Hey Canada/Trudeau if you don’t want the tariffs from President Trump then remove your limiting factors on American goods to equal the playing field! Maybe these tariffs and our President may finally get you to allow into Canada as much as we do into the USA! Trying to play a game of tariff against President Trump will not do Canadians any good. This is part of the reason you won’t be the tyrant dictator you once enjoyed being. Not to mention the Canadian government should be doing a lot better on stopping the cartels and their POS fentanyl from coming into their country as well as across into the US!

Congratulations Mr. Trudeau, you finally sound like our Prime Minister should. Now start making this country self sufficient so we don't have to rely on anyone. No more selling off our Crown corporations our land and other businesses to foreign countries. Keep Canada Canadian and give jobs to born Canadians first. Stock pile our oil and gas for our use and lower the prices of these things so that transportation cost make things easier for business and personal enjoyment. Don't tax the farmer so that they can supply food to everyone cheaper. We should not be struggling in this country which has all the natural resources . The unnatural population growth has put a strain on the whole system and in some cases put us in danger too. The crime rate has increased in large part to your lax immigration system. All the businesses increased the prices of everything due to this unnatural population growth. Supply and demand is not working the way it is supposed to anymore. In a normal household we make plans and prepare for changes. You just said ok, let's bring people here and forgot about the preparations. Infrastructure first man. If your going to bring half a million people over here, build the houses first bro. Nobody in Canada should be homeless which is another result of poor preparation. The housing prices and everything else went through the roof in large part due to the unnatural population growth. Anyway, think first before you act just like in a private home. Please stay away from Canada I moved here and I regret it every day. I'm a citizen through my parents and getting my certificate took YEARS which stopped me from being able to go to school or work which means years of my adult life wasted that could have been put to much better use for something that wasn't even my fault. I also lost good opportunities too because of it!!!! Not happy especially since I genuinely needed the money. I won't forgive Canada for that. Also everything here is really expensive and the selection is just not very good. Also work opportunities are not as good as in the US. Anyways I finally got my certificate and got my life started up again just over 2 years ago, but I still often think of returning to the US after just being here for 4.5 years. I now warn some of my US friends not to go to Canada just for the hype if they mention it. I also know of a friend who moved here and left after 1 year, they came to hate it here.

In Canada it would have been free of cost. What they did teach me at the alcohol rehab center worked and I had quit drinking in 1990. But after in the early 2000's I started to drink again and after getting blood poison in 2003 I finally gave it up for good and now I have been sober for 21 years. Grass is always greener on the other side. US has more violent crime, school shootings, homeless, drugs, and inaccessible health care. US foreign policy and economic strength make it both a leader and a target in all kinds of conflicts, which damages the security and future outlook for an average person. European countries have their own issues, Asian countries their own (they have greater economic inequality and sexism, among other issues).\n\nI still consider Canada one of the best places to live. I have a good job and a good life here, I feel secure. Yes, there are things I don't like as well, that's why I earn in Canada and travel extensively to get the best of all countries.\n\nAnd finally, the reason real estate is so expensive in Canada is because of how many people want to live here. It's obvious – if Canada stopped being one of the top immigration destinations, real estate would stop growing in value so much.

I grew up in Toronto and love going back often because I get to visit the neighborhood and bump into old friends, the variety of food is fantastic, there is lots you can do with theatre. Beautiful parks, Center Island, CNE, pubs…I can go on and on. \nThe negativity about Toronto is one sided because some people might not have had a good experience or the timing wasn’t great post COVID. That happened all over the world. \nSo my final comment, visit Toronto, soak in the culture and different activities. ?

We have exactly the same problem here in the UK. Politicians talk tough on immigration but when they get in power and see the books, they open the borders.\n\nWhat do i mean by the books. Im talking of slowing down population growth which is unable to support paying pensions to old geezers...they have a change of heart. \n\nNobody likes immigration till when they are told that the pension purse dad and mom paid into when they were younger, is now no longer able to pay them after retirement. This is why politicians change direction when tbey finally get in power. Like Trudeau so will it be with Pierre. Like Rishi Sunak, so will it be with Keir Starmer. Like Joe Biden so will it be with a Trump. \n\nFor me i dont care who comes in. I just care that they work hard, be good neighbours, dont cause problems to those that they met here...and work hard to pay me my pension when i get old cos i paid into the purse thats supporting the old geezers now.\n\nIm British. Ive got a Canadian Visa that i dont need. I dont fancy visiting a place where access to healthcare is troublesome. \nAnd I love seeing my fellow Africans here cos Africans are hardworking people.

