One thing i can and do respect about indians is that they will never be pushy with their religions. Sure you'll find some "bad apples" but rare. Then there are other countries, that are much more pushy with their religions. I have no respect for that. So there might be a lot of them, but they don't ruin it as per say. As long as they don't shit on the beach and use garbage cans and not sidewalks. I won't go to india an impose my belief or way of living. And i don't think they do that in canada either. But others do it. Sadly, by association of the religion, some will see them as the same people. Anyways we're in 2026, religions are stone age laws to scare people. Now we have actual laws that are based on being a decent person, not the winner or the best, or the only right way. No need for some boogeyman in the sky to scare you, 10 years in prison should be enough to make you behave like a decent human. Even 1 month is enough for me to not be some idiot. We had horses, now we have cars. We had gods, now we have laws. Simple evolution and progress. Well some countries didn't get that update apparently. And noooo, if i say one bad word about an ideology, not a race (yaaawn, human race, all the same) i will be hunted down. That should tell you everything about the situation. You don't like my ideas? There is a clear lie in that video. Nobody is in Limbo. Mind you there is normal Federal Express entry program still happening. Meaning, that if you get selected through that program, you can immigrate to any province of your choice - including Quebec. You can also still get bonus points for Canadian education (Quebec education does count) and Canadian work experience (if it qualifies). So the only thing that happened was, that one provincial nomination program was ended, that is all that happened. The practical problem is, that provincial nomination does give so many points, that it is a guarantee of normal express entry pull as long as you just meet criteria to enter Express entry. So provincial nominations are suitable for people that might be otherwise struggling with points (older age, less language perfection, les bonus points from education or work experience). For a disclaimer, provincial programs are based on a specific province needs and just because one was opened when you planned to go and study or work in Canada, it does not mean it will be like that forever. If an agent made you such promise, then he was misleading you. Again for those people demonstrating, nothing has changed for them other than one future option was gone. They still have their student or work permit until it expires. They also can apply into Express entry program as normal. On a side note for Canadian trying to cheer about this, be aware, such change can also mean that economy projection for next few years is not the best. so take it a warning sign. Or if we are lucky, it was found that this program was not bringing intended type of skilled worker or was heavily abused.

At this point we need to follow trumps footsteps to save Canada, some people might not agree with but I’d rather not let this country turn to India or some type of Muslim caliphate

I like you & your attitude about coming to Canada. I’m subscribing. I feel for the young girl looking for a job. There are tons of jobs on indeed in my city. I apply for both part & full time. I apply for at least 10-20 a day. I’m not getting calls for interviews. I’ve even applied twice to one job because I was not chosen but 2 weeks later the same position was back. I’m fortunate enough to not have to work. I have a husband that makes a very good salary that pays for all of the bills , groceries & vacations. Up until Covid collapsed my 2 franchises & I was sinking more money in than making it I had to sell one for 1/3 of what I paid for it & give the other away. I started a small business at home doing lash extensions. I have my regular clients. But if I want to save my own money it’s not sustainable or steady. I want to work because I enjoy leaving my home not to just go grocery shopping or visit family. That’s even if they are home from work. I like having a purpose. I’m skilled in accounting, cleaning, sales, marketing, customer service you name it. Many might say that I’m very lucky. I am very blessed but it’s also very lonely. Plus I have always worked & had independence. I hate asking my husband to send me money so I can pay my cell, credit card bills. I don’t even go shopping without him for new clothes because I rely on him to pay for those too. Hypothetically we broke up tomorrow I’d be screwed. I worry about if he dies. There’s life insurance but we still have a mortgage to pay & monthly bills. Plus of course I’d make sure his kids got some too. Not to mention I’ve had mental health struggles with social anxiety & agoraphobia years ago. The more I stay home the more I get anxious about going out. Days can get boring & then I find myself napping all afternoon. I need a job. I just want my own money. I don’t want to go to my husband every 3 months & ask him to send me 2000.00 to clear up my overdraft for one business day. I don’t even want to have to use it. Sorry for the rant but I feel that even when filing out applications many times I’m asked if I’m racialized. In other words is my skin brown.

