Im not Canadian but I visited Canada twice specifically Montreal I saw how ugly and dirty indian neighborhoods are …the apartment I was staying at in 2019 there was only one Indian couple neighbors who both were very dirty but overall it was a decent place but past forward to 2025 the building got a lot more dirty because of other new Indian Neighbors u can’t even use the lifter because of the smell one of them brought his family from India and I think the dad peeid in the lifter and they brought bugs with them imagine how bad the situation was 🤮… also one them was literally walking barefoot with a weird disgusting towel he scared the shit out of me for a moment I felt so unsafe as a girl thank god I wasn’t alone otherwise I know he would’ve done something bad to me … I would never go back to that place ever again.. I spoke to Canadians who lived there they all had plans to move out to other areas they couldn’t stand them anymore like I went to asian and arabs / North Africans and sub Saharan Africans Jewish Mexican neighborhoods yeah they weren’t 100% clean but it’s clean nice smell and people aren’t loud like u see decent looking civilized people even tho some are very poor so it’s not about poverty

My cousin came to canada under a 1 year work visa,, shes white french woman.. Speaks 5 languages, has 3 degrees, ran a business in France.. she landed here 1 years ago,, had to spend 400$ to prove she speaks ENGLISH, (she speaks it fluently),, she paid taxes the moment she landed and got a job, bought a car, a small apartment. Everything Canadian,, not like these degenerate scum sucking immigrants. Had to spend another 500$ to extend her visa for another year.. Everything was going well. To be honest this is something all political party’s from across the spectrum agree with in Canada at the moment, we literally have no housing . We the Canadian Tax payer have been footing rbe bill to keeo these immigrants/ refugees in rather nice 3/4 Hotles for the last few years . I’m a farmer who lives in the county but the closest city to where I live is Windsor and for the last 4 ish year the Government was hosting them in Five Hotel's across the city . It got to the point where it was cheaper for the government to BUY the hotels then rent all the rooms , so that’s what they did … No I’m all for helping people but that is kinda pushing it don’t you think ? There are no jobs for them , no homes for them , etc . We have been in a trade war for the last 2 years with the two largest economies in the world and we need to focus our economic power on thous conflicts at the moment and if the world like it or not fighting that is out top priority and everything else comes second .Even with out that fact Our former government overloaded what our ability’s where capable of handling . We have a pretty advanced social care network but these new folks who have never payed a dime into it and are living off of it for years with the government having no real plan on how to deal with it is just to much , with our with out the economic conflict we are currently in . I walked into a house that I wanted to lease. It was of course rented by Indians and some were still living in there. The owner wanted almost $4k per month. The moment I stepped foot inside the house, the stench was so powerful that it nearly made me vomit. I initially thought it was just the entrance, it got progressively worse the further in I went. Bathrooms were unclean, there were stains all over the walls, rotten food around, dirty shoes and clothes thrown all around, damage to just about every corner inside of the house ... I walked out. The next day, I went to see another house on the other side of the city, thinking it's more on the outskirts and it looked slightly better on the outside, same exact situation and I was ironically asked if I was "Indian because I can get a discount on the rent", I walked out. The blatant racism and disrespect was nauseating. I was raised that it's not permissible to exit out of your house dirty let alone not cleaning up after yourself. I was raised to be fluent in both official languages. I'm not seeing any of these norms happening anymore... if anything, it's the complete opposite.

I came here 25 years ago from India. While growing up, I would go to the terrace of my home and turn the antenna to get Cbc at night. I am effing done with this immigration and the government. Steven Harper was the prime minister when I got my citizenship and it was the proudest moment of my life. I really hope Canadians wake up. i have a few bad experiences with east indians ( pls. note am not hating, just expressing my dissapointment.\n1) i went to Tim Horton with my 2 other friends and ordered coffe, we waited 5 minutes one of my friend got his coffee after 5 mins.\nmy other friend 8 mins. and already at this moment they're giving coffees from people who were behind us... which is east indians - 10 mins. i still didn't get my coffee and i asked them twice about my order and these people behind me were already enjoying their coffee...i finally got my coffee when my friends almost done with theirs.\nI barely go to Tim Hortons anymore.\n2) Domo gas station - i asked for premium and the served me regular gas ?\ni don't know if the're paying attention to their job or just intentionally doung it.