My family immigrated here in the 1950s out of war torn Europe for a better life. Things have changed so much since I was a kid in the 80s and 90s. Toronto was a safe city with a good vibe. Things were reasonably affordable. Trudeau didn't start a lot of the problems, but he massively accelerated them. Government is openly hostile to basically anyone who was born here. They sold out the country to wealthy foreigners. I make a decent income but I still can't afford a house. Taxes are killing me. My doctor is horrible, but I can't find a new one. Civil liberties went right out the window. The people are cold and sullen. Crime is getting bad. Life just feels like it gets a little worse every year. I've been mulling it over for a long time, but might finally be time to head south. There's got to be something better than this, because I'm getting older and life now just feels like going through the motions.

So many Canadians in the same situation — perhaps use your Canadian passport ? so many better places for you to be… find a nice job across the border in the US — it’s so easy to get a TN work Visa, or work tax free in the UAE, or build a nice career in Singapore. I had the same problem with Australia — it’s my home, and my heart will always fondly call it home forever. Australia is a big country with small job market, generally ignorant (but nice) people and limited economic diversity. One gets proper civic amenities only in either Melbourne or Sydney e.g., top notch medical care, a wide variety of groceries etc. Taxation is very high and although some people will tell you “we are well taken care of…” that is not true nowadays. The Australian Government’s policies over the last 40 years destroyed manufacturing, the economy, working conditions and inflated the property market. A reasonable 2-bedroom apartment in a Sydney suburb could cost you Au$2000-3000 in rent or Au$500,000+ to buy — and that goes higher as you get closer to downtown Sydney. The problem is that incomes are not high enough in Australia and housing quality is less than average overall for these ridiculous prices. Food, tolls and petrol cost a lot, although Sydney and Melbourne’s fresh food markets give you better prices than you’ll find in most other cities. My wife and I had a combined income of over Au$300,000/year while we lived there. We finally left Australia and moved to the US because even with our relatively high income we could only have an average house for around Au$1.8 million, we couldn’t fill up the tub and have a proper bath because of water restrictions, our kids would get an average schooling and their only dream in life would be to one day own a house. We didn’t want to live like that, so we wrapped up and left for good. The US is much better for skilled people — I don’t mean plumbers, tilers, roofers or landscapers, although life is good for them too. I’m sure someone will reply to this comment about the gun violence in the US. All I can say is that in the US we have the option to defend ourselves whereas in Australia we are expected to quietly die if someone kicks us in the head, stabs us or shoots us. Quality of life is good here in the US for me and my family. Fly free, mate!

Americans scared that their southern border is unsecure while their northern border is thousands of miles longer, unprotected and unmanned. Speaking as a Canadian you all should be scared in the USA. Now that Canada is on the downward trend due to no housing, no jobs, inflation and unsanctioned immigration, I can GUARANTEE that you will get a huge influx of illegal immigrants who hop the border. They get into Canada legally (since we accept anybody without backgroud checks) and once they discover how tough life is here they make a run for the USA. Canada was never their final destination just a pit stop before they head to America. Canada needs some serious help and legislation when it comes to this. Our infrastructure and culture are at a serious risk of being permanently damaged due to this. Our federal election is in October 2025 and even if we get a politcal party change I fear that nothing will ultimately change for the good.

