Thank you for showcasing this city. Brampton has long been the armpit of Peel Region, and the cause of many of the rest of our issues. The new entitled migrants that come here spill out into other areas of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) spreading the crime and loitering, and essentially "taking over" certain places and causing massive issues. Our Car insurance rates in Peel are insanely high, primarily because of Brampton also being a part of Peel, and the high accident and theft rates coming out of that city. We have a massive issue here in Canada with unchecked mass immigration, and we don't see do be doing anything about removing the people who have overstayed their welcome, aswell as an issue with letting the new population move only to the same already developed places, overpopulating those areas that never had the infrastructure to support those numbers of people. Especially the households that are housing more families than just their own, the people who arent citizens that are clogging up our healthcare systems, all the jobs taken up by the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, the lack of openings in universities and colleges because of international students. Its unbelievable how much they take advantage of the system.

I immigrated to Canada in 1981 because I married a Canadian I should say French Canadian girl and it was just a better place for her to continue on with her background. We relocated to Ottawa which is bilingual and made it very easy for both of us to assimilate together. I moved back to the USA in 2006 to help my sick brother and move back again to Canada in 2016. I came back for many reasons. The political Edge in the united states, the guns out of control, the increased crime rate daily, in just too many people everywhere. Now I was living in the Tampa Bay area and a lot of the people come from out of state and out of country especially in the winter to spend their cold months in the sunshine. Some things I miss in the United States comes usually down to the cost of living. Unless you get sick. And I miss living by the Gulf of Mexico. Except during hurricane season. I prefer living in Canada only because it's a slower easier paced social environment. It has nowhere near the political stress that the United States has where it can almost be violent. Actually, where it has been violent. Revisit January 6th. Out of control guns with hot-headed men mostly can force you out as well and back to Canada. Canada's social structure and environment supersedes the United States tenfold. And of course as we get older, Healthcare is a priority. I'm thankful there's a place like Canada close to where I was born or I can spend the rest of my life enjoying it as opposed to looking over my shoulder constantly. I also find that Canadians have a huge appreciation of warm months. So many people are outside even when they are eating at restaurants. Because of the warmer months are so short, Canadians really take advantage of enjoying it and those months are never taken for granted. Winters in Ontario, like here in Ottawa, can be very cold once January and February come around. But once you make it into the middle of march, you can almost smell spring in the air and somewhere on the way. But there are those dreaded 8 weeks of oh my God ?

As a current international student I can say I am happy for all this changes Canada is doing in the immigration system sadly it was taken advantage by too many indians and people from africa that came here with not the best intentions, I can confidently say if in my case is not possible to stay I will happily return to central america with good memories and good friendships and start working again. thats life

As a Canadian who was born here and the son of immigrants. I can say to you that the problem is with the Canadian government. It has lead to indians being taken advantage of by unsavoury people. And the situation is contributing to the housing crisis here in Canada although it's. not the only cause. The vast majority of Canadians do not blame the people coming here. We would take advantage of the opportunity to come here too if we were in the indian immigrants shoes as well. Keep in mind this is a country of immigrants. The vast majority of people came here or are descendent of people who came from somewhere else.

Citizens of Canada are immigration friendly like any other country, until multi generational citizens start seeing their cost of living increasing, neighbourhoods changing around them, belief systems changing around them etc. Canada is struggling as a result. Hey Igor, I feel your view is understandable but the issue I see is mostly in Ontario. There are many examples of people who seem to be from a particular community creating issues there, I have heard of persons who don't seem to understand how to communicate and making things difficult for other groups of people, coming to canada to work and slacking in their studies which is why they are in canada and also where people who are PR unable to get a job because only international students are getting hired. but I agree the government need to put better regulations in place to prevent people from being taken advantage of and hire people based on qualification and make the work place more diverse where possible with fair wages that are liveable as well as understand that they sold canada as the place to be for anyone to gain citizenship from the education stream

I'm an international student in Canada and have been here for almost six months. I had visited Canada since the 1980's on both coasts, mostly Quebec providence, Alberta and British Columbia. I loved Canada, sometimes more than the U.S., which is where I was from. However this lack of housing is a major problem for poor and lower middle class people - citizens and noncitizens. I bealive new immigrants needs to adopt Canadian Values and way of living. They see Canadá as we are so nice and stupid, taking advantage of public services. When you immigrate to a country you are curios and open to learn a new culture you are leaving your country because there is things that you don’t like and you see your self with the same values of other culture. Once you are in Canada you are evolving and adapting to new ideas, and methods of living, most important you are here to contribute to society and the economy by taking care of your self by working hard upgrading your skills, help others follow the rules. Not the opposite you don’t move to be taken care off by taking advantage of government programs, if you honestly and truly need the government help the program is there for you if not you have a moral responsibility to contribute to this country/ planet.

The Liberal party has turned Canada into sh*thole. Canada was built on immigrants but the system has been completely overloaded and taken advantage of. Refugees are being housed in hotels wracking up hundreds of millions in costs. And the international student loophole has been completely abused. Before Canada would allow highly skilled / educated immigrants to esteemed universities. Now we let in double the students and most of them are in diploma mills which they get out of and end up taking up every unskilled labour position, pushing thousands of Canadians to the street and making it to where kids can’t even get summer jobs. And letting in this massive increase of immigrants has only made our housing situation even worse. We’re building half the homes than people we’re allowing in. The whole thing is a sh*t show