Alina, if you were born in Sovet Uninion (dismantled in 1991), you are at least 33 years old at the moment. You said that you begun travelling 15 years ago, so you were at least 18. With that, I can guess that you likely haven't got a college degree in a profession in demand. If you've got a proper education at McGill or UoT, your income would be in sx digits. You would likely have bought a house somewhere (not in Toronto or Van, let's say in Montreal) before covid, paying 2% interest rate, got married and have kids and a husband making six digits. As a landlord - I had this happen to me .\n$35k in unpaid rent which I never got back after the tenant moved out .\nI learnt that the tenant had done this to 2 other landlords prior .\nIt’s a shame - my house was priced fairly and was a brand new home . There was no reason to pay other than greed .\nI have since sold the home and moved on : it’s one less home for people who can’t afford to buy at the moment to rent .\nThis stupid system needs to be overhauled .

I have been in Canada for past 10 years. Life have changed a lot since then. Standard of living has come down. Rent and mortgages increased. Job lay offs. Higher grocery rates and everything have gone up. It’s so hard to survive here. I had a severe sprain in my knee and I could not walk at all. I got MRI appointment 1 year after I went to doctor. This was the worst thing I experienced. My daughter was born very micro premature, doctors took good care of her and she survived here in Canada. We paid 0 dollars. In India the treatment would have costed close to 1 crore or I can say there is no specialized treatments in India for such micro premature babies. I’m thankful to Canada in this case. I have seen best and worst. So I’m neutral here. But I strongly suggest students not to come to Canada at this moment. This country does not have enough jobs, no proper education, no standard of living now

We have to bring in hundreds of thousands of temporary foreign workers from Mexico just to be able to harvest. In the past, Canada allowed immigration from all over the world of people who were mostly poor, refugees, and those desperate for a new life. They worked all the time doing every kind of imaginable job in every kind of condition. They built this country with their perseverance and hard work. The immigrants today, are selected on a points-based system, and the idea behind this is that someone with two university degrees, or trained in a profession, even if they don't work in their field in Canada because they're all sorts of barriers to transferring your education, are not very likely to be criminals or antisocial types. Criminals or antisocial types. In other words, Canada has chosen to attract high quality candidates on the assumption that they would be less likely to become criminals, while they in turn, having been picked from the best in their society, arrive in Canada with very high expectations, and discover that actually they're going to have to work in all sorts of other kinds of jobs and will probably not work in their field, even though that's what got them the points to come to the country. The country. This is the brilliant system brought in by Stephen Harper's conservatives, which brings in people with high education, and allegedly high skills, especially high language skills, so the government doesn't have to pay for their language training, but it doesn't consider the fact that these are very often people with other choices, who are not willing to work in construction or farming or service or retail or all those kinds of things that we desperately need workers in. The reason why we can't build enough housing has nothing to do with local governments and property values. It has to do with lack of labor. This education system, for some unbeknowned reason, is absolutely terrible, and provides basically no skills, training or education for the vast majority of high school students such that when they graduate high school, their forced to go to university or college. Since they have absolutely no training. In most parts of the world you finish high school and you have a trade, or you have some skill to begin working, the kids here know nothing. Nothing. Other than emotional safety, intersectional language, and wokeism. On top of that, the government has brought in every kind of environmental restriction and regulation on account of incredibly loud, but actually small minority of enviro lunatics, who most of the time use these environmentalism as a cover precisely for protecting their high property values in very luxurious and special places around the country, and they oppose logging and all sorts of resource extraction under the guise of environmentalism. But it's actually to preserve their special privileged position often in some wilderness or island, where they might be the only one or a handful of families who got lucky to somehow own a property. Property and so they oppose everything on account of environmental reasons. But it's just to keep people out and preserve their own privileged place. This country also as most others suffers from the illness of dishonesty and lack of integrity brought about by a culture of marketers where nothing is the way it is said to be. Everything is a fine print. And we have gotten used to this as normal. We've gotten used to having credit cards, charges, 25% interest, we've gotten used to being ripped off constantly by all the corporations for everything, and nobody complains and they just borrow more and they just bottle it in and now it's finally coming out. Out. People are fed up of the enviral lunatics. They're fed up of people who complain and bitch one moment about the pipeline and then complain and bitch the next moment about the high cost of gasoline when the pipeline is temporarily shut down for servicing. I moved from small town British Columbia to Houston Texas about 32 years ago. Was very lucky to be able to live in several different states in those 32 years. In the beginning of 2023 I moved back up to Canada (temporarily) and I cannot wait to get back to United States. \n\nAlthough I love Canada, because it is my homeland, it is simply not anything close to what the United States is. While, both countries have their warts, the United States is, and always will be, simply better in measurable every way.\n\nWhen I hear somebody talk about the free healthcare in Canada, I remind them that there are no doctors available. I remind them how high their taxes are and how long of a wait there is to get any sort of operation. Yes, it’s more expensive than the United States, but for my dollar the care is better and I can get it quicker.\n\nDon’t even get me started about the economy up here, it’s ridiculous.\n\nCanadians are polite? I drive a car with US plates and I’ve been told to go back to where I came from more times than I can count. You might say I must be a jerk to have that got a response but I assure you. Yea, I went to Toronto and the last time i went to Toronto was probably in 2007 and trust me, a lot has changed. Same thing in NYC. I feel like too much immigration can cause chaos. You both make valid points about Canada. I am 2nd generation Canadian. I do feel like its expensive here and Even I have a hard time landing a job. (Recently got laid off from my career job, they said I didn't have enough experience to work there). My friends who aren't single and live with their partner, have an easier time living here compared to people who are single & living by themselves. \n\nNight life is boring here. However, daytime life specially in the summer is better. I feel like Canada is more for an outdoor person. Depending where you live, there are beaches, mountains, trails, & lakes to explore. Some parts of Canada even look tropical! We have hot springs here as well!\n\nFor the leisure & work life balance, I feel like that depends on the person. I used to work 2 jobs (not because I was bored or needed the money at the time), I just wanted to save more money & help my friend out with his business. I felt like I had good balance of work & leisure. I hanged out with my friends on Friday & Saturdays then I had my 'me' days on Sundays.\n\nIf you are going to move here, do your research, also I don't think people consider their countries dollar into the equation, what I mean is, if you want to convert your money to Canadian... you might have less money then you have. Example, at this moment, 1 Mexican Peso is 0.066 Canadian dollars, therefor people coming from Mexico might have a hard time afford things in Canada compared to a person who is moving from USA. I agree that it is boring, cold, expensive, high tax high services, I mean people didn’t work for a year and got paid plenty for nothing. Taxes are incremental based on income as they should be. Coming from a major Latin American city, you have no idea what it is to live under fear of assault or harm at any moment, having corrupt politicians, police, and people in general. You are privileged having been born here because it is much easier to make a living, with good laws, you should go to places where people drink on the streets and pee and shit everywhere. I’m sure there are better places in the world but you will never feel like at home, and each place will have it’s own difficulties. I don’t think we all need to live in the same place but don’t believe that you are able to move to any place in the world if you weren’t Canadian.