Settled really well but since last few years we’ve noticed a lot of crime drugs and Canada became culturally insignificant place to live. Lately Khalistani movement have become more frequent on the streets. The schools are focusing more on LGBTQ and sex education and there is not much other education provided in the schools Finally we decided to move back to India after a lot of discussion with parents and friends and we moved back to India last June. After spending a month in India (Ahmedabad, Gujarat) I feel so secured for my family and kids.\n\nMe and my wife are pharmacists, we have witnessed heath care very closely. we’ve seen a lot of patients died due to not getting heart surgeries on time . Knee replacement has become almost impossible due to a long wait times and patients are badly suffering with pain. Some hospitals had to close down on weekends as no doctors are available, there are no enough beds so patients are being treated on hallways, The wait times in Emergency Departments is so long…\n\nYou should have talked about schools, education policies are not so good till 10th standard they are only focusing on arts, music, drawings, basic maths, sex and LGBTQ. The sex education is compulsory from 5th standard (It was optional before)

I’m an international student from China and I never worked here. My Indian classmates ruined our final project. Wearing slippers for presentations and even cannot finish a simple website, my roommates are Indians as well, and they are all good. But some students they’re not come here to study, just for work. But just keeping the balance between study and work, will make other students have bad experiences. I also want to get the PR here, but it depends on my abilities and other factors. I love country music, K-pop, and pop Jazz, I watched a documentary about Canada before I came, and I was a volunteer at the London Air Show, Comic Con, Food Bank and Ronald Macdonald House. In addition, I also help the Church group make posters and videos. You come here is to integrate local culture and accept the rules and order, you can keep your own identity a features. Don’t forget you are a foreigner, you are the guest now.

Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

We as a family of expats moved to Canada as our 3rd country, my wife and I have good paying jobs and Toronto is simply too expensive for us with two kids. We are now moving out of Canada to our 4th and final country. Toronto after the pandemic is too expensive for us. You don’t get much in return to what you spend and you will not be able to buy a home here!

