am not anti immigration, I am for limited immigration with better vetting.

I live in Brampton born and raised. Indians are generally nice people but this new generation of immigrants that came around covid time were different. Working at places like Walmart now feels like a job not meant for us Canadians. Entire work place blasting Punjabi music and speaking in another language. Imagine feeling foreign in your own country while trying to work.

Ive seen young Canadians who canet find work and may have to move to the US for good futures some have already started and taking their skills with them. Canada dies not need high levels it needs more affordable homes, better paying jobs, etc do they can have kids and increase the population organically.
