clicked on this video hoping for an even sided take instead it seems like this guy has already made up his mind and is actively showing and promoting racist views, i remember growing up in Burnaby BC and Vancouver bc when the chinese/japanese and just asia in general started immigrating to canada. The racists back then whined and cried about a ton of asian shops opening and bad drivers etc. Hell they didn't even like asian only churches they would cry "why do they need their own churches?" while saying their cooking stinks, their shops stink to their face and bitching about just about anything. Now its happening again in Toronto and the racists have moved on from asians and now focus their hate towards the indian community. as a native American all i can say is if you're actively going to bitch about immigrants. Maybe everyone that isn't native american or culture didnt originate from the north Americas should head back home? otherwise quit bitching and learn to love one another. At the end of the day Canadians and Americans are imigrants from Europe.

I love Punjabi people, they are high class and they surprise me when they tell me they were farmers before coming to canada because I don't get that rugged vibe from them. That guy at 2:50 was purhaps the most honest 'white' guy you will meet. The fact is Indians didn't take over, the upper class just decided to move north to Bolton or more west to the Halton area. Over time enough Indians replaced them to basically take over important roles like police officers and political positions. Eventually just like East Asians have Markham and parts of Scarborough, the south Asians had a high enough population for Brampton to be considered their home turf. Eventually though it was the student visas that drove Canadians crazy. Millions of students in record time and I believe there was an additional 4 million who came on temporary work visas during covid, eventually Canadians got annoyed. Personally I don't see any problem with it as long as we keep building apartments and homes for the new immigrants to rent and live it doesn't bother me. I would like to see three times more immigration especially from Europe as this country is super underpopulated and we need people to open factories and build companies that will strengthen Canada as a whole and employ our own not just send money back to their countries. So its not an invasion we just need come to a place of understanding and learn to work together. I will finish with the one negative; there truly is a massive lack of assimilation and this may prove to be more of a problem than we realize but I won't go into it. I know why an American youtuber is making this video it's all geopolitics. Listen , Canada wants to be an independent country, with a slogan like “Buy Canadian, Build Canadian.” For that, it needs talent from Europe and Asia as well. Canada must repeat what it did in the 1930's and the 1940's. Canada needs to bring 5 million immigrants from Eastern Europe, like Poland, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Bosnia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Macedonia etc. Just look at the Eastern Europeans in Canada, they and their Canadian born children and grandchildren have learned and speak English language fluently. In Canada, people speak English and French. The British and the French values must be upheld. God save the King.

Lot of people....the original citizens feel the burn since the world around them is changing. It's natural that they harbor these ill feelings. Most of them are ill informed and have these racist views. It's true for every immigrant community that emigrated from Europe as well. You have Irish immigrant towns, little Italy's, China towns, little India's, polish neighborhoods in Chicago etc ...these kind of neighborhoods are all over north America (USA & Canada). This is natural. Assimilation happens in 1 or 2 generations. Economic expansion and fulfilling social security benefits for the older generation needs population growth and a new younger workforce. This is achieved thru immigration of skilled labor force of all kinds. Population dynamics and demographics keep changing all the time and it has happened thru out human history. Now we are living in an interconnected and inter dependent world. It's better to adapt to change and move on and retain your loyalty to the country they migrated to and contribute positively to their economy and try to assimilate as much as possible and be aware of the sensitivities. This new immigration is from Asia and they are of different ethnicities and cultural background unlike european immigration that happened earlier. So some backlash to these new people's is to be expected and there will be lot of scapegoating and stereotypical epithets that will employed to demonize the new immigrant groups. We all have to adjust assimilate and move on in this great circle of life.

As an indian, I feel sad to see that this is Canada, nobody would want anyone's country to change like this. pls deport most of them, they can't even speak English. Only allow highly educated, skilled people; race doesn't matter, even that nurse guy should be deported. You've got it wrong, super wealthy Western countries like Canada, the USA, UK, Scandinavian Nordic countries, Europe, and even Australia don't 'need' immigrants from 3rd/4th world countries. Super wealthy Western countries first priority is to its own native population and country first by investing in them. The new 180 stance on immigration is proof that these super wealthy Western countries are moving forward with stricter immigration policies, a push for increased mass deportation, eliminating Visa/Green Card Holders for certain groups, going after scam related to immigration, rescinding citizenship and deporting non-native populations a lot easier. My husband and I were both immigrants to Canada, he from S. Africa, I from the UK. I never experienced any discrimination. My busband was diagnosed with late stage bone cancer at 31 years old. The medical care was so good that he lived another 6 mostly happy years. We were supported by the Ontario Health Care system with visiting nurses, even housekeepers and received every help we could possibly need, at no cost to us. I will always be grateful for the love and support we received from Canadian friends, employers and the medical professionals. What a country! I am in Europe now but feel strongly that Canada, the EU, Britain, the wonderful Ukrainians (I know quite a few refugees) and other countries of good will should work together for a better world. We are a family and families support each other in difficult times. Americans welcome when they are ready.