I'm born in the UK to Serbian parents, but grown up in Norway so I've seen three different cultures in my life all at once. I always liked Canada for being diverse because then I wouldn't have to switch between being English, Serbian or Norwegian, I could be more me because I am basically multicultural. For years I've idealised Canada and it wasn't until just two weeks ago that I got to visit and see for myself what Canada is like. I was in Toronto and also in Vancouver visiting a family that moved there from the UK I hadn't seen since I was a kid. I loved the nature (Especially Vancouver my god!) and the people, but I learned about how extremely expensive housing in Canada is to the point that it would be hard to make ends meet just renting a place let alone buying a house. Also how immigration is out of control and those who do come to Canada are disproportionately from one country being India rather than many different, which is not good for maintaining diversity. This is something I saw having lived most of my two weeks in Mississauga just south of the airport.\n\nI hope you guys finally get someone better in the next election, because I have more hopes for Canada than I do for the UK. well I have to say that this video is yet another white man complaining how the country is when they sat and watched it happen over the past 20 years. BOO Hoo you're the minority now sucks don't it. Not being able to get hired white people homeless living in the streets and entire areas are being taken over by immigrants. WHAT TO HELL HAVE WHITE PEOPLE BEEN DOING FOR 20 YEARS!! I think instead of promoting division and board line hate why don't work with these communities and find out why they only hire their own. I think everyone is missing the point here. I Don’t support Israel’s retaliation, but I wondered why the Arab world has not taken in a single refugee. Poland didn’t condone Russia’s attack by taking in hundreds of thousands Ukrainian refugees. If Egypt, jordan, Quatar, to name the immediate Arab Neighbors would rally together to get the women and children out of harms way, surely the outcome would be better for these poor people. \n\nSadly this is not the case and it appears as though this conflict will never find a solution, as long as both parties are not able to set aside their millennia aged quarrel, acknowledge each other’s deep roots and belonging to the same land, and accept that they both come from the exact same bloodline. The exact same seed of a man named Abraham. Both parties need not to like or even tolerate each other, but they both need to respect each other’s right to co exist within that space. I’ve heard some disgusting vitriol from both sides, honestly. Both sides have and are behaving like animals. Infact animals are more civil, as their disputes are settled in a more humane manner, without the casualties within their communities. Yet, despite being created in God’s image with the ability of sophisticated communication, both sides are unable to get past their own hurt pride, at least for the sake of the innocent lives that have and continue to be lost on BOTH sides, to finally squash this matter once and for all.\n\nGrowing up I had a cousin . We both were the only Sons of our respective immediate families’, born to identical twin sisters, 3 months apart. From\nA young age everything was competition between us. Who ran faster, jumped higher, threw further. Every thing we did, and we spent a lot of time around each other, was constantly turned into a “who does it better”. This resulted in us usually throwing down as one of us, feeling like we may be on the losing end of any given task, would just get frustrated, and start soccer punching the other. And my cousin and I from the time were off the diary to the day we both matured, would THROW down. We would literally just start throwing punches at each other, it was honestly impressive how we both would manage to land equal amount of hits to look like literal bloody hell, and guess what, even those fights became competition as even our dads would throw money with the others pitching for their favourite. Fortunately, our moms, the only adults in the our community, looking back, people would just pick a side and watch as go at each other, than pull us off each other, would come stomping out of the house grab each one of us by our ears, gives us a good smack in the back our heads and sit us down, look each one of us straight in the eye, and say something like, “cut it out, you two are family, more brothers than cousins” they would demand that we both go hug it out, have a bath, if we managed to do that peacefully then we were allowed to partake in dessert that evening or allowed to stay up a little later watching tv, or whatever . My point with this overtly personal analogy is that both the Palestinian and the Israeli sides should be dragged off each there by their figurative ears pulled, sat down, scolded and reminded of their ancestrial ties to each other and to the very same land. \n\nBe honest with yourselves, some how amongst all this hate, vitriol, unnecessary death of innocent lives, are you, and those you rally with be truly ok with your opposing side coexisting harmoniously beside each other? If the answer to this question is no, the other side can not have any claim to this land and needs to be removed to god knows where, if not off the earth all together then it’s your people, not mine, that are doomed. We’ll still be chilling in North America, horrified at the unfolding events but chilling nonetheless. Although it somehow claims to not be doing so, the actions of Israel demonstrate a gruelling callousness towards Palestinian life or right to life, and the staunch calls of the constant pro Palestine protests, calling for the eradication of Israel, none absent of a deep, hate and disgust towards the Jewish people. Both are in need of serious internal reform. Honestly as a complete outsider, SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU. I don’t care who started it, or who said or did what, at this point it is imperil that this end immediately. And as an outsider, I think it’s is important that pressure be applied to both sides to put their weapons down. I don’t recall the last time anyone even mention the Israeli hostages, putting any pressure on Hamas to do the one thing that would definitely appease the Israelis. In the same breathe, Israel needs to be further pressured to stop being so trigger happy and lay off of it. \n\nI can only hope, I guess. Canada it's enough, the people and the poverty. The country itself, donations and church. Technology is the help. Waterworks, sewage treatment plant, energy, automatic work, even private. Be it with solar, magnetic field or hydrogen, motor or encoder. I really want to finally help our people in this world. Small country houses built and properly expanded do not have soup and at night they have to fight for survival on the streets again. The technology makes follow-up costs unnecessary but creates the opportunity to help in the long term. People also have dreams, even the poor ones. You just have to give everyone a fair chance in this whole commercial system. Help those who need it, they are from your own people or do you want to be just as hypocrites as the laws and systems themselves Humanity. Even technology and you can grow food yourself, also learn for others and continue to help others. Small gardens and notice that they are really being helped, new courage means hope and continue to help others, get involved in systems and pass on good knowledge. Whether drones or small robots, free energy and power. Don't help here and there. It is your own people that you are making to suffer and are making excuses and hypocrites of Jesus? Finally, really help yourself and, above all, yourself and the systems and keep your eyes open - all the technology you need is there and it's not expensive anymore. The excess production destroys the market but creates these unlimited possibilities to help poor people in systems. Canada has always been expensive. I moved here from Texas for my wife. This isn't the same Canada I moved to though. It's far worse. The job market is crap. It's difficult to get a job in your field. It's easy to get useless jobs that have no long term career opportunities. Real estate is atrocious. Ninety year mortgages? That's just crazy. I don't foresee owning a home in Canada. Rent has gotten so high we refuse to move. We need a bigger place, but we can't afford it. The healthcare is not good, and the wait times are ridiculous. I got better healthcare when I paid out of pocket, but under provincial insurance it's pretty bad. It also doesn't have full healthcare like the UK. At least paying for insurance in the States, everything was covered. Wages suck, benefits are generally bad or nonexistent. My wife is finally about ready to get the hell out.

