No offence to the amazing Indian people, as a Canadian I find the majority very helpful and good for our country. However, things changed 2015- onwards- there are large scam companies now that bring unqualified people by taking money from them and creating fake student permits for them. The issue with that is that these people are OK with subpar living standards and offer their services for less than minimum wage and this creates a shadow/ cash-based economy where taxes go unreported and quality of life does not improve. This is not good for anyone- not the Canadians and older immigrants who lose jobs to these people and must pay higher taxes to maintain the infrastructure needed for a larger population. Not to mention how these new immigrants are a bit uncultured and almost like the "red-necks" of India- they throw garbage around, do not learn English, never make friendships with other races/ethnicities.

This is a horrible situation on both ends and the fact that its all 100% administration failure is sad. Its not fair to anyone not even the immigrants. They keep bringing in more people then the economy can afford to live here I frankly find it ridiculous. I want to know whats driving these policies to continue. My parents came to canada 25 years ago, they payed thousands of dollars to get status here. Now people are getting in as cheap labour that can't even afford to live here so they dogpile 10-15 people in the same 2-3 bedroom apartments or houses and the infrastructure is still being built on the logic of single families when in the reality thr opposite is happening we have sudden crowding because rent is unaffordable due to the massive influx of people, including canadian born nationals that are forced to live in these environments if they don't have support- Its crazy why not close your borders stabilize rebuild infrastructure then slowly work on immigration policies again when the housing market and job market are stable again. Theres absolutely no reason to cite labour shortages when theres an unemployment rate and homeless people everywhere- close the borders- get homes built, throw heavy incentives to join and get educated on any productive field that has a shortage upto and including providing shelter to canadian citizens that decide to pursue these fields and are homeless. Have a fast track rotating incentive down to the year along with guaranteed on job training for all occupations. Such a simple solution so stupid we can't execute it. Too busy squabbling liberal conservative baseline rhetoric that we made ourselves blind to the human cost in our own borders.

Throw these frauds out of the country, stop letting international students work, shut down fake truck permit schools. I have friends telling me stories of Indian Immigrants in small towns like Renfrew, Eaganville, Barrie, and other smaller places in between where there following and harrassing women in small towns. This category is precious, especially those studying in reputed colleges. Then there's the student who comes for post graduation studies, doesn't pay as much a undergrad but still a valuable resource. Then there's the diploma students who make studies as an excuse to get into the UberEATS, mcdo kind of Job market. Cap on them may be needed to protect Canadian interests. However the last category comes mainly from one province in India who has political clout in Canada, so it is the hardest to curb. Truth of the matter is, during Covid government and the people of Canada needed people to work as most Canadians were not ready to work and stayed home in fear. Now Canadians need those jobs and these students brought in with a selfish need are not needed anymore. What do we do? Throw them out - ain’t that smart ?

Very appropriate question you asked in the start itself. They have no right to be here. They came on the pretext of studying and now they say they have a right. What taxes are they talking about. All International Students are aware that they have to apply for Work Permit but it is not a legal binding on the Canadian Govt. to give one. What is India doing to its minority and what about International Students do they give the citizenship. Canadian Citizenship is not for Free throw the Garbage out they can't even communicate.

The problem I have with Indians is that they dont like Canadians, make no effort to learn the language and culture, are very rude, entitled and disrespectful towards anyone that dont look like them. Then why are you here in Canada? This is a very multicultural country, which is something they obviously knew before coming here. They treat us Canadians with such hatred, disdain and indifference, especially in the workplace. Indians are always playing the victim and throwing the race card around or just protesting around every corner, every damn week when something doesn't work in their favor. If you're that damn unhappy here in Canada, you're free to leave anytime. And many Indians in Managerial positions will only hire other Indians, even though a lot of them aren't quality for the job or their English is very poor. Canada has always been very excepting and tolerant towards different ethnicities, but that's because they've always put in the effort of getting to know and learning from us.

People who want to throw them out should know the Canadian school charge lots of money as tuition fees. These poor kids borrowed money or sold their property back home to come here. If you don’t want them don’t accept to the country, there are other nations happily accept them.
