The thing that never seems to be brought up is East Indians 80% own houses. They come here and they own houses and have businesses that they ONLY hire East Indians, have East Indian clientele ONLY because they all pay cash so they can circumvent the taxes. They all make babies like mice so give it 40 years and Canada will not be recognizable. And it’s the governments fault because they’re so greedy for tax money that they let the here by the boat load because they don’t wanna wait for the rest of us to make Canada larger population wise because it will take way too long. That and their tuition money for colleges, the list goes on in this non talked about bullshit that the liberals have done. They seriously do all this scheming and raising taxes just to give our tax money away to everyone but the people who pay the taxes. We could have put a huge dent in the national debt by now, but liberals just can’t conserve money hence their name. If it doesn’t stop soon, we are doomed. Surrey BC where I lived for 14 years, is just as bad as Brampton. They all own 1.6-2 million dollar houses in the suburbs of the city, all own businesses and all do the same shit as Brampton, circumvent the taxes. That’s the thanks we get for letting them here is to scam us so they can get rich quick while we all suffer and will never own a house by the looks of it. In Victoria BC where I live now, it’s gotten so bad that I can’t move out of my house I’ve been in for 4 years cuz I can’t find anything cheaper and this place is a 400sq ft 1 bedroom for $1850 a month. Can’t afford to do anything but survive while the immigrants all live like kings. There’s gotta be a line to not cross and that has been the case for too long where it’s been crossed for a long time and no one says or does anything about it out of fear of being called a racist. Call me one. Idgaf anymore. I ain’t racist. I’m just sick of the rules being severely crossed for money. Money makes everyone that has a lot of it GREEDY sons of bitches and it’s gotta stop.

As soon as you cross into Brampton, you notice right away how noticeably more erratic and egoistic the drivers are!

Soon we will be the 51st state and we won't need all this stuff. We can just cross the border and there will actually be no international border.

Canada, you have my support. Hell, I think I'll cross the border for some shopping soon. I vacation in Canada and have made over a dozen trips, staying in Canadian hotels, eating at Canadian restaurants, and shopping in Canadian stores. I will this year as well. See ya in June!

Remember when this same fellow froze protesters bank accounts and began collecting peoples weapons? Yet, he has the gull to talk about dictators. Trump actually wants to avoid WWIII and I hope what his administration does will bring an end to the war. Though, I do agree he should be more tough on Putin. That being said, I do agree that the crossings from Canada are not nearly as significant as compared to our southern border. It would be nice to see more from Canada in their investments to secure the border and stop crossings, cartel movements, and drug operations. The US has spent more than 409 billion since 2003 on such operations. Regardless, I feel for you Canadians and it sucks that it has come to this and I hope we keep strong relations in the future. Hopefully we can come to a fair deal soon. Mexico and China are the big players that do not do nearly enough to prevent these crimes. In fact, the Mexican government helps the cartels by not trying to stop them. China's lack of regulation on the ingredients to make fentanyl contribute to a large extent to this tragedy as well.

If your insane president won't back down, electricity will be cut off, and potash and nickel will no longer be exported. Agreements with Homeland security will be canceled, NORAD may be cancelled, and cross border travel will be severely restricted soon. Canadian armed forces will be standing by to halt an American military operation, and our European Allies will join us for what we hope will only be another cold war.

I stand with the Lord Jesus Christ the Lord of all, the one who took our punishment for sin upon himself and gave his life for us on the cross at Calvary because he was the only one who could and you can also if like me you are fed up with and totally against this evil that is going on in our world turn to God call on Jesus Christ to save you right now, why wait any longer. Repent of all sin and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour today.\nTo receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and be saved from sin–\nRomans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.\nRomans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.\nRomans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.\nRomans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Trump says EU tariffs will ‘definitely happen’ as Mexico, Canada and China retaliate
\nTrump takes softer line on UK, saying ‘I think that one can be worked out’, while Mexico and Canada vow levies and to strengthen ties with each other

\nDonald Trump has threatened to widen the scope of his trade tariffs, repeating his warning that the European Union – and potentially the UK – will face levies, even as he conceded that Americans could bear some of the economic brunt of a nascent global trade war.
\n
\nIt comes as Trump’s tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, announced on Saturday, sparked retaliation from all three countries. Mexico and Canada have vowed levies of their own while China and Canada are seeking legal challenges.
\n
\nTrump said on Sunday night that new tariffs on the EU will “definitely happen”, repeating previous complaints about the large US trade deficit with the bloc and his desire for Europe to import more American cars and agricultural products.