The year is currently 2024 for..the birth of Jesus. So it is clear that the Land of Israel belonged to the Jews. There were no Palestinians, in fact until the British returned this name at the beginning of their occupation of the Land of Israel in 1917. This name Palestinians was forgotten and no one asked for the Land of Israel. Except the Jews of course. But knowing facts and really researching history requires energy, intelligence and inner truth that is much more than clicking on the screen and watching a short YouTube clip. It is best for people living in Gaza to get a plane ticket and start a good life in the various Arab countries, rich Sunni countries. Saudi Arabia, Gulf States. They will have a good life and they will have safe children on a land that they do not steal from a poor and persecuted people like Israel who finally got their home back. They have suffered enough, much more than any short and unnecessary suffering of a national invention for the purpose of enriching mafia heads and exploiting poor Muslims for this under the banner of Islam. This is exactly what Hamas and all terrorist organizations do. Hezbollah - drug dealers and the cancer of Lebanon. Hamas mafia and extortion of Gaza. Whoever manages to read all of this is a thinking person, so there is a chance that he will also be able to detect the lie. Who here dares to think?

My family came to Canada 5 years ago. The main reason was because my dad had been busy setting up a branch of his European company here for two years. He wanted to launch this new branch and then retire early. Canada as he knew it was a good option for him to do this. We even had a house long before we came to Canada. And we now live on the west coast of Canada. \n \nFor us, the transition to feeling at home here wasn't particularly difficult. We also had enough experience of what it was like to live in other countries. Canada actually turned out to be a very easy country to quickly settle in. \n \nI've heard that Canadians can be reserved, but my personal experience is completely different. \n \nNevertheless, I got to know fellow immigrants who didn't find it easy to get started in Canada. In my experience, they were not very or only rudimentarily informed about what to expect in Canada. Their expectations were very high and they failed because of the reality of everyday Canadian life. \n \nOthers had similar experiences, but they persevered and ultimately arrived in Canada. Some of my fellow students are international students who are also considering leaving the country because Canada doesn't offer what they were hoping for as a better life here. \n \nThe reasons are really too individual in nature to really generalize. I think there should be a lot more help given to people who are struggling with their fate in Canada, because there are enough programs that they could take advantage of but that they never hear about. \n \nUltimately, it may help if someone just listens to them and perhaps has some advice, no matter how vague it may be. Those who finally arrive in Canada after years of a long odyssey and find this country something like home are, in my opinion, those who never gave up.

Spot on. Moving to Canada was the worst mistake of my life. I wish that I could go back in time and get all the years and resources that I have invested into settling here... Canada has had a great PR internationally, and Canadians are too polite to complain, so I had to learn it on my own after moving. Good that the truth is finally coming out. Everything here is deteriorating FAST.

I had the opportunity to visit Toronto this past September. The trip began with Canada Air cancelling my flight, causing me to arrive at 1:30am the next day rather than 7pm the same day. Then couldn't get my cell phone to work although it works in every other country I've visited. Finally finding a hotel, it took me and my host (who is from Toronto) over half and hour to find the entrance because of the hotel's reconstruction and no signs. I had always thought of Canada as US-lite: all the good things without our problems. I quickly realized that it was like being in a third world country with flashy buildings. My hosts were looking for a way to get out as soon as possible.

