Absolutely, embracing diversity and promoting equality are essential steps toward creating a more inclusive and harmonious society. Recognizing that everyone has unique backgrounds and perspectives can enrich our communities and foster understanding. Working together to build a better future for ourselves and generations to come is a shared responsibility that benefits us all. We cannot label people based on our perception. Everyone should earn an honest living and be kind to people around them. That is what makes us Canadian - the kind and polite.

Here's my life in canada. denied work. Denied education. both grandmothers, and grandfathers and before that mothers and fathers, defended and fought in the great wars, not by choice proxy and came to canada post ww1 to get away from euro trouble, only for second great war, and most were against forced to join because of direct proxy or relatives being killed. When you income is below hte poverty line, and you spending large amounts of time seekngi for a job or working but denied life and work at the same time. It becomes fairly strange. Denied education. As a Filipino studying in Canada, it’s kind of frustrating that a certain group of international students if you know, you know is ruining the immigration system, and the blame ends up on those of us who came here legally. Some Filipinos who chose to study here have already gone back to the Philippines because life here is difficult and we see no future anymore in Canada. Others have moved to the United States to work as nurses or to Singapore instead, because we realize that the money we invested in paperwork and tuition fees is no longer worth it. Meanwhile, we see many Indian students at school who only attend classes when there’s an exam or quiz.

Two hundred years ago, European culture became more prominent, but it was still a very different place from what we see today. Family values were strong, and who your family was often determined much of your future. Now, Canadian culture is changing once again. The arrival of Indian immigrants will inevitably influence Canadian culture, whether people like it or not. Some may try to resist—perhaps through a kind of “Trumpism”—but that will only provide temporary comfort. In the long run, Canadian culture will continue to evolve with the influx of newcomers. Today it is Indians; in the coming decades, it may be another nationality. The key point is to embrace change—and perhaps change ourselves in the process. For example, the rise in homelessness is tied more to social and economic issues than to immigration. Family structures among white Canadians are becoming less central in people’s lives, and religion is also losing influence. Parenting values are often shaped by fleeting psychology trends and “helicopter parenting,” leaving many children without the strong foundation they need. Perhaps there is something to learn from Indian immigrants about building families, fostering strong connections, and strengthening community ties. Thank you.

My family immigrated during the war, my grandmother came here after escaping a concentration camp when she was a little girl, her and my mother taught me to appreciate what we have, because it was worked hard for, they worked hard to make a living and a future for their families, they were given money by family that was here and paid back every, single, cent, it wasn't just given to them for free by the government while the rest of the people here suffer, so many of the people are brought here and given everything, it's like people have never heard the phrase "Give a man to fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for life." the problem is that they keep giving them fish, so now they expect it so much they damn near demand it... it sickens me. I'm a student right now, 15 years ago it felt like I lived in my home, proudly in Canada, with all kinds of people... now, I go to class, and I feel like I live on a different planet, everyone looks the same, with a hint of variety... American complain that they don't see White people much anymore, I complain because I only see ONE type of person now... nobody else...

I completely agree with the woman at 11:10 they should adapt into our culture and adopt our behaviours. It sucks though because a lot of the poojeets I’ve talked to have this attitude that Canadian culture doesn’t exist. They ask questions like “what is Canadian culture”? Or “what is western culture” like it’s some kind of gotcha question and therefore justification for them to behave however they like in our homeland. Unfortunately, I know several skilled workers with MScs and PhDs in STEM fields (e.g., Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or Computer Science) who came to Canada not only to pursue their degrees but also to contribute to the country’s scientific and economic development. Many of these individuals, including myself, end up leaving. \n \nSome leave because of systemic issues in the PR system, which often prioritizes candidates with limited skills or questionable credentials over highly qualified individuals who have lived, studied, and worked in Canada for 5+ years. Others leave due to the high cost of living, challenges in accessing healthcare, or instability in the job market. \n \nThroughout my time in Canada, I’ve met genuinely kind and hardworking Canadians who are understandably frustrated with the current state of affairs. The policies implemented by this government have created significant challenges that may take years to resolve. Unfortunately, this risks leaving Canada with a workforce ill-equipped to meet future demands, while losing both talented Canadians and highly skilled immigrants who could have been integral to the country’s progress.

