I love Punjabi people, they are high class and they surprise me when they tell me they were farmers before coming to canada because I don't get that rugged vibe from them. That guy at 2:50 was purhaps the most honest 'white' guy you will meet. The fact is Indians didn't take over, the upper class just decided to move north to Bolton or more west to the Halton area. Over time enough Indians replaced them to basically take over important roles like police officers and political positions. Eventually just like East Asians have Markham and parts of Scarborough, the south Asians had a high enough population for Brampton to be considered their home turf. Eventually though it was the student visas that drove Canadians crazy. Millions of students in record time and I believe there was an additional 4 million who came on temporary work visas during covid, eventually Canadians got annoyed. Personally I don't see any problem with it as long as we keep building apartments and homes for the new immigrants to rent and live it doesn't bother me. I would like to see three times more immigration especially from Europe as this country is super underpopulated and we need people to open factories and build companies that will strengthen Canada as a whole and employ our own not just send money back to their countries. So its not an invasion we just need come to a place of understanding and learn to work together. I will finish with the one negative; there truly is a massive lack of assimilation and this may prove to be more of a problem than we realize but I won't go into it. All these comments are correct. We are all sick and bloody tired of what is going on in once a beautiful country here in cal Gary Alberta Canada, especially the Northeast quadrant of the city. It is nothing but people from India. They're Punjab, people from Nigeria, Africa, and the Philippines, and in my experience. I am a blind, white single woman who owns my condo and a perfect parking spot for 8 years. I have bean horrifically harassed, buy these people. Because I would not bow down to their demands to give them my parking stall. They used the Calgary city police as weapons against me. Calling them and telling them I am a child molester, because I was Videoing in public videoing, taking evidence Of what is going on around here? Witches, my constitutional right? They called the cops telling them, I am a racist, a drug dealer, and a killer. They almost we're successful in having my nephew arrested telling the police that he hit their little cockroaches. With his car, the black cop that I invited into my home stupidly. Was Very hot and waning arrest both of us, but there was no damage on the car. No damage on their little cockroaches, no charges, but the black cop 2 hours later cold because he wanted my nephew's license plate number. He was probably trying to catch him driving dirty, but never called back. So he didn't find anything. These people have threatened to shoot me. They have threatened big consequences. They have threatened to slap the f out of me. They have threatened to pop the pimples out of my eyes. And when they found out that I was blind, that's when they ramped up the harassment, the cops did nothing about the threats towards me when they told the cops that we I threatened to kill them. They are the ones that threaten to chop my nephew and his dog up. The cops never did anything about their threats. They told me to stay in my unit for safety or move for my safety. The condo corporation refuses to do anything as well. So if anyone nose a good civil rights lawyer, please reply to me. Because I fear for my life, this is no joke and because I have to move. I will have a good case to sue the condo corporation as I feel unsafe. These people from these countries do not like people. With disabilities, they believe that we are a curse and that we are a waste of society.

That old lady is absolutely and outright lying. First off, she stood in lines for hour or days to get her green card? That means she came at a time when immigration was much easier and wanted, to increase gdp and to do the jobs normal Americans didn’t want to. Now, immigration takes forever, many years in fact, because the older republican white generation figured out that they yet again the minority, which has never actually changed. But republicans now use the immigration card because it’s literally their only option, why do you think Trump stopped the bill. He would be losing so much support. Also, for that old Mexican lady to say those things about her own family, tells me, she is not someone who cares for others or may even care at all. She became a racist just like the republicans and her family should be ashamed of her. Lastly, different times of immigration, this time around, those leaving other countries are trying to save their families lives, having to deal with authoritarian dictators, drug cartels and corrupt governments. She may have had some of that, but I doubt it, she just wanted to move here and make a better life for herself, screw her loved ones. She is an abomination and one of the reasons this country has lost itself, if a Mexican immigrant cannot feel sympathy or empathy for those people in a very similar situation than that person has truly been corrupted by the republicans “all about me” mantra.

