It's so paradoxical that the indians back in India and abroad are projecting different outlooks about immigration and assimilation. I think it's absurd. In recent India, they look down upon immigration in India and complain about the lack of assimilation of immigrants to the diverse Indian culture. But abroad in another country as immigrants they want to protect their culture and do not want to assimilate to that country's culture or way of life. 😅 The comments about equality of humans, non discrimination etc made me laugh so much.. Being a proud Indian and living in NZ from a decade I can say it's not just the equality.\nThe amount of frauds we do in our visa application just to enter a foreign land, I can speak on behalf of NZ, makes it difficult for the next batch of applications coming from that region.\nI won't label that with racism because every country has the right to protect its borders. Yes I understand his point but at the end of the day they’re still not taking any in and they should you can always return them and you can still push for them to have their lands but I don’t think they have to stay the sacrificed to do that. Why African don't stay in their countries? Their countries are wealthy with resources in abundance. The western world benefit from the resources getting richer and richer. Are there different degrees of fairness in Canada and in the province of British Columbia?-Well, isn’t fairness or being fair referred to Justice, and if so, does this mean that the Canadian legal system does not respect individual rights of all people equally?-And, if Canadian legal system does not respect individual rights of all people equally, isn’t this a violation of section 15 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982 that guarantees, “ Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability”? \n Also, according to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (S.C. 2001, c. 27) \n3 (1) The objectives of this Act with respect to immigration are \n(e) to promote the successful integration of permanent residents into Canada, while recognizing that integration involves mutual obligations for new immigrants and Canadian society; \n(j) to work in cooperation with the provinces to secure better recognition of the foreign credentials of permanent residents and their more rapid integration into society. \n Consequently, if it is stated on the Website of the Government of British Columbia, “The B.C. government is making credential recognition for internationally trained professionals more transparent, efficient and fair.”, does this mean that the Government of British Columbia has been treating immigrants for more than 20 years in contradiction to s. 3 (1) (e)and (j) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and, if so, why? \n Also, if, the Government of British Columbia has been treating immigrants in contradiction to 3 (1) (e)and (j) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and in contradiction to section 15 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982, what about access of immigrants to the Court of Justice under section 24 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982 that guaranties, “Anyone whose rights or freedoms, as guaranteed by this Charter, have been infringed or denied may apply to a court of competent jurisdiction to obtain such remedy as the court considers appropriate and just in the circumstances.”? The question is whether there is access to justice for immigrants or for all people in Canada and in the province of British Columbia under section 24 (1) of Constitution Act, 1982 or not?

For all the amazing things the US has to offer, right now we don't even want to visit there, let alone move there. We've talked about it a lot, but nope. In Canada, generally speaking (although there are exceptions to every rule) we have no idea what political leaning our neighbors favor. Political campaigns last no more than 51 days; they do not start the day after the last election and go on for years. This way, elected officials actually do some work instead of campaigning. Right now, the politics in the US, as well as the judiciary, are literally insane. Gun violence in the US is insane, as is the attitude towards guns. It shouldn't take a shooting that affects you personally to make you care about it, and it's not just at schools. The US has had 28 mass killings, with 140 victims, in 6 months... but the problem is that no one down there cares about that enough to stop it, or even discuss ways to stop it. The politics is so sold out to corporations that what is good for the people just doesn't matter. It is capitalism run amok. Environmental protections? They are an inconvenience, and most of them were rolled back a few years ago under the presidency of He Who Must Not Be Named. So politics, elections, shootings... but wait. There's more. I have a wonderful friend in the US who has amazing health care, and yet when he got cancer, he was screwed. We do pay a health care premium up here, but it is a drop in the bucket compared to what people in the US pay for private insurance. Yes, you have the best hospitals in the world, but it doesn't matter if you can't afford to walk in the door. Now dump the intolerance -- racism, homophobia, religious zealots, misogyny (yes, I am talking women's rights, equal pay, access to health care, etc) -- throw in the crazies with guns, and now ask the question again. I absolutely know that Canada is not perfect, and that the tolerances and attitudes towards all these subjects differs from region to region, but overall we are a country that tries to respect the rights and needs of others, that has empathy for others, that wants to help others, and that is a pretty firm foundation to make us want to stay here. (please don't interpret this as all Americans and all areas of the US have no respect etc... but the predominant issues of health care, politics, religion, corporate greed, and violence, now all supported by a bat-crap crazy SCOTUS, sadly spills and taints it all. I know there are amazing, generous, kind people all over the US, but I don't know where the crazies are or where they might pop up).

I must be a well traveled, native NYer anomaly because I have the most diverse friend groups and whenever I travel to other places I see that is not the norm. Also living in NY, you literally could hop in a car, on the train/bus and visit 10 different “countries” of food in one day. And last but not least, many NY women are equally rough and soft. The rough only comes out if we are protecting ourselves from harassment or rats ?. Otherwise we are soft for the people we get to be soft for. ?

Telll themmmm ✅️✅️ it's people taking advantage of people each generation in Canada. You tell them what it is really like plus no law enforcement protection equal it's like entrapment in many ways easy targets, immigrants and the children with greater exposure to influences for distraction maybe terrible coping mechanisms. How Canada is able to achieve political control over the environments. Taking advantage indeed.

I had many international friends and clients appreciated my services. However, I realized that there was no equal opportunity for the basic public services or fair and equal protection under the law for me (cronyism among people with authority in the public services was bad). I could not see things were getting any better, and felt risky staying there. I was also getting sick of those fraudsters.. individuals and organizations .. just too many..

regardling the medical school part, if the lady you mentioned has medical back ground of 10 years it should be very easy for her to pass those 4 years, and there are ways to just challenge the exams out right, and skip the course all together. I've done it before with very simple courses in uni which I found were a waste of time and asked the professor if I could challenge this test out right, and i did and passed them. so I think if she has 10 years of solid medical background it would be a breeze for her, the law is there to protect the public, as not all experience is equal. 10 years maybe alot but if is not up to par with the standard in canada then it is considered unacceptable unforunately.

Shoplifting costs us all. Do the math and you will realize that common sense tells you as a owner of a store to protect your inventory. I would watch everybody equally.

Show your face. Security says masked is criminal and take action to protect yourself thus covered could equal dead. Wonder what we'll find hiding in many cases.
