The real reason US put tariffs on Canada: \n\nCanada has zero nukes- so they have zero deterrence. The USA has 3,748 nukes. \nCanada has zero aircraft carriers. The USA has 11 nuclear aircraft carriers. The entire rest of the world has 16, but only one is nuclear. \nCanada has zero destroyers! The USA has 65 Top Tier destroyers. \nCanada has only 85 operational fighter jets, but they are outdated and scheduled to be replaced. The USA has 2,740 with 786 being the latest Gen. \nCanada has 82 Leopard 2 tanks and only some are third Gen. The US has 8,100 tanks and they are all third Gen. \n2.3 million Canadians own 12 million guns, but many are low caliber and low use/capable. Canadians privately hold about 2.3 Billion rounds of ammo, but most is smaller caliber hunting rounds. \n81 million Americans own about 400 Million guns with extensive capabilities and usability, including permitted full automatic. The storehouse of privately held ammo is massive in the range of 2 to 25 trillion rounds. \n40% of Americans are raised in a gun culture and develop and hone their weapon use skills for a lifetime. 22% of Canadians have a similar gun culture. \n \nCanada has gotten away with having a weak military and saving enormous costs by not having to produce or buy military equipment. \n\nThe USA has never charged a fee for providing deterrence to potential enemies, and in fact pays Canada on a massive trade deficit instead. Canada exacerbates their precarious situation, by continuing to take guns away from their population.

Every country should be responsible for their own goods. The day we start relying on other countries for what we need we're in a heck of a mess. Because China couldn't get our merchandise to our plant we had to shut down for almost a month. We messed up sending some of our work to China. After this we got everything in the US. Cheaper prices are not the solution. Cheaper labor is not the answer. Trump is concerned about the drugs coming into our country and since the borders are affected these drugs will be coming into our country many other ways. You know where criminals go to get out of the US. Canada. Trump is doing this for our country and you can bet on this. I'm sick of drugs in our country killing people everyday. I'm sick of guns but just about every household owns guns. Children are killed in their own homes with guns. Who cares about alcohol being sold in their state. Honestly. People are homeless because of addiction to alcohol. Yeah saying president Trump using fentanyl for this for this trade war was a bad move. President Trump is doing this for the drugs taking over this country.

The US gives $200 billion yearly to Canada. U.S. banks are not allowed to do business in Canada, but yet we allow their banks in the US...by the way LOOK IT UP. You liberals are what's wrong with both countries. Inflation is created by printing money with no concrete backing such as gold/oil, not tariffs. Will tariffs create short term inflation yes, will it stimulate jobs, spending absolutely yes. For those liberals who keep saying how intelligent this ? is...this is the same guy who disarmed his beloved citizens and gave the guns to Ukraine. For those who sympathize with this ?, move to Canada. I have no ill will towards Canadians except the cancerous liberals that allow idiots like Trudeau to take office. Look at the facts before you sympathize with a country that doesn't benefit us in EQUAL FAIR TRADE.

Trump is attempting to offset his tax cuts by implementing a tax that isn't called a tax. All of the money from the tariffs goes to the government. Trump has mentioned when tariffs were common as supporting what he is doing, but he doesn't add that at that time, there wasn't an income tax, so tariffs were how the government supported itself. Trump, knowing that tariffs are income for the government, is lying to his base so they will accept the increased prices as a necessary evil to battle the bad countries of Mexico and Canada. It will look like his tax breaks aren't hurting as much as they are and price increases will be the fault of the other countries.\n\nTrump is a conniving grifter with no knowledge of how to run a country's economy or international trade. He is gaslighting the American public to cover his own shortcomings.\n\nAlso, if fentanyl is entering the US, why is it the fault of the other countries? It is the job of the US to stop anything on its side of the border. Canada and Mexico do what they can to catch the drugs while inside their respective countries. The tons of cocaine and guns that enter Canada and Mexico from the US are caught by their border services; they don't blame the US for the products getting past their own border agents, and the US takes no responsibility for it making it across the border. Why is it other countries' fault for drugs getting past the US's border agents, but not the fault of the US that guns and drugs are going in the other direction? That is why countries work together, not fight over whose fault it is and try to punish each other.

