As a German: respect for this speech, Mr. Trudeau. Trump's policies are a blow to the democratic world. Apparently the madman in the White House wants to come to terms with a lying murderous dictator in Moscow.

From Germany:\nRespect for this speech by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.\nWe Germans know such master races who think they can enslave and subjugate a people.\nWe are still suffering from it more than 100 years after the Hitler putsch in Munich. At that time, the NSDAP wanted to overthrow the Bavarian government and then seize power; that was the first attempt, but the second one unfortunately succeeded.\nNow we see how this is repeating itself in America, how an orange-faced clown wants to rule the world and change it.\nThere were some powerful men at Hitler's side, but the really dangerous ones were the followers, the so-called little people who had no say and finally got power over other people (neighbors, friends).\nThese little traitors who spied on people were the worst of all.\nWatch out in America!

German here, this speech was awesome!! I also liked the faces of the two representatives in the back and like they nodded all the time. We are happy and proud to have such friends. Let‘s stand together, the U.S. are not a part of the free world anymore at the moment.

First: sorry for my bad english. It is not my First language. \n\nThis speech was remarkable. No lies, no BS, just the facts. Wish we would here the same out of the White House. \n\nAs a german who knows about german history and how everything started back then I'm terrified how fast the United States of America are moving towards a dictatorship.\n\nEvery politician around the free world should be worried about what is going to happen if DT keeps doing what he is doing, which is undermining every treaty and contract the US is having with the rest of the world.\n\nAnd on a personal note: as a child I always dreamed of someday moving to the USA. After beeing there on holiday in 2017 and also driving to Canada to visit some friends, that dream changed.\n\nDon't get me wrong, I still love your country, but you elected the worst President for the second time! WHY??? You could have known what it would be like, everything was reported on by this network and many others.\n\nAs one commentator said: this is not going to end well. And I and most of Europe and the rest of the world are thinking the same and we are afraid of the things to come.

Hello from Germany We have very good political programs on television here. “Markus Lanz” is currently running. I believe that German citizens are much better informed about the domestic political situation than American citizens. And what is happening in America should be deeply concerning to the American people. In our assessment, the American administration under Trump, Vance and Musk is transforming the USA into an authoritarian state run by American oligarchs in which there is no democracy, freedom of speech or freedom of expression, information controlled by the state, fake news, etc. America is in great danger domestically.

Impressive, Mr. Trudeau! I wish we germans had a leading Politician, able to hold such a smart speech. Congratulation Canada!

As a German - apart from the content which is no less than justified - just technically comparing Trudeau´s speech with Donald Trump´s verbal outcome - what an incredible difference in niveau & tone. Isn't it almost tragic how little skill it took to run the U.S and even worse, how low the common-sense-threshold must be for a half of the American people to make this happen a second time. Embarrassing.
