As a indian my self i found saying "proud canadian " from a indian is really weird cringy they are not even inviting you and all of they just tryn hard to associate with them either make india better or live here there is no need to move out HIndus are already started birthcontrols being aware is just all we need thats it i think whites or native people are right because no one likes sudden changes !! I am also capable of moving out but i will not i think i can do something better here i can make my community better . Indians also have this some kind of invisible competetion between there extended fam. or neighbourhood which is the one of the shittiest reason of indian leaving india they think washing dishes is better then a business or farmer here . I know we have multiple problems but leaving them would not give any solution to them ,we are actually growing it takes time to be like any europian country but im sure we should not have to like them we can be better in our own we are not in a race of living better all we have to do is making our living standards better Rule No 1 Never make more than 2 children Dont do something uncivilied thing in front of them We are really good in cleaning our houses but focus on streets too( ofc this is not for all many of us are actually doing this) Dont give shit about politics too much your control should be in your hands Practice religion very well , Dont cutt off from roots Dont beileve in pathetic rituals Rivers are water sources respecting them means keep them clean as possible thats all Work on esthetics of your streets try to make your house lil similar to all and dont think of job either you can make jobs THATS ALL. As a Canadian my personal politics may not always be in line with other citizens of the world, however I can respectfully agree to disagree, allowing more dialogue and discussion to continue in order to reach an agreeable compromise to find the best winning formula for all concerned. \nI have watched and listened to many American politicians from John F Kennedy to Joe Bidden, to leaders like Marin Luther King, Malcolm X, Bernie Saunders, all have something in common, respect, decorum, world knowledge, integrity, truth, honesty, honour, and heart. \nStrength is when you are able to reach out to lift someone up not to knock them down. Even the greatest professional boxers know the difference of being humble and kind when there advisory is in trouble. \nFor the first time in the history of your country you have a bully, narcissist and pathological liar, who is vulgar and unpolished as a man, father and as the President of your nation.\nI have seen our own Canadian leaders, make mistakes, stumble and fail, however they displayed grace and admitted to their shortcomings.\nI have never seen a world leader be obsessed with things such as plastic straws, pennies, flushing toilets, Hannibal Lecter, Arnold Palmer's manhood, a leader who's completely obsessed with selling souvenir and bubbles while his citizens are homeless, hungry, jobless, with runaway inflation so that something as simple as a dozen eggs are now a luxury item. \n\nYou have a president who spends millions of dollars so that he can play golf at one of his own properties, meanwhile his country is neglected. \nA brief look at his past record the pandemic under his watchful eye would have you drink bleach as a cure as many died and billionaires increased their combined wealth by trillions of dollars while the middle class and poor suffered. \nThe opioid crisis was settled under his watch which let Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family avoid jail time for committing the death and destruction of millions of lives in America. Yet Donald Trump is obsessed with the drug cartels in other countries yet he overlooks those terrorist in his own country. Is it because they are billionaires and potential cronies of his?\nRather than be completely obsessed with tariffs and creating the next disaster with his Trump Gaza Holocaust Resort, Your leader could be looking at fixing the country's infrastructure of roads, brides, tunnels, ensuring a healthy supply of drinking water, rail, housing for the homeless, affordable health care, affordable education, etc.\n\nDonald Trump is surrounded by his clowns is not just making a mockery of your country but is leading you into a very dark hole. \nThe shame and humiliation that Donald Trump has brought to your country since his inauguration will take years to correct if he is stopped now. We Canadians may not agree with this trade war, but our bond with the Americans people runs deeper than politics. We've fought side by side in wars, stood together in times of crisis, and built friendships that no tariff can break. We may clash on trade, but never on our shared history, values, and respect for one another. Allies yesterday, today, and always. ??❤??

