The cops were literally telling people to keep there car keys near the door so the thiefs can take them with no altercation! I blame turdo and sean fraser! Fun fact, sean fraser was the immagration minister then got cabnet shuffled to housing minister during turdos terms, idk what he is now but i think hes still in cabnet. I try not to be racist but this failed experiment and just plain bad math/out of touch with reality cabinet ministers are litterally making people racist! Its too many, too fast, when there manipulating the housing market by red taping it so much nobody can get a shovel in the ground! The stupidity of the gov is insane! I am Canadian. Follow the money. Our Liberal Government is aware of the situation. They also have a 'catch and release program' when it comes to law breakers. Average house price in Canada is $700k. The bank only approves mortgage upto 4x times your income. So that is 75 * 4 = $300k mortgage. So you need to make a downpayment of $400k if you want to buy your own home. \nBy the way, the minimum wage job package is only $32k per year. \n\nCrime and Chaos:- Canada has a catch and release policy for repeated criminals. Let's say somebody stole you car and got caught, he will be released on bail in 10 mins. The crime rate has increased 20% in last 5 years. \n\nTaxes:- Average family(two person) earning $75k pays 29% income tax to Goverment for these above mentioned wonderful servies. Toronto is literally a drug infested crime ridden menace of a place. There are shootings every month. Public transit is so poorly planned. Homeless everywhere. Compared to America, being a disabled person in Canada is a dream. I lived in TO without a car for 5 years. You can't do that in the USA. Ever. Taxes are lower as there is an ancient infrastructure which is never updated (see Florida Condo meltdown, Texas power grid failure 2021). You spend hours in traffic as there is almost no public transportation. There are few or no environmental regulations so our country is beyond polluted. Rivers literally catch fire. Foreign companies bribe our officials (at least Canada has acknowledged this as a problem) so citizens can't get justice. Life expectancy in America fell sharply in 2020. It fell again in 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic certainly played a role, but that’s not the whole story. During this same time period, eight of the ten leading causes of death also increased. Even maternal and child and adolescent mortality increased. In August 2022, federal health officials released new data showing that across all demographic groups, Americans are dying younger. Welcome to the USA!
