Just went to Windsor to gamble at Caesars this weekend from Detroit and man I swear it’s only Indians. Felt like I was walking around Dearborn 😂

Three years to become a Canadian citizen what are we turning into a USA? I have many friends that live in Windsor and their wife is a nurse in Detroit and they had all their kids in Detroit and have dual citizen. Can’t do that no more.

It is interesting how much I've heard this from Canadians in recent years. Growing up in America's dull, dingy, squalid Rust Belt it was always a thrill to visit cities like Toronto and Montreal. The strip of water separating Windsor (itself not exactly Paris) from Detroit might be starkest line between two countries this side of the Korean Demilitarized Zone. But I was only ever a tourist in Canada and perhaps it's true about the grass always being greener. Best of luck in your new home.

Great reaction vid.. Love visiting the US, love living in Canada.. Been all over the States including Sandusky, Ohio.. lol.. Also lived 3 years in Windsor (Detroit border).. Differences are absolutely safety. Just gotta be more aware in the States, get your coke from a reputable dealer LMAO.. American's are always surprised a Canadian knows about their teams, NFL is big in Canada.. US has everything for certain, it's a big draw.. Have always had great interaction with American's.

I grew up in Windsor, across from Detroit. It’s entirely different city every 10 years now. The only people actually staying here have it rough, most pass through. Housing is insane, over population is insane, never owning a house is incredibly depressing. But what I miss most is the simple traditions. Like men actually being men, holding doors, saying hello to those you don’t want to. Being gentleman like always, showing respect, giving up seats for older women & children. Walking on the roadside & keeping family safe inside (simple traditional stuff) it’s all gone..

Desperate Nigerians who want to move out of Nigeria won't accept your advice...l lived in Canada for 3years (Windsor Ontario very close to the Ambassador Bridge, looking down the riverside Detroit) Basically, Canada is just a name...So many countries in Africa are better off.. First time that I watched your channel - and I commend your candor and your openness. I lived in Canada in the Niagara peninsula and the Greater Toronto Area from 1953 to 1989. Then in 1990, I had a job opportunity to work for a Michigan base company that allowed me much global business travel. I could have moved to Michigan with my wife and two sons however I decided that my residence would still be in Canada on the Windsor side of the Detroit river. I commute every working day across the border and I am glad that I did in fact remain a resident of Canada. I do have a green card still to this day in 2023 as I continue to work for the same company. I can tell you that the for the first few months in 1990, every time that I would cross the border to go back home, I felt a sense of ease and contentment to be back in Canada. I do like the USA but I prefer living in Canada.

I am a Canadian and I love the cheaper gas and groceries but I’d never live there. I’ve been in and out of hospitals had about 10 surgeries so far at 46 and I’m transgender I could never survive there. When I use to live in Windsor Ontario and lived across from Detroit I use to go over to buy groceries and gas but that enough for me. No offence to anyone it just wouldn’t work for me. I’m proud to be a Canadian and I live in Nova Scotia Canada and health care sucks in the sense waiting for things like surgeries and MRI takes a long time I know someone who waited 2 years for one but it is free and I would probably be dead if I had to pay for healthcare so I’ll stay here.

As an Immigrant who came to Canada Roxham road was the wrong way to come to Canada, It's about time to close that border. I came here to Canada in the 80s from the US, and I drove here in my car through the border In Detroit and Windsor.

I’m American and when I was a kid I went through a phase where I only wanted to watch Canadian shows. Degrassi, My Goldfish is Evil, 6Teen, Total Drama Island, Ed Edd n Eddy, Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, Big Comfy Couch, Life with Derek, etc. Whenever I would see that Canadian logo in the credits I’d get so excited. And I live in Metro Detroit so all the time I was making my parents drive me to Canada on weekends and we’d hang out in Windsor. For some reason I really liked to look at the milk that came in plastic bags? I was fully OBSESSED

I think those of us that live here in the states that are in states that are close to Canada are fortunate because we get the best of both worlds. I'm from Detroit and we visit regularly because it's right across the river. I've been to Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and use to visit Windsor often. We started going to Canada at a young age because it was legal to drink at 19 when we found that out we were there at least once a month back then. I've always enjoyed my time in Canada I'll be back there soon.

Fun fact: Detroit MI and Windsor ON border with each other yet Windsor is SOUTH of Detroit. How can this happen you ask? Go look at a map and you’ll see how.
