Hate to say it, but bike guy is right. I work in a (genuinely) diverse area and African men are by far the worst customers. Incredibly condescending, interrupt me constantly, and if they have a wife/girlfriend with them, they're constantly berating her. I've found Indians are cheap but generally polite, the biggest problem is that there's just too damn many of them and they don't assimilate, so you become a stranger in your own hometown when they move in. I remember looking for a place to get takeout around my boyfriend's house and it was literally 90% Indian food, 10% pizza with butter chicken and tandoori toppings.

Of late, the quality of immigrants coming in from India is very poor, the young men look and sound arrogant and loud for some reason, and don’t give a damn about locals, or about cultural assimilation. On top of that, most suck at their jobs and are very indisciplined. I think you guys have stopped sending your best - might even be sending some of your worst. Grew up in Toronto, worked in HK for a couple decades and now back in Toronto. I've never felt this unsafe especially downtown, ever. I’m Indian and I will be damned if I say I agree with you. This shouldn’t be allowed. Follow the rules. This mob culture has to stop. I work my ass off and I can’t get by. My industry went on a strike for a year and I couldn’t get a survival job. These students can move from one province to another any time they want. How is this possible. Isn’t there any law to prevent them moving from the place they came to “study” in the first place and move to another location just for PR? I waited two years to get my police verification done from all the countries I worked before my immigration application got approved. These days it’s like the immigration ministry is handing over permanent residency like candies. More over if I go to a shop ask for help I get answers in a language I don’t speak or follow. Why are we allowing this? Why can’t these guys speak English or French? Why am forced to learn Punjabi? If these guys want to create a ghetto for themselves why are they doing it here? Who’s allowing all this? What’s happening to those English language tests? I don’t care if they fulfill any of those departments that require eligible workers. Why do we have to import truck drivers and factory workers? I’m fed up with this and I wonder why Canadians aren’t worried about their country and culture and react like they do. In my city (Windsor, Ontario) we have a college and university that have literally set up “recruitment” centres IN INDIA. I don’t blame the foreigners for coming here, they do it legally and honestly a bunch that I have talked to are struggling themselves.. I’m talking like, 12 guys to a small shared living space (which also negatively effects rent prices.. especially where I live) They expect to come here for a better life but they’re just thrown in the mix with those of us who are already drowning. \n\nThe government just stopped caring about its citizens and it’s really scary. They take the immigrants money and our taxes and they’re content.\nA friend was asked to leave a job fair because it was over capacity.. getting even a minimum wage job is damn near impossible now. \n\nAlso, question, I heard the reason that all minimum wage jobs (fast food restaurants, Walmart etc.) are only hiring Indians is because the government reimburses the employer half of their wage. I tried to do some research on this but couldn’t find anything.. is this true and being kept hush-hush? If it is, we need more people to speak out on this.
