Im a Canadian and honestly I've NEVER had a problem finding a job, I don't even have my highschool... I think it has to do with *which* jobs they are applying for. I get that theres an "immigration" problem, the refusal to adapt and assimilate feels like a slap in the face especially when the same few will talk I'll of the same system they benefit from. HOWEVER I don't think it's good to lump all of these problems together and dump collective blame on immigrants. For 1, all this immigration and policies have happened under a liberal government and y'all voted then in, AGAIN. - clearly you're not THAT desperate for change. 2nd. Are the ones saying they can't find work willing to work in trades? General laborers making $25-$30+++ No experience required. Tradespeople are glad to teach people willing to work hard and learn.. What about warehouse work? Apply to your 5 closest warehouses, I guarantee youll get in 1.. ALSO the government IS willing to help Canadians get little certifications like forklift, smartserve, CPR.. Career colleges can help with training (e.g - computer) as well as soft skills. So yeah, I wonder if it's people being just as picky as they were when Canada wasn't in the economical shitter it is in rn? Maybe Im far luckier or fortunate than most? Maybe expectations are too high? Maybe some stubbornly refuse assistance they are entitled to? Im not sure, but I do sympathize/empathize with you guys, I hope you all can "get through". I pray we can find solutions to this insane cost of living / broken housing market / price gouging / tiny group of business owners having a complete market control and a monopoly on everything thing we need to survive - without competition, limitations or government regulation🫩. 7:00 I checked a tax calculator for Canada, $2710 is not a valid number for $21/hour for 40 hours a week anywhere in the country. The closest I got was $2708. Also, I would love to see a bill breakdown. "$9 for insurance" That is a bill... "I work 8 and a half hours a day" So... That means you work 42 hours a week.

From Texas, Trump is acting like a 5-year-old child. Canada has always been our closest ally; these tariffs are a slap in the face that will harm not only working class American, but it also spits on generations of close friendship and trust between our countries. They are punishing President Zelensky for absolutely no reason by stalling aid to Ukraine his people are being slaughtered and they want Ukraine to give up territory and that's not acceptable under any circumstances Trump is trying to force President Zelensky ?? into a deal with Russia ?? by stalling aid. So let's punish people in a country that has been destroyed even more to force them into a deal with Russia ?? that would require Ukraine to give up territory absolutely not! Ukraine must remain in tact and return to its former glory ?? the United States of America ?? can no longer be trusted especially if they attacked their closest allies and insulted us continually did WW1 and WW2 mean absolutely nothing to the U.S.?? when Iran ?? took American hostages Canadians ?? worked tirelessly to devise a plan to get them back to the U.S. and succeeded in doing Just that the Canadians brought back the Americans safely. When 9/11 happened and Canada ?? took on thousands of passengers in Gander Newfoundland Canada ?? we opened our airspace and landed each and every one of them safely then when Americans couldn't get their medication, Gander gave it to them free of charge when Americans went shopping for clothes the stores gave it to them free of charge everything they needed was provided free of charge they were fed housed offered compassion and opened their homes so Americans could shower and clean up. So Canadians has always been there for the U.S.?? and this is how Canada ?? is repaid for its sacrifices made during both wars and other historical events that involved both countries ????? So if the world ? sees the U.S. attacking it closest allie for no reason and insulting Canada ?? at every turn and spreading complete lies about Canadians saying we want to be the 51 St State! No Canadians want that I can tell you, not for anything or any amount of Gold or currency would Canadians want to be part of the U.S.?? we'll the world ? has seen the 2 faces of the United States ?? now and you can bet the confidence in all aspects in that country will plummet! The ?? can't be trusted anymore.

I find it particularly effective that Canada is focusing on red state America. Kentucky alcohol is just one example. Prime Minister Trudeau is also targeting those issues that they can most effectively respond, like electricity in the norther tier, LNG (shifting to EU). Trump is screwing over our closest and greatest allies, in deference to Putin, a war criminal.

What times we live in :D America becoming ally with Russia which leader putin is nothing else like Stalin or other soviet leaders. And America is becoming enemy not only with Europe but also with closest ally Canada :D What the hell is going on? China celebrating now. USA had veroius presidents good ones, bad ones, smart ones and dumb ones, but this one is no doubt the worst and dumbest one ever.