What's it about? It's about money. It's about a gangster family in the Whitehouse, and oligarchs in the administration, all trying to make as much money as possible. There's no other explanation possible. That's the only explanation that comes close to making any sense. Now more than ever, even if these tariffs are short-lived, Canada needs to move away from U.S. trade. This is necessary for the long term survival and prosperity of Canada. We need to make every effort to increase trade with the pacific rim, Europe and South America. There may be some short-term pain, but it has to happen. Canada has known for decades that we have put too many eggs in one basket - selling our resources primarily to the USA. We've had tariffs before and worked with them. Yet we still keep selling to the USA. This time is different. In conjunction with the tariffs, we have an American administration that is flat out insulting Canada. Saying we wouldn't exist economically if it wasn't for the USA. It's at a time when the USA won't promise not to use military force to annex land (Greenland) from a decades old ally. A time when clearly Putin is calling in his chips for whatever he has over Donald Trump. Canadians have had enough. We are directing our governments, provincial and federal, to finally, finally break from the north-south trade links. We need to establish stronger east-west trade links. The resources we have are wanted by many countries if the USA does not want them. It does mean much work within Canada. We need to get our AB-BC pipeline finished as well as the new sea terminal so we can ship our crude oil and natural gas to Japan and if need be, to China. We finally need to get out pipeline to the Atlantic coast finished so we can supply the UK and EU with our products. We need to double our rail capacity for shipping potash, uranium, rare minerals to Asia or Europe. Just as Trump hopes for a golden age of American companies coming home and building new plants in the USA, this will be a golden decade for Canada to create transportation corridors to get our resources to other buyers. America will have to look elsewhere for his raw materials. And we all know what that is - RUSSIA. They've already offered their rare minerals and crude oil. This is all clearly a well thought out scenario from the people working behind Trump to dismiss America's allies and trading partners - have us turn against the USA - as the excuse to open the door to Russian imports into the USA.

Trump is a horrible, horrible human. I am devastated over what he is doing. I've never once given Trump my vote and I'm not a lefty liberal. I knew if he was voted in he was going to cause world wide chaos. He has shown his character over and over and over...yet a large portion of American's just ignored it. This election wasn't about republicans or democrats or independents. This election was about humanity and global security. American's ignored the writing on the wall for their own singular wants/opinions. They stand with their Trump flags but only a few of them can actually explain any accurate information about his policy or legal issues and they condone his behavior. The majority of Trumpers claim to be 'Christians'. Christians voting for a man who is a bully, abuser, liar, predator, monger of power, impedes freedom of press and speech and aligns himself with a dictator. He pardoned violent offenders and called them patriotic, spouts false information, obstructs investigations, has numerous felony charges against him and has now made enemies with our allies. Shall I go on? That's not Christian. Even if you aren't Christian...that's not what America stands for. All for what...eggs? Guns? Cheaper groceries? Or because your need for hating a small group of people out weighs global peace. Europe has just announced an 800 billion Euro defence plan; I bet they’d be very interested in Canada’s critical minerals. Looking in from the out side I applaud Trudeau on his speech. But........ Canada needs the USA more than the USA needs Canada. Trump is who the United States elected by a majority. No games..... no fraud..... He IS THE Average large pickup driving, loud and rude American. He Is America and the rest of the world needs to take note.\n\n To be fair, in historical terms, the USA was created to be isolated and different than Europe. They went to War to become an independent country away from Europe. This whole idea that they follow Europe everywhere is only a small blip in history since WW2, they were never set up to be that.\n\n If Anything, the rest of the world should see there mistake in becoming so dependent on the USA. You should never put that much faith and trust in just one country.

People need to understand that the damage and fallout that will certainly come from all of the things that Donald Trump is doing is intentional. \nTrump's efforts to weaken NATO, destroying our relationships with our long-standing Western European allies, creating friction and distrust with our border countries of Canada and Mexico, taking a wrecking ball to all of our governmental institutions that hold this country together, sowing a lot of hatred and distrust among American citizens along racial and ethnic lines, using tariffs to destroy the American economy, efforts to cause Americans to lose trust in our courts, justice and Healthcare systems, trying to Villianize Zelensky of Ukraine while praising the dictator from Russia, is all part of a plan to weaken or maybe even destroy our country and to allow Russia to rise.\nIt is painfully obvious that Donald Trump is an agent for Vladimir Putin and Russia against the United States, Ukraine and the democracies of Europe. \nDonald Trump is a traitor! The Republicans in Congress need to do their jobs and remove him from office ASAP!

Compare the quality of the American political administration and those of Canada and Europe. On one hand you have blaming sleepy Joe, rambling lies, claims of greatness and demeaning allies and on the other coherent fact based arguments. \n\nAmerica, Trump is the kiss of death for your country. You need to get him out of office, along with many of the surrounding sycophants.

I think finally Canada realized that if they have friend like US then they don't need any enemy. You can't trust US at all and need to start open your market for global trade. I am glad that finally this happened cause sometimes you need a slap on face to wake up from a cozy bogus dream. Yes it will be painful few years for Canada but when time will come for fresh water and Arctic resources, it will be payback time to US. Forget US and start shipping products to Europe, China and India. Make pacts and create meaningful relationships and let US do whatever they feel like doing because ultimately Canada is the 2nd biggest landmass in the world, 3rd biggest supply of oil, 5th biggest supply of natural gas, 1st in the world for supply of potash and uranium, If you include Great lakes then it has 4 coasts that can tie them with water so great opportunity to create best ports, 1st in natural source of water and 5th biggest agricultral landmass. Then why bother and put your energy into someone who don't care. Let US do whatever they like and forget about them. Just don't go to US and don't deal with US.

Everyone is forgetting WHY the US has so many bases around the world. The US needed bases in Europe and Canada to easily react to the Cold War they started with Russia after WW2. After that, the US started wars in the Middle East and needed troops nearby on reserve.