\n“It will definitely happen with the European Union, I can tell you that,” he told reporters. “I wouldn’t say there’s a timeline but it’s going to be pretty soon.”
\n
\nTrump appeared to take a softer line on the UK, citing a good relationship with prime minister Keir Starmer while saying tariffs still “might happen”. “The UK is out of line but I’m sure that one, I think that one can be worked out,” he said.
\n
\n“Well Prime Minister Starmer’s been very nice, we’ve had a couple of meetings, we’ve had numerous phone calls, we’re getting along very well, we’ll see whether or not we can balance out our budget.”
\n
\nIn Canada, the department of finance published a list of US products imported into Canada that it will target with a 25% retaliatory tariff starting on Tuesday.
\n
\nThe list shows products that will be hit in the first round of retaliatory tariffs by Canada starting on Tuesday, and mounts to $30bn Canadian dollars’ worth of goods (about US$20bn). The impacted products include tobacco, produce, household appliances, firearms and military gear.
\n
\nCanada is also preparing for a second, broader round of retaliatory tariffs in 21 days that will target an additional C$125bn (US$86bn) worth of US imports. The second list would include passenger vehicles, trucks, steel and aluminum products, certain fruits and vegetables, beef, pork, dairy products and more.

Trump is imposing steep tariffs on major US trading partners Canada, Mexico and China, with a lower rate on Canadian energy imports, said the White House on February 1, 2025. \nClaudia Sheinbaum, Mexico’s president, said her government will provide more details on the retaliatory tariffs she ordered on US goods on Monday. Sheinbaum, in a statement on Sunday, said she will announce details on her government’s “plan B” as she insisted that Mexico “doesn’t want confrontation”.
\n
\n“Problems are not addressed by imposing tariffs, but with talks and dialogue,” she said. “Sovereignty is not negotiable: coordination yes, subordination no.”

\n'Coordination yes, subordination no': Mexican president responds to Trump's tariffs – video
\nSheinbaum and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau spoke by phone on Saturday after Trump’s administration imposed the new tariffs – 25% on goods from Canada and Mexico, with a lower rate of 10% for Canadian oil, and 10% on imports from China.
\n
\nTrudeau’s office said in a statement that Canada and Mexico agreed “to enhance the strong bilateral relations” between their countries. Canadian officials have had extensive dialogue with their Mexican counterparts, but a senior Canadian official said he would not go as far as to say the tariff responses were coordinated.
\n
\n“Now is the time to choose products made right here in Canada,” Trudeau posted Sunday on X. “Check the labels. Let’s do our part. Wherever we can, choose Canada.”
\n
\nTrump acknowledged the sweeping tariffs he has imposed on Mexico, Canada and China may cause “short term” pain for Americans as global markets reflected concerns the levies could undermine growth and reignite inflation. Asian markets, cryptocurrencies and US and European stock futures slumped in early Asian trading on Monday.
\n
\n“We may have short term some little pain, and people understand that. But long term, the United States has been ripped off by virtually every country in the world,” he said. day, Trudeau said: “We’re certainly not looking to escalate, but we will stand up for Canada.” However on Sunday evening, a senior government official from Canada briefing reporters in Ottowa on condition of anonymity said: “We will obviously pursue the legal recourse that we believe we have through the agreements that we share with the United States.”
\n
\nThe official said the Canadian government considered the move by Trump illegal and said it violates the trade commitments between the two countries under their free trade agreement and under the World Trade Organization.
\n
\n“If other legal avenues are available to us, they will be considered as well,” the official said.
\n
\nCanada is the largest export market for 36 states, and Mexico is the largest trading partner of the US.
\n
\nCanada and Mexico ordered the tariffs despite Trump’s further threat to increase the duties charged if retaliatory levies are placed on US goods.
\n
\nChina also said it would file a lawsuit against the tariffs. The imposition of tariffs by the US “seriously violates” World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, China’s commerce ministry said in a statement, urging the US to “engage in frank dialogue and strengthen cooperation”.
\n
\nFiling a lawsuit with the WTO would be a largely symbolic move that Beijing has also taken against tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles by the EU.
\n
\nThe commerce ministry also said the tariffs were “not only unhelpful in solving the US’s own problems, but also undermine normal economic and trade cooperation”. China has said it would take countermeasures to “safeguard its own rights and interests”. It is not clear exactly what form these will take yet. But for weeks Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning has said Beijing believes there is no winner in a trade war.
\n
\nLate Sunday night, Trump said he would speak with Trudeau on Monday morning and shortly after said he would speak with Mexico as well, although he did not specify that he would speak with Sheinbaum.
\n
\nBeyond the official response, people were already thinking of ways to cope with Trump’s decision, including by sharing suggestions on social media for alternatives to US products.