So being canadian means being white only ? All the Europeans that split tithe USA and some in canada because of their disagreements, that may be the culture of the first settlers yes. It's normal for people to bond together in the community and they all seem to feel more comfortable living ner their own ethic people. I appreciate the effort these two women are making to educate Canadians about their own country, but! I can see that their focus is strictly the Gen Z crowd, who really need educating, but not by a couple of foreigners who are just trying to make a living. Good for them. I admire your tenacity. But, ladies there are 10 provinces and 3 territories in Canada. Here's something you may not know...Canada is the second largest nation in land mass only after Russia...FYI!\nNow if you had lived in Canada for over 70 years; as some of us have; you would come to have realized that there is NO central Canadian culture. There are 13 different cultures and societies associated through a federation with a central government in Ottawa. Every province is unique in its politics, social programs, even cultural events. Not every province and territory celebrates the same holidays, memorials or statutory holidays.\nPeople in Newfoundland are as different from the rest of Canada as the Scots and Irish are in their homelands. Alberta has cowboys, BC has sailors, Saskatchewan has wheat and Manitoba has the Guess Who and mosquitos. Ontario is just arrogant, Quebec is just Quebec. There is NOTHING Canadian about Quebec. If they had it their way they would have been independent since the 1750s. They don't even like to speak English. They do it out of obligation to the federation. \nThe Maritimes are again, unique unto themselves. They could easily be an independent nation and then their true culture would shine. Why they practically speak a different language. They have been here longer than any of us and are in fact the most unique culture in all of Canada with the exception of one very important factor:\nThe First Nations of Canada. Their culture is as different from 'European' as Indian is from Chinese or Russian and Korean. \nAnd they have been here for thousands of years. Are. you addressing them as well in your broad stroke analysis of my great country?\nYou need to get to know this country from those who have been here long enough to educate YOU.\nWith all due respect I think you over reached your grasp of the situation. I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. I love the fact that you spoke some harsh truths here sir, much respect to you and your family sir. I hope you can continue making such informative videos for people to learn from. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. There is one other reason that hatred towards member of your country is going up and it is simply because our hatred for our own government is so high right now and we are all only human. Some of us lash out at people that do not deserve it when we are really upset. That doesn’t make it ok. But I know that the fact that we Canadians hate our government more than ever right now, is due to the simple fact that our own government is not listening to our issues and what we want done with our country. Then that same government will labels us as right wing extremists simply for the fact that we no longer support our current government for example. Canadians are more angry now than they have ever been. The RCMP have been advised about this across the whole of Canada, so you know it is a real issue. I can control myself and will never snap at others due to how frustrated I am, so I would like to apologize to those of you that may have a bad experience with another frustrated Canadian. This is really not our normal behaviour. We’re are all stressed out and being called the bad guys by our own government just exacerbates the whole issue. Again, cheers to you all!!!

See you are a respectful and good citizen who we would have no problem welcoming to Canada. It's the others who are ignorant and who do not respect our countries culture. If you plan to immigrate you must respect our culture and act as nice or nicer than the reputation us Canadians have. The reason we are upset with some Indians is they have no respect. Some of them throw their garbage everywhere on the streets on the beaches on our walkways. I get in India the culture there may allow you to throw garbage in the streets and lakes and rivers. We do not do that here. Either way something has to change the government needs to fix this problem they created. Also why did they allow so many Indians what about Immigrants from other countries? It seems like all they did was mass import people from India. They can hardly even speak English. No disrespect I am just saying from someone who was born in Canada and whose parents grandparents and great grandparents and beyond were all born in Canada how we feel the way our country is being disrespected. It does not make us happy. But let me stress that I know there are kind respectable people from India who come here and are helping Canada. It's the ones who are disrespectful and are not respecting OUR culture.

A portion of these students may not be enrolled in programs that lead to strong career prospects or that significantly benefit Canada’s economy in the long run. Additionally, issues have been raised about unruly behavior, including playing loud music and creating disturbances, which can affect the peace and quiet of local communities. This behavior isn’t limited to one group; individuals from various communities, including White Canadians, have sometimes contributed to these challenges. Moreover, some students and individuals have brought political issues from their home countries into Canada, leading to protests that disrupt the harmony here.\n\nWhile it’s important to address these concerns, we must do so in a way that promotes understanding and respects the contributions of all communities. Fostering unity is essential in celebrating the multicultural strength of Canada.

