Hey! Im a sikh that was born in canada, with my parents, grand father, great grand father also being in this beutiful country. I wanted to start of by saying a couple of things. My home was in brampton for a long time and I have personally seen the safety gone down, my family used to come back from trips with our garage open and everything would be completely fine. The long term sikhs and indians came and actually contributing positively and that can be seen with how good canada was pre 2020. Immigration too an extent was good, but mass immigration was never a good idea. In 2018-2019 the old time punjabi community was heavily against so many students coming in, so much so people that were indian had "no students" signs when renting their basements. It's sad to see people that came here running things so badly and ruining the effort and contributions made by many(I even face the consqeunces of things I have never done). Remeber don't be afraid to call out people for their bullshit, but also dont bash innocent people. Now many ppl came to canada and have done good like sikhs having the highest donors of blood, plasma, and platelets. We also giveway a lot in charity and food. A good news is Canada is cracking down on these bad people and quickly, and many good people who came are returning back home. I have seen a lot of videos online, but please remember algorithms and pushed media make things seem worse than they actually are. My message is I'm sorry for how these people are acting, my recent trip to Canada(brampton) I saw better quality service and more white folk too. Stay safe and god bless!

Since I was a kid and i saw people moving abroad and starting the new life, I only saw them going there in a better country to learn, adapt , and respect the laws and locals. We still do things or festival with our community or shared our cultures to create a multi-cultural events. We don’t lose who we are and our ethnic but we don’t bring them and force into new country. We can do our thing with families, in the house, or our embassy. We are welcoming people who wants to know our cultures but not like Indians. Indians are force and likes hey looks at me. It took me 12 hrs just to do normal reports in canada , and the normal clinic took 2 weeks just to give the results. And got my dr. Appointment after 2 months so, my parents were really worried and they immediately called me off to India and i ensure you that just after coming back in just one day my biopsy was done and results came in just 3 days . Hey most of the international students who come into the country join 2nd tier colleges and pay exorbitant amount of college tuition. (They can get better education in India than what they get in Canada for what they are paying and they joint shit colleges which no domestic applicant in their right mind would join), the only reason they pay that is so they can settle here and the government of Canada always made immigration policies that made it easy for international students to get a permanent residency so they can boost these shitty 2nd tier colleges who are not worthy. In my humble opinion to make it fair, I support tightening immigration laws that don’t encourage poor quality immigrants any further, but impose the law in such way it doesn’t encourage future immigrants by not impacting people who are already in the system and came due to this immigration hopes promoted by the government. (Indirectly through policies). You won’t find Indians doing menial Tim Hortons jobs in the USA, coz USA only gets and gives PR to Indian immigrants who add value to their country. I agree with you It’s not right for these students to stay, for that please also shut down your 2nd tier colleges where the domestic applicants are less than 70%. If they have no skills are attaining Canadian education should those colleges even exist ?

I know he rented it out for 2.200 cad in 2019, today it's probably close to 3.000 cad. That same 500sq ft 1BR.

Canadian (Albertan here) - yes, i don't think i'd move to the States unless it was reasonably close (maybe Montana) with fewer people - i'd like to identify as a Hermit :). I motorcycle and have travelled majority of the States, from coast to coast, and i really do like the country side and scenery, and history, that you run through. I do a 4000-6000 mile tripe every year or two - did Tennessee last year, and Colorado this summer. A lot of absolutely amazing country really, and yes some really great people as well. Have run into some real odd people as well and some places i wanted to get out of pretty quick. I do like the fact the US hasn't bought into this woke agenda and politically correctness - it's absolutely nuts up here. I like the gun laws in the States, too bad we're so screwed over that in Canada. Gotta love Trump - may be a bit of a bozo but hey - the guy lays it out and owns his shit, every other polititician plays the blame game and does everything politically correct... End of day, i'd prefer to stay in Canada, either Alberta or British Columbia.

I was born in the Uk and moved to Canada as a child in 1967. By 1992 I saw the writing on the wall and moved my family back to England. Now at 68 I see the writing on the wall again and we are moving to Portugal. You have to stay open and flexible in life as your life and countries change over time. Our kids and grandkids are in Denmark and England but hey a return ticket to Porto in Portugal from either is only £75 or $131 Cdn. They can visit every month!

Football isn't really big in Canada, some people watch it but it's not really popular. Soccer isn't big either but more people follow it.\n2. While Canada has a few political parties, it's essentially a 2 party, plus system. Where only the two major parties are ever in power, and a few extra ones are just there.\n3.