\nOne fan at the Raptors game chose to sit during the anthem while wearing a Canada hat. Joseph Chua, who works as an importer, said he expects to feel the tariffs “pretty directly”. “I’ve always stood during both anthems. I’ve taken my hat off to show respect to the American national anthem, but today we’re feeling a little bitter about things,” he said, adding that he will start to avoid buying US products.
\n
\nIn the streets, people in Mexico were trying to absorb the announcement on Sunday, although some in the capital acknowledged that they were unaware of the measures.
\n
\nIn the border city of Mexicali, across from Calexico, California, some people were concerned about the wider implications of a trade war.
\n
\nDriver Alejandro Acosta says that he crosses the border weekly in his truck to deliver vegetables to US companies. He said he fears US businesses in the Mexicali Valley will no longer want to operate in Mexico and they will move to the US.
\n
\n“If they raise taxes on the factories here, jobs may also decrease,” he said.

Pretty soon Donald Trump will not arrest them anymore they will put them to sleep. To teach them a lesson not to cross the border. It's going to get that bad.. ?

It's time people stopped crossing borders. It's causing uneasiness across the globe especially by Hindians and Mueslis. It's causing upheavals in society in the intended destinations. Hope those people already there will be deported or asked to go back soon. There's only so much a country can accept as visitors or migrants due to lack of resources in the host country. If they are there for welfare, please leave

All these people (Desperate Punjabis and Gujaratis ) who are crossing from Canada to US via the US Canada border and seeking Asylum will be deported as soon as possible back to canada under the safe country agreement between US and Canada. They will never be able to apply asylum in US once they are deported from US to canada. Least they will have an option to file asylum in canada will obviously wont give them any fruits given the houseful condition. ???

Bro , I am an African and I am pro immigration but I am also a conservative and I can not wait to kick out this autocratic Government . The best governed Provinces are led by conservatives . \nYou mentioned Alberta. Alberta is the only province where mortgages are still within 1990s rates. \n\nOntario is Run by Chinese. And they don't like black people so do not blame conservatives. \n\nAlberta is the most attractive province for immigration. \nSaskatchewan too life is still easy here. \nThe housing mess was caused by liberals' poor maths. \n\nThe most group of people who get affected by mass immigration is black people. Because Europeans and Arabs are educated more than us then we are left to work for them and scramble for the left over.\n\nGhost agents are not a problem and I don't think It's wise to talk about what they do with what they charge. \n\nPeople who get assistance from these ghosts agents are people who would not get a visa at all. \n\nI have crossed African borders with or without a passport and I have seen how tough it is for even an African in Africa. \nIf people are drowning trying to cross to Europe then what is it being charged few thousands (thousands they can afford) to get them here safely? \n\nCome on bro. If you want to make money from this stop tarnishing other people's names. \n\nAlso all this nonsense will stop soon when we conservatives take over!!

This is allowed to bring in a cheap labor force for these corporations who don't appreciate American workers demanding better pay. If they wanted to secure the border we have an entire Military and we could landmind every inch of the border and an ant wouldn't dare cross. The voters have better wake up but fast your getting hoodwinked by the oligarchy your not going yo have a country soon.