I’m an atheist Canadian. I dated muslims and people of different faiths and used to enjoy your videos… Therefore, respect and compassion goes both ways. You may not agree with the lgbtq community but it’s important for everyone to feel safe. People need to respect everyone but education is key. Everyone deserves to be educated about each other. That’s why I think religion and state should be separate. If you’re unhappy you can leave that’s fine. But there isn’t a perfect place in the world. Accepting others for their beliefs is just as important as others accepting ours. I wish you the best.

Absolutely not !!!\n However, corruption and mismanagement is eating 60-70 % of Canada's revenues\n As an Example : Canadian oil is giving away to American companies almost for free in return of of a royalty fee 3-5% , so, American sell our crude for $100 per barrel but Canada gets only $5 from this $100 , same thing is happening in our mining industries : Gold , Copper, Uranium. \nBecause, Canada DOES not have enough refineries to produce its gas it needs therefore, it has to buy it from USA at a market price !!!\n Canadian electricity is more worse, Qc sells its electricity To USA at 3cents per KWH\nthen Ontario buys it from USA at market price 50-75 cent per KWH\nCanadians are ripped off : for every Dollar the government gives to a special needs or welfare candidate, the government spend $10-$20 to manage this ONE Dollar, things are more worse with natives : the government spend $20 to $30 to manage each Dollar a native candidate gets !!!!!\n Probably !!!!!! Now , You know the reasons behind Canadian 's poverty symptoms including homelessness !!!!!

Are there different degrees of fairness in Canada and in the province of British Columbia?-Well, isn’t fairness or being fair referred to Justice, and if so, does this mean that the Canadian legal system does not respect individual rights of all people equally?-And, if Canadian legal system does not respect individual rights of all people equally, isn’t this a violation of section 15 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982 that guarantees, “ Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability”? \n Also, according to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (S.C. 2001, c. 27) \n3 (1) The objectives of this Act with respect to immigration are \n(e) to promote the successful integration of permanent residents into Canada, while recognizing that integration involves mutual obligations for new immigrants and Canadian society; \n(j) to work in cooperation with the provinces to secure better recognition of the foreign credentials of permanent residents and their more rapid integration into society. \n Consequently, if it is stated on the Website of the Government of British Columbia, “The B.C. government is making credential recognition for internationally trained professionals more transparent, efficient and fair.”, does this mean that the Government of British Columbia has been treating immigrants for more than 20 years in contradiction to s. 3 (1) (e)and (j) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and, if so, why? \n Also, if, the Government of British Columbia has been treating immigrants in contradiction to 3 (1) (e)and (j) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and in contradiction to section 15 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982, what about access of immigrants to the Court of Justice under section 24 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982 that guaranties, “Anyone whose rights or freedoms, as guaranteed by this Charter, have been infringed or denied may apply to a court of competent jurisdiction to obtain such remedy as the court considers appropriate and just in the circumstances.”? The question is whether there is access to justice for immigrants or for all people in Canada and in the province of British Columbia under section 24 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982 or not?

The Ghanaian girl is very cleaver, she understands the consequences of painting her country bad to foreigners so will always speak good about her country even though in her heart, she she may never go back to Ghana, she will not say such on video because she knows Canadian immigration might also just be watching this video. \nShe also make sure her country is respected by saying she is going back to help build it, in turn she gets respect. \nThe Nigerians on the other hand paint their country so bad, which then creates a horrible picture in most foreigners mind and support the western stereotype of the pitiful, helpless Africans, poor, dirty, starving, war-torn, uncivilised people, running away from corrupt politicians for the west to save them. \nThis is why Africa is not respected because of what her children say about her.