1) Toronto is poor value. Getting housing of any kind (buying or renting) is stupidly expensive. And the quality you get for the price is lousy. Especially the newer builds, which are just thrown up as quickly as possible and sold to investors. Policy measures generally all seem to serve to just inflate the price of housing further. The occasional lip service given to affordability is amusing, but ultimately sad. There are lots of people who really do not want the housing bubble to pop. They will fight against it with all they have.\n\n2) It has become kind of boring. There is lots to do if you have money, but it’s harder to find entertainment on a budget. Even the free stuff like parks are filling up. Stuff like sporting events, eating out, going out is very costly across the board. Even the “cheaper” stuff is expensive. It seems like a lot of local culture is disappearing. Even the cool neighbourhoods are filling up with the same chains. I think the high commercial rent and bureaucracy is deflating a lot of would-be entrepreneurs. Most landowners seem to just be banking on cashing out their land for condos.\n\n3) Canada overall has a high cost of living compared to salaries. In the US you can find lower cost of living areas that still give you a real city experience. And in Europe you can be poor but still live a decent, if no frills, life. In Canada the basic necessities are all expensive. Phone bills, grocery bills, rent, insurance are through the roof. Domestic travel is expensive. And the dollar sucks if you want to travel abroad. Health care is free but good luck finding a family doctor or waiting 8 hours in the ER these days. It’s expensive to be poor, or even middle class.\n\n4) Most of the Greater Toronto Area, outside the core, is soulless suburbs with awful transit - very “American” except with worse traffic congestion. You will need a car, which is another huge cost. Row upon row of old cookie cutter suburbs with the same crappy houses. Good luck walking anywhere, and if you do you will need to walk down boring, treeless arterial roads with cars zooming past right beside you, and cross giant eight lane intersections that were never built for humans on foot. In a rainstorm or on a fall evening you have to be really careful not to be run over by aggressive drivers.\n\n5) It is hard to raise a family in an apartment here. You can do it but it’s not very easy, and also you are still kind of judged for it. Lots of young people are feeling stuck and are deferring or avoiding starting a family. Buying any type of house, even a basic townhouse, requires pledging your soul to a bank by taking a massive mortgage with eye watering debt in a volatile market. But few apartment buildings have the kind of sensible gentle density, the family unit sizes and the common amenities, like little courtyards with jungle gyms, that you might find in Europe. No one ever contemplated that anyone would ever desire to raise kids in an apartment. It’s just a cultural thing that has worked its way into how things are planned and designed.\n\n6) The transit system is ok by North American standards but awful by international standards. There are only two real subway lines, one stub line, one line that is permanently out of service after a derailment, and another line that was supposed to open a couple years ago but still has no date for opening. The subways go out of service frequently, sometimes for the dumbest reasons, and then it is a zoo of shuttle buses. The streetcars are nice but so slow. The buses are fine if you find yourself dreaming about riding a daily herky jerky rolling tin of sardines. They are building a lot of transit but it will take decades to get done.\n\n7) There is still a lot of cool multiculturalism and opportunities to experience different foods and cultures - one of the best things about Toronto. Increasingly though it seems to be losing the fun vibe of the 90s, when everyone celebrated each other’s backgrounds and was chill. It seems the immigration is not as broad based anymore and also people are importing a lot of their “old country” grievances here. The immigration system also kind of preys on people abroad by selling them a false fairy tale, so they end up dejected when they arrive and see how things really are.\n\n8) This one might be controversial but it’s kind of an ugly city. There’s nothing particularly of historical meaning or value. Some of the older neighbourhoods are kind of nice, but the last 25 years they have only built giant glass skyboxes, one after another. There aren’t the cool “missing middle” walkups like in NY, Chicago or Montreal (or even LA). There are very few buildings with much architectural character. Some of the buildings they deem “heritage” here are an embarrassment.\n\n9) For safety, honestly on this score I think Toronto is not bad. There are not too many real “ghettos” and it’s night and day compared to much of the US. With that said, there is more vagrancy and social issues these days, with tents and such. It’s very sad but the shelters are full, lots of homeless go into the libraries, parks and transit system. It does make it harder to enjoy these public amenities safely. It is nowhere close to Europe where you might let your kids run free around town. Canadian parents still helicopter their kids and the place again is not designed to really be safe for kids, in the same way as Europe.\n\n10) Finally, a bit of a double edged sword. Toronto had a lot of youthful energy - people coming here from all over. It is definitely not as sleepy as many parts of the world. With that said, it is becoming a bit of a transient place (minus the world class experiences like London or NY). If you are from elsewhere you might find it hard making and keeping friends. I’ve seen lots of people struggle because it’s is hard to build a strong social network. We have a very “shallow” culture here - people are extremely polite but not overly warm and hospitable. We treat one another kind of like neighbours - meaning we’d like to have a cordial, drama-free coexistence and otherwise kind of stick to ourselves.