As a Canadian, we want to leave! This isn’t the same country our parents and grandparents grew up in. As a hindi speaking Indian I.T. professional, I don't understand why Punjabis, Gujaratis, and Tamil Indians are always dying to move to Canada? I lived in Canada and didn't find Canada all that great. I'd say America is a far better country than Canada. I guess it's mostly blue collar immigrants who are desperate to move to Canada, live with 6+ adults and don't mind dealing with racist disrespectful Canadians. It's the Canadian governments who has been desperately bringing blue collar immigrants from all over the world for the past 30 years. It's not only Liberals. Cons brought 400K each year too. Canadian economy is dependent on housing and bringing immigrants. Canadian Colleges, unionized employees, and unions LOVE bringing International students from India so they can enjoy those luxury wages and benefits. @Harrison, there a bunch of holes in your story an thus superficial or lacking, yet has potential to be more Canadian in that you need to differentiate a bit more, attention in the details that you may have missed, votebank, Punjab province certain cluster of uncouth or gang type, instead of drawing in all religions and races and the best educated like how the US does with it, instead of a votebank cluster, that make up only 3% of the Indian population, yet 50% of Brampton, yet Canada is slower to do such. As I hope you know that, in that in Canada a city doesn’t usually choose newcomers directly factors of, ethnocentrism, pricing, etc are.  \n\nIt was or used to be that newcomers in many cases had to move to less populated centres i.e. in Saskatchewan/Manitoba etc, to help make the place more profitable and big as born Canadians usually didn’t want to move there. As your worst nightmare, me Canadian born Indian with a more Canadian accent than yours, yet I speak French yet am from the GTA. You should dig deeper instead of the old squeaky rhetoric repeating, you forget to mention Gurudwaras do have langar known as no charge meal, but you have potential to be known and yet ask people if they or why they are or aren’t willing to integrate. Any colour fair game, aside from asking Ukranian displaced on temporary refugee visa, not bc they are lacking melanin protection, but because their country is unsafe from aggression by a crazy. However, social programs are missing or drug users not willing to take up a program for various reasons. Maybe through proper fact checking, explain how India has over 200 ethnic and linguistic communities and why only one group is province, ethnic/attitude is prominent in Canada.  \n\nAlso do explain that there were many that were here in late 1800’s along with Chinese and Irish making railroads dragged over by British, the same British who invaded lands of established native nations people in Canada. Even tho most Canadians in the earlier years were mostly white, it was multicultural because they all came from many other countries and cultures. They still held on to their traditions but yet also formed a Canadian culture.\nTheir was a huge population of Chinese people too. They stuck together in large areas, many didn't speak english. Similar to Quebec maybe. They mostly spoke french and I remember a time when they didn't really like english speaking whites around. Seems like the premier would like it to stay that way. Protecting the culture. \nIn the 80's on the west coast I watched thousands of Sikh's and Punjabi's and similar move into large areas and take over many jobs in large companies. Lumber mills, rail yards, papermills and so on. I went to one job interview and outside the office window was a whole shift of people wearing turbans. Must have been 50 to a 100 of them. 3 years earlier when I toured that place in grade 12, it was all white people. What happened? That was around the time of the recession and jobs were getting scarce. The only people in line for job interviews were white people and the interviewers would not accept anyone without grade 12 and previous experience. Here is what I overheard as people were getting interviewed, Experience? No. NEXT. Experience? Yes. Graduate? No. NEXT!\nAfter 6 months of this I moved to oil country Alberta and Had 6 job call backs in the first day. At 2 to 3 times the pay I would have had in BC. Never looked back. But now that the industry has been attacked and the immigration has skyrocketed, Alberta is in decline.\nJust my 2 cents worth, and the people I mentioned back then, I have nothing against. You forgot to mention Trudeau and his Liberals as being the most repugnant part of our Nation. As for racism, we didn't ask to lose our National identity with his immigration policies. How many other countries have to deal with Whites or Blacks moving, and then being 1/4 of your population... Safe to say, you'd take issue, too, especially when the people Trudeau let in expect us to assimilate to THEIR culture... It doesn't work that way. Didn't watch the vid yet but the vibes are just completely dead. And as a white person, I just feel left out. It feels like its a city completely designated for international indian and middle eastern immigration. Politics are batshit crazy and far left as well. Truly don't know how I am surviving at this point. I think montreal was shown to be much more affordable and is arguably a better city. Might be the move for people if you want to stay in Canada.