Canada just doesnt have as many people of colour willing to live in our cold climate.\nThere may be five families where i live and i only knew one family in my hometown of brantford ont. where we have huge native families.\nGrowing up half breed myself i have witnessed many racial prejudices.\nThe canadian propaganda wheel spews the company line 'dirty, lazy indian' , they don't even call us natives! \nThis is the respect we are denied at every turn.\nAfter buying $1,400 worth of items for my sons dorm room from walmart we were held and searched , after they embarassed us and held us for the police i was strip searched and given no apology for the false accusations

While racism is real, there are certain people from some religious dicatorships in Canada spying on the free people of this country and making people uncomfortable too. there are those who want to push their beliefs on all Canadians and there has to be a balance in terms of acceptance and inclusiveness. I find many times people also play the race or discrimination card to push their beliefs and ways of life on others while I have heard them for example swear at and judge Canadians for example who don't cover up their hair or wear mini skirts......that is also discrimination and judgement and is also 100% wrong, even though they may be doing it quietly or in their own language. There is sometimes (besides obvious cases of racism of course) that there are 2 sides to the story! People that come to Canada also need to respect its values of respect for all, not just ask for it for themselves. While a lot of wonderful people come here and have the utmost respect for Canada that is NOT the case with those pushing their beliefs and particularly religious views on the rest of Canadians making them feel like outsiders I have heard many stories about.

Psychology student here. In the interest of accurate information, I would like to point out some flaws I find with some of the studies in this documentary and question the conclusions reached. I understand that CBC Marketplace are not personality psychologists and therefore cannot be expected to produce the same quality of work as a scientist. However, I think it is worthwhile to think critically about the information in the media that we consume. I am also open to anyone who wants to engage in debating the contents of this documentary.\n\n\nThe following are some notes I took while watching the documentary outlining the individual hypotheses of the studies I think are flawed and descriptions of their respective accompanying errors. \n\n\nThere are three possible research questions, and thereby dependent variables, being answered by the apartment hunting studies.\n1. If there is no discrimination between the white man and the first-nations man, then they should get equal treatment, including quotes and availability, when apartment hunting. \na. Could the gender of the landlord be a confounding variable (perhaps men are more discriminatory than women)? \n \n2. If there is no discrimination between the white man and the first-nations man between Toronto, Montreal, Regina, and Victoria, then they should get equal treatment, including quotes and availability, when apartment hunting. \na. Could total apartments visited be a confounding variable? (4 in Toronto, 3 in Montreal, Regina, and Victoria) \nb. Could the gender of the landlord be a confounding variable (perhaps men are more discriminatory than women)? \nc. They only showed the black man apartment hunting in some of the trials. I am considering him out of the study for consistency purposes. The first-nations man is the only one who got unfair treatment in the footage of apartment hunting. \n \n3. Possible hypothesis: If male landlords/agents are more discriminatory than female landlords/agents, then the white man and the first-nations man will get different treatment at different Canadian apartments in equally diverse cities. \na. Don’t know all the information about the genders of the landlords/agents, not all the footage is shown, but the ones where they get ripped off are male. The others shown are female. The remaining interactions are not shown.\n\n\nThere are also some factors that may have influenced the racial bias survey and, in my estimation, rendered it scientifically unreliable.\n\n\n1. The bias survey and accompanying tests at the CBC attributed the differences between the studies to unconscious racism. What if it was just due to familiarity with certain racial groups over others? \na. The black participants had no bias between European-American and African Americans, supposedly indicating no racism, while the white and first-nations participants did, supposedly indicating racism. Is it possible that another interpretation of this result is that bias is a function of familiarity: that we are comfortable with the majority demographic in the geographical location we live in, as well as our own kind. Therefore, the black guys are less biased against black people due to being both black and living in a white majority demographic? \nb. The participants took the survey knowing the objectives of the researchers was to study racial discrimination. They might have influenced the answers they gave \nc. Whether the participants agreed with identity politics or not was a confounding factor that was not controlled . You can only be racially unbiased biased if you think that racial identity is a means of accurately viewing the world. People who do not believe in the existence of identity politics may answer the questions quite differently, which could be a different reason for the results.\nd. I took the study myself. The words that participants were required to match were a mix of adjectives and nouns. It is known within psychology that nouns have higher levels of imagery. This was not properly controlled and therefore is another confounding variable. \n \nAll the other studies looked fine to me. I welcome any discussion on my observations.