Wehre do you want to go? To Europe where are uncontrolled asylum people comming without criminal record checks and sometimes without a passport and getting free monthly money from the governments. Where the payments for skilled worker are bad, and you have to deal with a unfriendly rude sociaty. Even higher taxes. I'm working here as a comercial plumber and im happy here. I had to beginn in the industry as welder because I had to learn english. After 3 years here I'm speaking good english. One thing waht is enjoying that I got permanent Residence last year in summer and we are waiting since may 2022 for or regularly childernbenefits payments. But the CRA are on the way to fix it now finally after many phone calls and sending the permanent Residenc cards 2 or 3 times in. Lots off them how are leaving couldn't make it.

Nice candid video Tyler. I have a good friend (a Jusey Gurl) who moved to Canada like 20ish years ago I think mainly because of an ex. I think she appreciates the health care as well with my talks with her over the years. She and I've been thinking this lately that Canadians have either changed or that Canadians are more friendly stereotype is going down .I think with more immigration, the cost of living and frozen pay and higher and higher taxes Canadians are increasing discouraged with politics and Canada in general. You noticed many of the woman mentioning health care and social programs as well? Police... We have a lot here as well maybe more so because of pay. The police are well looked after and paid well here. I think politics are getting more polar and more divisive here as well. The liberals have really really done a stellar job with two terms of sheer WEF CCP hogwash to destroy the country. Another general stereotype is that Americans are obnoxious and unpleasant isn't true as well. I'm in tourism and find most of the Yanks to be friendly and polite and GREAT TIPPERS. Ha many US servers don't like it when Canucks go over there because they're stingy. I think if everything works out without saying more, your country, like it or not , will ultimately start the big liberation finally of humanity hopefully for the better. You folks generally have a bigger love of freedom and you're ARMED. You have the mindset and the LEVERAGE to change the system. And we as Canadians are always looking and following the US why to the extent because things are a little different here I don't know... I await with hopeful yet bated breath with the big changes coming in the following years. Love, freedom and the pursuit of happiness good neighbors eh!

I’m a Kenyan American and this is my two cents….Moving abroad for better opportunities is actually not a bad idea but people need to understand that you need the right papers and an actual skill to make it….I’ve lived in Europe, America and the Middle East over the years, the hard pill to swallow is all this places will give you a job depending on the kind of passport you carry. I’ve had the same skill and the minute I got my naturalization and finally carry an American passport…there are job offers all over. My African peeps get yourself a good skill and become very good at it….that will get your foot through the door

We did not do the common mistake of coming as students.\n\nTo conclude, I am 100% convinced that Melbourne, Australia is anytime a better choice than Canada.\n\nOne more thing, I do have a full time permanent govt job here in Melbourne. \n\nOnce again, I don't see any problem here in Australia. This Canadian lived in Orange County CA for 10 years. I took my the 12 year old with me. I had been offered my dream job and was paid enough to have a good standard of living. However, I lived in an immigrant community to save money as I found many of the high schools were horrid compared to Canada. I had not realized the school to school inequality to be so extreme and my kid changed to independent study at home. So with a Canadian elememtary education, they graduated high school a year only while skipping no courses..\n\nMy kid had medical issues and even with good HMO insurance, we could never get a decent diagnosis until it had gotten so bad that their digestive system was so wrecked. I finally sent them back to Canada for the surgery that we could not get in the USA. It seemed the insurance companies kept getting in the way. And in one case a doctor went all religious on us. After 6 years of almost continuous pain they finally got relief for a decade until the prior damage came back to haunt them However, after a year of university ib Canada my kid went to a private university in the eastern USA. They have decided to remain in the USA and now in their mid 30s, they make really good money anf have top line medical insurance which pays for the ongoing care they need because of the damage caused by delays when a teenager. \n\nI found life in the suburbs of Orange County nice but the OC is not a good place to meet people. When after 10 years there, in 2010 I returned to Vancouver to care for my elderly mother. I had been living alone for 6 years by then and was offered the first job in Vancouver anything close to me dream job there. and I returned to Canada at age 59. I had been approved for a green card in 2008 but there was a 6 year wait for it to come through. But I noticed the racism in the USA start breaking out all over the place when Obama got elected. And it has gotten worse and worse every year. Especially with 45 enabling it so much. \n\nMy circle of friends in Southern California are mainly good people and not at all like what we call MAGA-hats now. Except one who thinks 45 was the greatest. Politically, the USA is on the path that Germany was on in 1933 and I fear for the US Democracy if the Orange One gets in again. Even my kid and their spouse have bug out plans to head to Canada just in case. This is why my kid, while having a green card has never taken US citizenship. Besides, being a Canadian has not affected things the two times they got security clearances \n\nWhile most Americans are good people, it seems that about 25% have gone just plain loco and care nothing about democracy. And appear to prefer the USA to be a totalitarian theocracy \n\nI was there long enough, paying the maximum FICA taxes for 10 years to get a small pension from Social Security and I have Medicare Part A. I can afford to buy parts B and D but I see no reason. I have even better coverage in Canada for way less cost. The USA has a nice warm climate in many places and I just loved that. But otherwise y'all have too many people who want to turn the place into an intolerant police state and to return the country to 1950s levels of intolerance, So in my retirement, I will stay here in Canada. Even though I could go and move in with my kid in the USA and get onto US Medicare.