Can someone pull up the population and other stats about Newtown CT for Tyler? Pretty sure a small town full of middle class (upper middle clas?) white people didn't help those kids. Being a SoCal native everything said about it was true. That last point was crazy true too and I experienced that personally too as I am Mexican but I am also Irish and I do not look Mexican at all so I was an outcast with Mexicans and with whites. It was crazy too how you had to grow up knowing things and dangers others didn’t know. I moved to Portland and it opened my eyes to how dangerous my home area was

One of the top issues is being black. Seen as black and identified as black when you leave a predominantly Black Country. \nWhen I watch the various Realestate shows of white people buying property abroad as second home or just packing up and moving. I always say it must be nice! Because the reality is they can see them self almost everywhere unless they choose to go into a remote area then that’s the only exception but even then as long they learn the language and respect the culture they are good they are liked welcomed and even seen as fascinating. Not saying they don’t have to struggle but the colour of their skin is the least! \nAmerica is great if your trying to be self made, be your own business owner, and other random ventures you want to dabble in. But to just go there and be a regular teacher, doctor, lawyer, engineer to the low and middle class you’ll end up with the same financial issues and struggles as a result. You gotta now cater to the rich and famous wealthy people but then it’s back to never being home and not enough time for family. \nThe reality is if we could make the money we make here in North America and Uk back home in in the Caribbean and specific countries in Africa it would be a dream come true and that goes for other communist countries too. You truly have to know what makes you happy. Make money but enjoy life it might mean living below your means even though you can can afford a bit better life style. People do it all the time back home (not because they want to I know) but for some reason when you move abroad a one bedroom for your single self is to small, the car under $24k isn’t good enough, you don’t want your kids to share a room so you need a bigger house and the list goes on and on. \nCanada is boring if your not in a major city with money to spend you know why? Because people forget the population of the entire country of Canada is only a 3rd, 4th, 10th of the population of certain countries that immigrants came from and in the case of the US population it’s 100x more than Canada. So of course there’s more opportunities there. \nAnd finally imagine if more countries didn’t need visas to travel? They really would just come to make money and go back home or live bicoastal. Even just the freedom of travel half of the immigrants would of settled elsewhere before the year was up or go back home.

I'm white, I've been followed in stores. I'm not stealing so I don't care. I rented a room to a woman from Iraq, she was nice but didn't speak english. She often left bits of tp where she sat, instead of womens pads I think. She moved 3 months later, she had stuffed cig butts under the plunger in her sink instead of the toilet. Immigrants had convinced her we overcharged and she moved in with them to her regret, but I wouldn't want her back. She was a needy pain. We have refugees in an apartment across the street, Many different plumbers the last few months, now all new tenants are white. I can understand why.

We moved from California to Louisiana. My brother's girlfriend constantly said my 3 year old daughter was always trying to act and sound white. She reads very well and that is her normal voice. I didn't even know how to respond to that comment.?

Before I moved to Brampton, I had no idea HOW MANY Indians actually lived here. I'm of south Asian descent but I grew up here as a Canadian. I still keep my culture but I'm Canadian FIRST. It's true too, some of them don't believe in deodorant, holy shit I literally had to tell a guy who sat beside me on the bus that he smelled. I know it was rude but if someone doesn't tell these people, they will think not wearing deodorant is normal. I miss the Canada I grew up in. My friends were mostly white but there was a nice mix of us: white, black, asian so we all got along. Today, everyone is in their own groups, strangers are the enemy, there is so much more segregation than there has ever been. Not long ago at a Tim Hortons I heard an Indian guy who was clearly new to the country telling his friend he didn't have to learn English because everyone in Brampton speaks Punjabi, it was insulting hearing that.....Listen up Indians and any immigrants coming here: BEFORE you come here, learn English, LEARN the customs and learn the CANADIAN WAY. You owe it to Canada, give something back before you start taking.