Not sure why its surprising that Canadians are united against this trade war. We dont put up with this ? ?! The absolute gall of America to blame fentanyl on Canada, when it has been killing Canadians since 2016. Lets not even touch on the illegal guns imported in from the US. They certainly arent hopping on a plane from Mexico. Just wait for whats coming, as Our Allies are watching us and we are aligned with the world on our side ???

Fentanyl seizures going “into” the US from Canada is now so low is almost non-existent. Meanwhile Canada just seized 8.5 tonnes of cocaine going “from” the US into Canada just this week. Canada suffers way more illegal drugs and guns coming across the US border than the US has across the Canadian border. This is all the dumbest trade war declaration in history.

Indians have used Canada like a flop house. Indians go to diploma mills and try to use it as a backdoor to stay in Canada. They take over Canadian communities and try to turn them into India - making the locals feel like foreigners in their own home. They're also involved in a lot of crime. This includes: auto theft rings, synthetic ID/credit fraud, gun and drug smuggling, and one of the largest gold heists in Canadian history at Toronto Pearson airport. Americans have stated that the top nationality entering the US illegally from Canada is Indian. The drugs they are complaining about entering the US from Canada are almost entirely brought in by Indian truck drivers (Google it and find many examples). A Fentanyl super lab in BC capable of producing over 95 million lethal doses that was busted was run by an Indian. This is now threatening trade with our main trade partner as a trade war has just started. ENOUGH ALREADY! Indians need to be sent home, and banned from entering Canada.

I have spent quite a bit of time in USA and I always find my experience split. For the most part the people and places are great. As a filmmaker I have shot in NYC, California, Mississippi to name a few. The people were always accommodating and friendly. One time a gentlemen and his wife that allowed us to film in his property would bring us hot chocolate at night, then offered to shoot anyone who got in our way. I was also filming in the desert in 2009 and I almost got shot in the face by a group of police officers that charged in guns out and tempers raging, before realizing that we had film permits and were scheduled to be on site. Only to have the crew say that if I was black they would have shot first and asked questions later. As tensions rise between Canada and USA with Trump's trade war and attempt to ANNEX Canada I think I will do my filming in other parts of the world, if not in Canada. I have plenty of American friends and know a lot of Canadians that live in the US. I just hope things settle between our two nations soon. Where do you live? Being Canadian I dont stay awake all night worrying if the village idiot has a gun and will shoot me .I can have a pain and go to a hospital without worrying if I can pay for it .I get 3 weeks vacation every year which I hear does;nt happen in the USA .My kids can enter their school without having to go through a metal detector .And I dont have to be told I live in the greatest country on the planet because I have lived in a few other countries and I wouldnt trade Canada for any of them .

*Excuse you*, Canada is a BIGGER, better version of what the USA is trying to be. BIGGER. More land mass up here, and it's really nice when it's not snowing. Maine seems nice, but most places are too expensive or too crazy. TYVM but absolutely not. I wouldn't trade my multicultural society for the world. Aside from the fruit loop fanatics, the gun laws and mass shootings, the ridiculous health care system that can't seem to provide care to people who need it, there's so much more about the USA to dislike. The rich dominate your society. The poor can't afford a college education and rich alumni kids don't even have to pass their courses. Some of your laws, like what constitutes rape in New York, are based on archaic thinking. Some of my relatives aren't white, and I worry about them when I hear they're thinking of spending time in the US. Seriously, we Canadians watch your movies and dramas where the plot is driven by something that isn't even an issue up here, and we're just, head shake, nope, no, nope.