As a Canadian, I am so sick and tired of being told that i have this bullshit nonsense, non-existent " white privilege," which is a load of shit. I am terrified for my little girl when it is time for her to get a job because my little girl and I are white, so we are put at the bottom of the list for being employed. And on top of that i am expected to bow down and not have a voice or an opinion about anything when it comes to immigrants and that because my daughter and i are white so we are automatically considered to be racists colonizers and forced to pay the price of something that happened long before i was even born and had nothing to do with just because the color of my skin . God gave us all our skin color and made us all . I had no say with being born with the color of my skin. Canadians of all colors and cultures are suffering so badly because we brought in so many immigrants who demand we change everything and pretty much bow down to them and told that we all have to change . Stop trying to change Canada and the Candian people . I refuse to bow down to anyone who tells me that i dont matter, and my opinion doesn't matter because of my skin color and because i am assumed to have bs white privilege. The only people i see having all of the privileges are the immigrants coming in trying to force us to bow down to them while starting protests to change Canada . I will fight against these immigrants who are trying to force Canada to change to their ways, which won't ever happen . If you want to change Canada to your way of life and culture, then just stay in your own damn country . We need to get rid of these protesting immigrants who do this crazy shit . It's pretty pathetic and sickening that Canada lost it's back bone and allowed angry immigrants to come in here and take over everything and try to change the country and laws and treat the Canadian people as if we are less than them which is sickening. As far as i am concerned, any immigrant that came here that are fighting and protesting against Canada to change Canada to how they want Canada to be while treating all Canadian people as second class citizens plus destroying the country and destroying nature while breaking laws and demanding that all Canadians give in to their demands need to be kicked out of Canada and never be allowed to return . It will be a cold day in hell before i bow down to any of them who try to destroy my country and tell me that i am white so i need to be silenced because i am white and a colonizer so i dont matter . And white people have a hard time finding work . My daughter is sick, and so am i, so when it takes 2 years to see a gynecologist or take 6 weeks to see a doctor, it is insane. This situation is so bad for all Canadians that we need to grow a pair of balls and take back Canada and stop sending our money to other countries and stop allowing immigrant terrorists destroying the Canadian people and Canada and it's nature . My Granparents, parents, settled the homestead in 1896 near Rossland BC. How it used to work, how things are supposed to work, is the Government serves the needs and demands of the people. The people don't serve the Government nor any Corporation or Public/Private Partnership. This means that the Government doesn't prevent people from doing what they do and they don't use force to extort the fruit of everyone's labor to the point of enslavement. In 1896 and throughout my Grandfather's life from 1902 to 1976, one would do for themselves if they weren't working for someone else. In other words, you found something needed be done, something the community around you required or was lacking, you opened shop and got after it. You can't work today because you require licensing for everything, you require permission for everything, everything is regulated. People have it in their minds that it's so much better today then it was then, that it's "safer". But it's not, that's a lie. My family, although never wealthy, ate good food, always had a roof over their heads, plenty of family around and always had something to do or at least could always find something to work at. Most importantly, they always had hope because they had freedom. No one has any hope anymore and the people coming here aren't just bringing their culture to overtake our culture, they are coming with anger. With envy, resentment and malice. My family didn't come here with those things, they came to Canada with hope and determination to integrate and prosper with freedom. The other side of my family fled Bolshevism when they left Russia and came here and that side had the exact same hope in freedom to work hard and prosper. Now all generational wealth, freedom, prosperity and hope is all but completely stolen. We don't need more regulations. We don't need more benefits. We don't need more Government. We need less, we need it all to go away because I know for a fact, you give people the freedom to go about their lives, the society or community they form, always tends towards peaceful, prosperous organization. You give people the freedom to build and produce and they'll get after it immediately and that opens the door for all other manner of trades and skills that just fill any hole in a community or society. And that's a fact about the organizational tendencies of human beings. There's nothing stopping us from providing for ourselves but a cartel Government in the business of extortion and human enslavement. They foment chaos and division in order to justify the revoking of more freedoms to enslave more people. People themselves, they look to get along, get to work, raise families and, as best they can, enjoy life. Once we start expecting a Government to take care of us we've institutionalized prisoners who have lost all human dignity. When you "buy in" to all the rhetoric of so called autonomy, ask yourself, how autonomous are you without a family? Just because you're alone in a box in a city, stacked one on top of the other, weighted down by a landslide of rules, collecting benefits from the Government, doesn't make you autonomous. People say, "no one can afford a family". Yet those coming in have large families and they seem to be making out just fine. It's the brainwashing of our culture that set us up. Over time we've convinced the proper way to do things is everyone to grow up and go their own way, leaving each other relying on benefits from the government in old age or illness or whatever calamity might strike in life. There's always something that comes along. With family you have human resource, a plethora of skills and you have your "insurance", free of extortion. Everything that comes from a government is conditional and sooner or later their conditions rule over our condition, even though it's our labor that provides for them. The answer isn't more benefits, as I've said. The answer is simply less government, so we can all get to the business of providing for ourselves and helping our communities prosper. We need to do this with family because alone, we are all isolated and powerless. No one stands alone and a house divided cannot stand.