my dad got deported on 2001 he was punished and he could not enter the country for 20 years so he stayed in mexico and now after 3 years of me tryng to get him a greencard and 15k spent on a lawyer finally got him in, and this people want to be here just like that? back in the day was different there was no social media mo smartphones anybody that came yo america had real struggles the lesst thing this people can do is learn english and come here by legal means cmon i now is not easy but people always want a quick fix for all their life problems. its all politics this country is going downhill very quickly and we need a good leader

As an immigrant to Canada who's built a successful business here, I do feel the urge to defend Canada when I see these sorts of videos.\n\nThings are hard right now - inflation is really crippling and I don't know how the housing prices are still holding up despite rising interest rates. I also agree the red tape is absolutely bonkers.\n\nThe country needs to develop more of a pro-business mentality. Everywhere I look, people are complaining about not having a good job but no one wants to put up their hand to start a business to create those jobs.\n\nBut, man, is it beautiful living in the Rocky Mountains. It's a peaceful, open-minded nation and the day I finally get my citizenship will be a very proud day for me.

I had aunts and uncles wait YEARS to finally get in LEGALLY. \n\nFirst they force their way in to Mexico, Mexico does nothing about it and now they want to force their way to ?? United States…. Each country has its own pros and cons and question is whether cons are balanced by pros. \nI remember when Austrian colleague come to Toronto for a 3 months for a scientific exchange. She was shocked, whereas I, being in my 5th year of my stay there, I no longer react but adapt to a situation. \n\nAs for doctors, I know foreign doctors who can't practice as is taking forever to get papers done. Some of them need to pass all exams from a medical school. \n\nYou reminded me how I was annoyed by tax not included in a price. In Poland price on a price tag is final, the same for the UK or Switzerland. \nSilent racism I will call it fake openness as it also touches white immigrants from Europe. The job market is sealed shut and glass door awaits. My Canadian, academic job experience was good enough for the UK and Switzerland/Liechtenstein. Funny fact, recently I got invitation to apply for a job in Canada as suddenly I am good enough. Of course no one ever invited me to the network so networking is not. Even funnier I was interviewed for a job but when I saw rent for 1 bedroom in Toronto I withdrawn my application.\n\n I was told old building in Switzerland are bad. Maybe. But after living in a carton wall studio in Toronto, now rent is above 2,000 CAN, I have very low expectations. Remember my shock when I saw quality of a buildings.

Life is good, you keep watching even the awful movies from your country, connect with the friends back home and read every news bit longing and comparing the life at home…that is the life we lived\n\nSuddenly, after my husband’s death, the light bulb finally turned on and moved to India to raise my son 6 years back. The impromptu play dates, relatives and friends dropping in, the casual conversations with the milkman, newspaper guy, the screaming noise when the kids are getting out of school, friends volunteering to take your kids for a weekend getaway… these little people connections are so important. \n\nWestern countries economically developed. But hungry for love and connection..

After over a year a little bit finally I was able to travel to Canada just this week. I damn ate 6 Poutine in 3 days lol . (Quebec Province) . I hope restrictions get smoother in near future. Like drop the PCR test if we are driving. But all good. Thank you Canada for giving us beautiful dish such Poutine <3 .