I am Canadian, I was born here in the 60's, I've travelled around the world, including the US but have always lived and worked in Canada. I love my country. saying that now....\nThe last 10 years for Canada has been the worst ever in history, our government has destroyed the foundation of what it means to be Canadian and has made this country look very bad on the world stage.\nEventually that will change. This currently gives reasons why a Canadian wants to move from Canada.\nYou are right about the US, there are places you can move to that offer quiet, country, safe living but like Canada, those places usually trade the good life for lack of opportunity.. the difference is most of Canada gives you the good life and opportunity in the same place. A good example, Billings Montana or Red Deer Alberta... if you compare the 2, they are close, but overall life in Red Deer would be better.\nCulture has changed thoughts too, I could never get used to seeing anyone other that law enforcement carrying a gun.. Oh Tyler. I've been watching your content for months now, and I do wish you would read and interact with your commenters because you would learn so much. I'll just comment on one fact. As a young, white, childless male, I doubt you would be affected by most of the reasons people who visit and know the US here in Canada would think of. Most of my friends are in the US and I livestream with them 5 nights a week, and every time a ma ss shooting is reported, we hear about it and suffer along with you too. \n\nFACT: The number ONE cause of death for children and teens in the US is Firearm related, so gun deaths. Yes it's true, and there isn't a single friend of mine who isn't scared to express an opinion, or send their kids and grandkids to school or Uni. wherever they live in the US. Statistically speaking, almost every citizen in the US is going to know someone who is un-alived by gun violence. We have strict gun laws here, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

First let me say that every country and I do mean every single one has their pluses and minuses Canada's major plus is the fact that crime is almost nonexistent as opposed to the United States where there is a mass murder every single day and a mass murder defined as four or more people killed in One Time by one person this does not even count where there is just two or three people killed at one time they're not included in the statistics the United States is out of control with violence guns you name it and I've lived here for 40 years I spent the first 20 years in Canada in my life was so perfect that I can't even dream of a better life the problem with most people is they move to the larger cities Vancouver Toronto I grew up 40 miles outside of Montreal on the great Majestic St Lawrence River one of the truly great rivers in this world my parents had a summer home on the river and every summer it was water skiing fishing boating golfing swimming you name it growing up 40 miles outside of Montreal if you wanted The Nightlife of Montreal one of the great International cities in this world then you could just drive there in less than an hour and enjoy the great nightlife that is Montreal as someone who is French and Italian I loved the winters because ice hockey was my favorite sport and I played all the sports nothing even comes close to the speed skill and excitement of ice hockey it is like soccer on steroids they're only two cold months during the winter January and February and even then it's really enjoyable as long as the temperature stayed below 32° I was happy because that meant that they could make outdoor ice rinks and I could enjoy my favorite sport of ice hockey all winter long Outdoors as someone who's lived all over the United States over the last 40 years I wouldn't trade Canada for any place else the United States is full of scammers I've been in all kinds of businesses working for different companies and there's rarely a company that I didn't get cheated by and had to take to the labor board for justice and compensation I trust nobody the main thing here is stay away from the major cities of Vancouver and Toronto and you will be able to have a great life with affordable housing and if you're into the outdoors Sports Canada is the greatest and best secondly Canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world and so there are a lot of Natural Resources that Canada has that is wealth for the country that will filter down to the average person what people don't realize is it when you live I've lived in Southern United States and most places the summers are unbelievably excruciatingly suffocatingly miserably hot hot hot at least in the Colder Weather you just put on some great looking ski wear and you can be outdoors and not be bothered by the cold because you eventually a climatize yourself to it Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and has only a 35 million population there is a lot of room for growth and opportunity and in a safe safe environment to raise a family and at the end of the day that's what it's all about I wish I could say the same for the United States being safe but no it is not and Mexico is they have six out of the top 10 most dangerous cities in the world and Tijuana is the most dangerous city in the world with almost 2000 murders and the year is not over don't believe me just Google it the reality is that the drug cartels control everything in Mexico and the police and politicians are afraid because the cartels are so ruthless there is way too much money to be made in selling drugs and the cartels will stop at nothing to make sure they get their money by the way most of my family still lives in Canada and are doing extremely well for themselves and I am the only fool that moved to the US