Maybe it’s not too late if your government can figure out to modify some of the immigration laws that will give back the power, the benefit, and advantage to a natural born Canadian. 800 thousand foreigners coming in in the last three months? What’s with that? That’s so shocking. Looks like a legalized invasion/occupation. I’m like you, I was a legal immigrant from Asia in the late 70s retired now and love my great state of Indiana. My family has been here for almost 50 years fully acculturated to the values and culture of American life with my husband and two grown boys. This is my adopted beloved country now. I am everything that it is about. I still know how to speak my birth language only when I go home for vacation. If I remember right canada first house crises was in the 19’s something and back then they started making more houses to resolved this problem………………..,… And I am thinking that getting immigrants from only 1 country might not be good, because of countries, society mentality…………. One Example ; a-lot people in the USA are strong guns advocate, if Canada only get people from the US and because the majority of Americans love their guns, they may advocate to have more guns freedom in Canada and teach their children guns loving mentality. Most illegal migrants spend thousands of dollars to commit the crime (entering any sovereign country illegally is simply an invasion). If they dare to enter China or any of the Arab countries this way, then who knows, they would be in heaven or hell rather than back home. All the deportees should be arrested on reaching back home for invading a foreign sovereign country and tarnishing the images of hundreds of millions of citizens of their countries who enter the USA or any other developed democratic country to study at the best of the universities, and after completion of the courses, they are not only provided the best of the jobs but also citizenship or other legal status to stay put in the countries. But these people reach their desired destination after going through rigorous educational and other processes and after a thorough background check. But in the matter of illegal immigrants, how are the victimized countries supposed to know their backgrounds? How can one be sure if they are not hardcore criminals, terrorists, spies, or even trained soldiers of enemy countries? In such uncertainty, how can the invaded countries be sure that an incident or incidents of such a large magnitude might not take place that, in comparison, the incident of 9/11 would look like the small incident of bursting firecrackers?But on one election promise, the president is, unfortunately, taking a complete U-turn that those students who do the master's and other higher studies should be retained and provided legal status to stay in the country as their contributions are needed to give the country the perpetual cutting edge in the highly competitive world and keep the country's status as number one. These scholars are feeling cheated that by spending huge amounts of money and contributing to the research and development during the studies, they have not only been taken for a ride but also become the main target of the deportation campaign as their status is available with the government. On the other hand, millions of undocumented workers are comparatively safe, as tracing and deporting them is not an easily achievable task. Besides, millions of foreign citizens are given entry into the country on flimsy grounds, and many of them do not even ever go to elementary school. I think even God would not be able to make out what the fuck this country has become on this issue. Almost the same is the situation with most of the EU countries, the UK, Australia, and Canada.