I believe her I had a conversation with a Canadian guy at a party he talked to me about a job I was drinking we was partying so I just continue to enjoy as soon as I had him on a one on one the guy acted like we never spoke and then he put his hand on the counter and show me the color of his skin and told me there is a boundary between us don't cross it ? I nearly ripped his head off

But soon as Haitians try to cross the United States borders American authorities send them right back.

Wanna know how to stop all this bullshit? Very easy. A couple m60's with few thousand rounds mounted along border every 100 yards and just let the bullets fly as soon as anyone crosses that fence. God dam people it isn't rocket science. If the cost of illegal entry isn't greater than the cost of staying put in their own shitty country made shitty by those same people then they won't stop coming illegally. Have to make it not worth the trouble

Because they know even if they cross illegally they will find jobs in the construction industry.. the companies of America hire them and then pay them low wages which works out for the companies because paying with cash or 1099 tax form they are not obligated to taxes, retirements, 401k, no insurance. A few years back a company was hired to remove tree limbs from power lines so they went to central America and brought back workers for the labor. It went live on the news and was asked why wasn't Americans offered the opportunity to get a job doing the work.. as soon as the news report came out it was just as quickly removed from the airways. How do you think the rich get richer cheap labor brings higher profits

They come to Canada because they know it will take years to process them, they get to live for free on the tax payers dime. Full medical and dental and housing as soon as they cross the border illegally. \nSadly, 10's of 1000's of immigrants that are trying to do it the legal way, have all been put to the back of the line due to the govt using all resources to process all the illegals.

I think this is a very Montreal centric view - public transport, safety and cost of living in montreal is honestly the best in Canada. Definitely not true for other cities (I live in Ottawa for example - COL and Public Transport are both pretty terrible here)\n\nBut I definitely would live in Canada over the US lol, as soon as you cross the border you can tell you’re not in Canada anymore

Really ? Quebec no 1 ?? Don`t get me wrong I live here.... It's pretty....Socialist...Stalin Socialist. Islamophobia is common sense! In any democratic nation's constituency, the moment they cross 30% electorate they'll actup, impose Sharia laws. Ofcourse, if they cross 50% they'll soon kill others, convert forcibly. And eventually, when they start ruling, then there is the reign of terror - non-muslims are economically boycotted (halal/haram rules), killed (jihad), taxed till they either die in poverty or convert (jaziya)... all of that will happen. There is enough precedence in the world to validate that... we saw how Persian culture was destroyed, Egyptian culture was destroyed including destroying the ancient Sphynx, how afghanistan changed from buddism to a radical nation including the destruction of the ancient Bhamiyan buddha, how lebanon changed from christian majority to muslim nation recently... the same transition is happening in Sweden, Norway, France, UK, India... it wont be long before we see that in USA. Christians and Jews living in democracies will soon be wiped out by Islam because political parties will endlessly appease them to the point that it becomes suicidal! I repeat, Islamophobia is common sense!!

We were crossing into Canada by Niagara, as soon as the Canadian border guard saw our British passports, before we had even passed them over he said you folks British, no need for that nonsense, were not like that bunch of tight arses over there, gesturing towards the US, come on in and have a great stay ? love Canadians just for that ?

As soon as they double crossed the indigenous people the system started

With the US air ban that should help in eliminating illegal border crossings. Plus it looks like the Canadian /US border will soon be shut down to non-essensial travel. So this and any other illegal border crossings must be shut down.
|
| 2020-03-17 | 0 |
And with each one they will continue to further be a burden on Canada and our taxes will need to go up to pay for their welfare. Soon our CPP wont be there because of the new Canadians who come here illegally. Our government should be taking steps to close that border crossing point.

I'm black Canadian... Of course I would never say racism doesn't exist in Canada... But the Canada that they are describing is foreign to me... Where as As soon as I cross the brother to the state I get racially profile... By the time I get to New York City I'll get stop 3 times on average... So... Again not sure which Canada they are describing...otd a different time now...