Hello Sir, with due respect: i am an international student from INDIA, you are always welcome to stay in any of the 30 provinces in India! My question to you is, if an International student is spending 7000 cad each semester and completing a 2 yr program with total fee paid 28000 to 35000 CAD excluding the exorbitant rent like 1500 per month and grocery and personal tax, would definitely wish to get back some of the money they invested here in Canadian land, am i right? Would you be thinking the same way if you invest in India? Secondly, none of the employers are offering any white collar job or office job to these students unless otherwise they have Permanent Residency status here in Canada: the only way to get “PR” is to work for some pizza store or tim hortons- its not by choice, only jobs you have here in Canada for any students and now construction field too. So kindly don’t judge any international student from any part of the world on their skills. All we need is a way out by Planning our future. Lots of comments are on these kids: just imagine on a sports day or a national holiday or on a stormy day who will be serving you a double double? The only good Indians that came here came in the 70's and 80's they worked hard assimilated while maintaining and sharing their culture and raised good children they were polite, kind and helpful, what we have now is a bunch of asshole who need to pack their shit and leave before it turns to Canadian violence. My colleague, who is a temperary worker from Japan, told us she was kind of forced to watch some religious videos while she was working, and this guy kept telling her that he is kind of a big person who has the authority to issue Canadian visa to foreigners to come to Canada. He told her to contact him in the future when she needs visa to Canada. My collegue said he seems from India or related country.Not 100% from India. She just said he seems like. --- I would not believe that Canada has a immigration problem if i have never heard what happened to my colleague. There is so much problems in Canada, like young people facing serious drug issues, homeless issues, etc. Canada needs to deal with these issues. I came in June as a international student to Canada from a south east asian country, I came to Canada hoping to experience social values of a developed nation, but now I feels like I have come to India instead of Canada.. 97% of the classes filled with indians, acting like Indians.. most of them are unable to communicate in english and have no respect to social values. All the international students who comes from other countries have to go through various kinds of discriminations.. In future, I think, the Canadian government should ask for a Panjabi language certificate, instead of the IELTS. Because, english is the least used language in class rooms.

There are skilled immigrants here willing and able to work, already! They are the thousands of mothers who have absolutely no support with childcare. I know pharmacists, teachers, business graduates, and other professional women who are stuck at home. Schools have unreliable times, somedays school starts at 8:00 other days at 8:45, the children are let out at even worse times; somedays 11:30, other days 12:30, and sometimes 13:15. The kindergartens will call with every kind of excuse to have your child picked up early, and, of course, shortage of staff. And there is the asnwer to the problem! Educators are not paid enough and no one wants to become one I don't see how this will get any better in the future. It may be a good place if you are skilled and don't have a family, if you do, Germany is not a place for you.

We just left Canada 2 weeks ago. Now we’re in the US. Canada has gotten worse for the last few years or decades according to some. When we applied for Canada, all the prosperity was promising. It was like second or third option behind the US and UK. And now, after 7 years, we have decided to really act and do what’s best for our family and the future of our kids. The main reasons why we left Canada, it’s the high and doubled taxes, the very slow healthcare, you get to start to zero despite your decades of managerial experience, they don’t honor your diploma cuz they have their own standard even if your education or work is US standard, the housing and rentals are skyrocketing. Imagine if the rentals are increasing every year by $50-150 is insane. It’s just so inhumane. Back in my birth country in the Philippines, if you’re poor or low income family..the government don’t tax you. You get a high percentage of healthcare assistance and you also get some free social services including monthly allowance from the national government and another separate assistance from the local government. Canada is beautiful if you have money with all the good and kind people around, but the expenses, it’s gonna kill your pocket.

Essentially, they are finding ways to exploit their entry into the country, unlike my parents who had to wait patiently for years to come to Canada. I belong to an ethnic group. In the 1960s, when my parents immigrated to Canada, only a limited number of people from our ethnic group were allowed in. My parents were compelled to assimilate into Canadian culture to make friends. I had hoped to marry someone from my own ethnic group, but there were few eligible women. Therefore, both my brothers and I married Anglo-Saxon women. While I take pride in my parents' background, I do not live in a segregated community of my own kind. Instead, I reside in a mixed area and have no intention of bringing over 100,000 people from my village back home to Canada. Canada needs to restrict immigration until we get a handle on our housing and social services levels. Also, not all new immigrants should be allowed to move to Toronto or Vancouver. They should be sent to live in provinces such as Saskatchewan or Manitoba for the first 10 years. I am sure they need skilled workers. Also, would be forced to assimilate like my family did back in the 1960s because there would not be a massive enclave from their own culture in one area. Also, the reason my parents moved to Canada was their former country was Balkanized into different ethnic groups that exploded into a massive civil war. Canada might be in danger of that in the future. Certain ethnic groups don't tolerate certain policies that have happened in Canada. When they get to a large enough number all hell will break lose as they will have to culture and political power to fight back.