Totally agreed. I came back from Canada in 2019 because I was getting all kinds of panic attacks due to loneliness and I also have gained so much that I got into depression. It’s been 3 years now and I am still in India and now I have made my mind like the moment I start getting panic attacks I will either come to India or go to Australia and stay with my sister . Sadly I don’t believe in Canadian marriages as these are short lived marriages. So loneliness hits me even more but the better part is I am single so I have some options to escape from lonely life.

All I would like to highlight is the fact that some people will experience all these points as negative aspects or maybe even one or two that might lead to the breaking point.\nIt all depends on where you come from and how life was in your “home” country.\nYou might come from a higher tax environment with non existent healthcare and education. From that perspective, 40% taxes might look better and the healthcare might be great or crap depending on what your health issues are. I personally haven’t had any struggles with most of these aspects - finding a great job was relatively easier, (key word - relatively) the healthcare system worked for me when I needed it to, I was mentally prepared for the high taxes, I culturally adapted to the point where people thought I was Canadian and didn’t realize I came in from a very different environment. I’m sure this cultural adaptation helped me with my job and made it easier to live here.\nAll in all, you can say I’ve had the “perfect” immigrant experience that most people would dream of. But what do i think really? Personally, I have come to realize that Canada at the moment does not fit into my personal goals and values and that is okay. Loneliness away from people you love can be tough. It just isn’t the same feeling making new friends and hanging out with coworkers who are much older than you are and in a different place in life. I’m very close to my family and friends who I’ve grown up with and are on the other side of the world. My parents are getting older and I want to spend as much time with them as possible. For that reason, I might consider being somewhere closer to them. I’d perhaps consider coming back here some day when I’ve got my own family and kids which I currently don’t have. To me, that’s a personal value high on the list. I guess my only takeaway from this video and advise to people looking at each of these points - take each one and compare it with your home country. If you think you’re better off in Canada, then move - it’s a great place! If not, think about it real hard and weigh out the pros and cons.

You cannot defend the argument when someone says Women are suppressed in mulsim culture. The most hurtful thing happening is in UK. A country which gave you food, shelter, respect, a better life. You are trying to impose your values on it? As a matter of fact, good muslims should come out openly and boycott these terrorist who are trying to create chaos if they really want to show good intentions but you wont see any (for obvious reasons). They often cry about they being a victim but what about other people?? If all good muslim come out and boycott bad muslims then that would be a thing to appreciate and notice.
