The only reason you can use the term Immigrant is because the govt issued visas. But that being said the govt fast tracked the usual immigrant process which takes months to years. So in actuality this is not legitimate immigrants. It's unlawful what the govt has done and therefore these people are immigrants under cover of law. Or color of law. It's defacto. I call them illegal migrants. Most are not doctors or engineers or trades people even. Most are young men from 19 to their 30's. According to Investigative Journalist Joshua Philipp of the Epoch Times, Through visiting Darian gap, he found UN tents helping illegal migrants to get to the US. But they had to pass through cartel territory. They had to pay the cartels a fee or die or be raped or both. Yes it's brutal some things but apparently before Obama left office he signed an international agreement to import people globally from mostly Islamic countries and create open borders. We see Chinese, and many people from different parts of South America and even Africa crossing to the US. A lot of whom end up in Canada. So before they cross into the US they toss their IDs Especially if they are from countries that are flagged by the US as questionable or terrorist possibilities. So this leads to a lot coming to Canada. I'm sure you heard of Roxham Rd crossing? It's officially closed but people still cross into Canada from the US going through there. There's also piles of IDs at that border crossing also. Anyways these open border policies has cut out in depth screening so we really don't know who is in Canada as true asylum seekers or immigrants. To add to this complexity, over 300,000 Canadian travel documents have been stolen from CBSA Canadian Border Services Agency. 280,000 of those were blank Canadian passports. SO we really don't know who's walking on Canadian soil. This was confirmed by Luc Sabourin a former CBSA agent. I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??‍♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. When I lived in NYC, an African American aquaintance had just moved there after living in Berlin for 8 years. She warned me not to move here because I will never feel I belong. I didn't listen. I've been a caregiver for over 40 years and I just love it, but recently, I've been seeing a few people, including the HR Department and the people who hired me, try to surprise me bye popping up and the client was very upset because they didn't want to listen to her and a employee that was working with me,I wasn't aware of the problem situation that was going on, so basically I was set up with them saying that I wasn't taking care of the client honestly the client told them I've been helping them the most the employee said that I wasn't changing the client,,and I noticed that the trash Bin was being opened and I bought it attention to the client and she said be careful with the company and the co-worker that is working with us is lying on. Me and I brought it up to my supervisor and then she said that someone had said that I wasn't changing her underwear and she the client said that she would let the boss know but she came back from told me that I wasn't able to continue to work for them and I asked them why they said someone was coming from Africa to join their company and I Said that I'm not going to signing anything that is a lie ...

You're not correct about the Quebec government banning the hijab - actually they ban all forms of religious expression in clothes worn at work by public servants - so don't criticize us unless you get the facts straight. All countries are facing public health crisis especially in the aftermath of a global pandemic, you mention how long it could take to get an MRI - weeks/months, but it's no worse than in the UK, or other western countries. I do agree with you about limited competition in banking and tech - but we're still a young and growing country, however, look at the global recession that took place in 2007 - Canada was least affected by mortgage default, the US was hit the worst and hundreds of thousands had their homes foreclosed by the Banks, yet in Canada because of our strict banking policies we were saved and the Banks worked with defaulters to try to keep their homes. Taxes, well most countries require you to file your own taxes at the end of the year - what's so strange about that? Yes sales tax is added onto the sales price depending on what province and what you are purchasing, same as US, just because it's not the same in Europe doesn't mean it's worse! Listen, when you're a newcomer to any country you need to fit in when looking for a job, put in the effort, take the time, do the work, any country is going to expect you to be able to speak the language and know the lingo, so I don't agree with your analysis that Canadians are risk adverse! You are 100% correct about the housing crisis, listen it's been going on everywhere for decades, and international investors in the past 10 years or so woke up and noticed that Canada was a great bet for investment, so the problem got really bad. The government just passed a 2 year moratorium on non Canadians buying real estate - as have many other countries, so fingers crossed no more new foreign landlords just regular Canadians buying their first homes, let's hope so!! I've lived many years in Europe - and I loved it! But the quality of life in Canada is better. If you don't live in the crowded city you can have a nice property with lots of space, good roads, not bad school system, very friendly and helpful people. Quebec has some of the best food on the North American continent, we have clean air and lots of water in Canada - I'm very happy here, so don't be so negative please!

I'm a first generation immigrant and I'm disgusted by this video. Here they are, people who obviously came to this country as students, got their education here and now complain about healthcare, not being able to make enough money, segregation and their boredom. If not the sense of undeserved entitlement, then what's it? Do not listen to these immature, if not to say childish bloggers. Canada is the best, friendliest and warmest (even though our winters may be cold) place for new comers, who are willing to work hard for their future.

I'm listening to hear how Canada is not a desirable place to live, bc I have thought it would be a better alternative to the USA. But it still sounds better than life in the USA, if even just slightly. ?\nSo far, I hear 30% taxes on income (which is same in the USA).\nYou have free healthcare, however you have to wait in emergency room for 8 hours.....we DON'T have free healthcare....and guess what? $450+ later, we have still waited 4-10 hours in the ER. \nHere in the USA, our cost of living is insanely high compared to a single and even a double income. Our lowest rent is $1,200 to live in low income surroundings. A rent around $1,800/month will bring you to nicer surroundings in an apartment, but still surrounding areas have crime. \nFood costs are so high, Gas is so high. We haven't bought new clothes for ourselves in YEARS, only for our kids. \nDaycare is $485-500 month per child, even before and after school care. \nHealth insurance averages $145/per person per month, not to mention car insurance which is required to drive. \nSegregation has improved here but is ever being integrated back into our society as racism is kept very alive, even as they constantly teach it in the schools. They say it's to teach history but I believe it is just reinforcing racist ways and thinking patterns. \nI don't blame anyone for wanting to return to the comfort of their own people, language and living and country. \nYou may have us with the cold/hot weather in Canada! \nI didn't know about the Canadian passport being so opportunistic for travelling. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. Free health care you mentioned waiting 8 hours in emergency but you failed to mention if you need to see a specialist your talking months and you'll probably die first. As far as Canada being boring, where have you been? Being bored is a choice, I've lived here my whole life I'm never bored. Having said that I am retiring in Thailand where I can afford to retire. Wage in the USA is $7.50 US Funds a few states are better but states like New York and California where the min. wage is higher it also cost a fortune to live there. \n$7.50 US Funds = $9.80 Canadian Average Min. wage is 0ver $13.50 CDN Funds = $10.33 USD