Half of Canada’s military equipment is unserviceable and not combat ready. Think about that. They are 20 billion dollars short on their military spending, are one of 8 NATO countries that have missed their required 2% GDP spending on defense, and have no plan to achieve their responsibilities to defend themselves and their alliance. Canada and Mexico need to respond with force, not just proportionately. Trump is a bully and bullies only respond to other bullies. Meaning, to most of us , excepting the most left leaning socially progressive pockets and contexts , which even then wouldn’t be viewed that way to us just acceptable lol ?\n\nOur baseline/political middle in Canada is A LOT more left leaning than the baseline normal/political middle in the states. So while people tend to equate your democrats to our liberals or our NDP , and equate your republicans to our conservatives. It’s just not accurate. If you throw our span of parties and American span of parties on the SAME spectrum /polarity line. My parents were both born in the states and my older brother was born there but they moved up here when he was a baby. So nearly all my extended family lives down there and I’m a duelly. And my experiences discussing things with my cousins or visiting absolutely could be described as culture shock at times. The insane things that came out of my own cousins mouths when they hear our friends or partners of various cultures , our not understanding how big a deal and incredibly insulting apparently it is to have assumed someone American was lgbt lol the list goes on. Like I don’t think our most intolerant Pockets can hold a flame to even ur closet to middle a bit intolerant places and contexts in America. I do think it's worth pointing out that the cheap labour reduces incentives for companies to invest in increasing productivity. I think the high real estate costs might be a problem too - too much of Canada's available capital is going towards expanding housing supply and not enough on better technology - software, equipment, etc. I think part of the stagnant productivity has been due to lack of investment in technology, rather than laziness of workers. It's also worth pointing out that a lot of the workforce has been in government, which has been spending more and more money while not having much to show for it, so productivity in the government is another issue too. Bureaucracy and red tape can also be detrimental to productivity in both governments and the private sector. Maybe Canada needs more competitiveness (ex with telecommunications). Lack of training could be an other obstacle to productivity, or for example... not speaking English properly. Sometimes when I get customer service with an Indian, I have to make him repeat 5 times because of his extremely thick accent. He might not be lazy and trying his best, but still not very productive. \n\nWith slavery in the US, the South has been rather inefficient with their labour because slaves were relatively cheap (still had to feed and house them). Low skill and low wage might have been ok when costs were low - low food prices, low energy prices, low housing and rental costs, etc. Now that everything is incredibly expensive, Canada is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either wages will go up (which have been fairly stagnant for the last 30-40 years) so that it goes above and beyond inflation, OR you will not be able to bring in low skill, low wage labor. Simply put, when rents are $3000 a month in Toronto, minimum wage of $15/hr is $2500/mth (before taxes). Add another $1000/mth for food, and $500/mth for other expeditures - and you can see that just to survive - a person in Toronto needs a minimum of $4500/mth to not be on the streets. And this is IFF they are not married and have kids which can easily drive expenses to $6000/mth\n\nSo... for someone to just live normally, they need a bare minimum of $30/hr for 2000hr/year - this is a salary of $60K before taxes!\n\nBut the median income in Canada is 35K to 40K (it's on your tax return which determines if you get extra help from the government).\n\nSo... with these prices - you will never get low wage workers here... period. You can't expect immigrants to work as slaves and then pull your country out of the mess you created by spending money on useless programs like a drunken sailor.\n\nCut costs, cut taxes, cut inflation (stop printing money), cut useless programs (ala DOGE in the US), allow housing to crash, diversify your economy, invest in start ups and entrepreneurs, increase salaries, scrap the carbon tax, etc. Notice - none of these have anything to do with immigration.

Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

However, I got almost free housing and obtained my PR. \n\nThen I got a better job. There are plenty of jobs in Alberta where employers provide accommodation almost for free or completely free. The job may not be the best, but you can save money quickly. That's what I did. I worked another year for a sewer company, completed my trucking school, and now I have my Class 1. \n\nSome companies even pay for your trucking school, but you have to sign a contract for 1 or 2 years. They might not pay much, but hey, you'll get your Class 1. \n\nYou need to read more forums and talk with more people. Don’t just sit and wait for a miracle.

I was in Canada for 1.5 months and I can say them much better than India. They have flaws but compared to India they are not that major. Human life matters there a lot more than in India. We as Indian expect they should behave like India so that we will get any thing and do things the we are doing in India but we forgetting one thing we are in there country we need to adopt our self according to there standers. They might lack sometime in medical but native people have much better Health than Indians because since childhood we are taking tablet for any sickness.

I’m also from Canada, everything stated is very true. Education is not that great as compared to what fees we pay, think again before coming. Job currently isn’t available. Part time is also hard. In part time, you will earn to complete your housing and accommodation allowance but will not able to collect for your college fees. Just count it yourself, $17.5 per hour is minimum wage and for 24 hours per week. Also minus taxes from it. If you are planning somewhere near Toronto or Vancouver, please stay way. You can try going New Brunswick either. It’s cheaper as compared.\n\nHowever, did you notice something about all the commonwealth countries, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, etc etc. they all are facing the same problem. So, hold on your horses. Research before going. People do go different countries, might be Japan, and other countries. Don’t ask a barber if I need a haircut, similar don’t ask a consultant if I can go to Canada or Australia. They will always say Yes!