Canada is also our closest leech. By all rights you shouldnt even be an independent country. You're the second biggest country in the world, you have the 28th largest military. Your entire population is barely over that of california. You're economy is borderline pathetic, and your government is even worse. Kick this Trudeau clown to the curb and get a better PM. As far as im concerned any free nation that limits speech and rights the way canada does is simply not free. We would gladly take everyone west of Winnipeg and accept you into the USA. But Quebec and Ontario can piss right off.

This is something that could really help my industry if that 65,000 was raised. Everybody knows aviation is a tight industry, and with a massive labor shortage. The flight school I attend is half immigrants, mostly Japanese and Korean with a moderate minority of Europeans and Africans. The Asian students are for the most part wanting to stay in the US, despite not coming from poor nations. The opportunity for a pilot here is leagues above anywhere else bar Europe, but most will likely not even be able to maintain a work visa, let alone a green card. This also means (as pointed out) that leaving the country is hard, and they would only be allowed to fly domestic flights within the country (no flying to Canada). The issues that these highly qualified pilots could solve by being allowed to work in the US airline industry are inconceivable.\n\nIt took my mum (I was born British-American) took 9 years to become a US citizen, I was there for her first swearing in, and the UK is America’s closest ally. Imagine how difficult it is for immigrants not of such nationality.

I am an American born in NY, raised in VA. I also lived in Van Nuys for a year, also lived in Texas before my job industry moved me to Canada. \ni have been in Canada for 7yrs, been to Vancouver, Toronto and MTL and to be honest i like a lot of things in Canada like the health care differences and of course the lower insulin cost for my husband but i still want to go back home. If anything i would stay in Toronto because it's the closest similarity to home but where Aba and Preach live, in Montreal, it's literally been my nightmare. I feel like the tap water at least in my area has gotten worse over time. \nOne thing i feel like they didn't mention that I have to tell people from America to watch out for is the credit card vs debit card thing. \nI grew up only having debit cards because i didn't want to get into debt. when i came to Canada i continued getting a debit card and realized the hard way that not everything accepts debit cards and you NEED to also have a credit card to access certain things.\nbut overall i do feel much safer in Canada even though the crazy trump lovers are showing up here and there it's significantly less than i see when I'm back home.

Pretty good Adam I'd just mention a few of those things are...I don't want to say inaccurate but way more diverse. For instance French. Yes Quebec is the only French province BUT New Brunswick is the only Bilingual province and basically half and half. This is good for things like federal of provincial services because by law they must provide service in both languages but not so basically everywhere else. The problem with this is you can have an almost completely English town almost nobody speaks French and drive 15 minutes and be in a town where nobody speaks English. Research on this might be hard because a town with a French name may not have any French people in and vise versa. Also this problem is multiplied in the fact that if you Do want a French area we don't speak standard French or Quebecois but instead Le Chiac which is a difficult and confusing mix of old French and english (almost exactly like the Cajun dialect). Second part of this is that Montreal is easy to live in if you don't speak French and is so multicultural you are just apt to hear Swahili as French in public. Last part is be very careful where you move on the prairies as they have may isolated towns some that speak French also. Next is tipping I've never had to tip anyone for a haircut outside of the military and all other forms of tipping here on the east coast are purely optional and wait staff don't get upset if you don't leave a tip unless you were a jerk or left them extra work like making a big mess (I worked as cook for a while after I got out of the army and I rarely ever head staff complain) HOWEVER....tip a waitress well and she might accidentally give you 2 pieces of pie lol and tip a taxi driver well and he will not only get you the cheapest fare he will find ANYTHING you may need no questions asked. Lastly on the nice thing....we are nice for sure especially compared to our southern neighbours BUT there is a lot of passive aggressive nice that happens and this also varies greatly. For instance as a city boy of course you answered the way you did but a guy who have lived all over this country in big and small, French and English places who now has retired to a rural town I can say I find the cities quite snobby and the French and the English can be quite snobby to each other and where I live now if you asked a random stranger for 5$ chances are you would get it also driving down the road people you don't know will just wave at you as if you were the closest friends. Canada is certainly a weird place so many extremes and my advice to anyone wanting to move here is do your research and then visit and travel a bit if possible because even us Canadians can be surprised by thing or two across this gigantic country
