I’m absolutely not against you making videos on such topics, highlighting the abuse of the immigration system in both countries is important and above that, is your right to express yourself or report on. However, adding these unwanted tangents for clout and view baiting is not the definition of “independent journalism” that you claim to do. I was a huge fan of yours, but ever since you started making content about immigrants in New York City, you’ve gone down a very dark path. I hope you reflect on your actions and reconsider your outlook on the world.

Indians what the heck have you done? It's just the genuine ones that suffer. I'm an Indian too, fought to the skin of the tooth to secure Masters admission, paid over 50k CAD in fees. Was genuine in my effort & was able to secure a good job and I still have this ick at the back of the mind that I might be seen with disgust because of how tarnished our reputation is of lately, despite trying my best to contribute my fair share to the society, to this beautiful country. As a non Indian Canadian born and raised I’m disgusted where my country has gone. Our population has doubled since 1980, not by birth rate, but because of the amount of Indians that have immigrated here. Unfortunately, they have no desire to assimilate, they bring their own culture and they stay in their own communities. The government offers tax breaks for businesses, hiring foreign workers over people born in Canada, leaving the youth without any part-time work. On top of that some of my favourite restaurants growing up, I haven’t eaten at in years because it’s been taken over by Indians, the quality of food goes down, you end up getting food poisoning and if you aren’t in their community, you get worse service and get charged more than what an Indian would pay at the same restaurant. They don’t understand cleanliness or sanitation, they leave their garbage and waste on the street and dump it in random locations, and quite frankly have no respect for anyone who lives here or the country that has taken them in. I feel like a minority of my own country and I truly don’t understand what being Canadian means anymore because I’m pretty sure being Canadian is a thing of the past. Most of my friends have moved further north, to Vancouver island or moved out to the prairies to get away from them and higher prices as everything gets more expensive, thanks to our government, caring more about immigrants than citizens. When a family gets accepted to come here they bring their parents their aunts and uncles their brothers and sisters on temporary visas, they also collect social assistance as soon as they arrive and when their visas expire, they have no desire to go back, which has resulted in thousands of illegals remaining here. I mean I get it. Why would you go back when you’re getting treated better here and are given food, housing and an allowance every month but it’s gotten to a point where India outnumbers Canadians. I want them all sent back.

Yeah this is disgusting. Unfortunately this is not just a CANADIAN problem, but it’s happening all over the world (by the same people). I’m black but I easily feel like a double minority within the community even though I’ve been born and lived here for 25+ years. I’ve seen my entire neighborhood change (which was diverse in the 90s but still had that comradery and friendliness) change. It’s very isolating now.

They’re awful and need to go home. Can’t even call the bank without not understanding what they’re saying or eat take out food that doesn’t taste like Indian spices or walk down the street and only hear Indian music…my daughters class last year was only Indian and Arabic kids and the principal was Indian how are they gonna teach Canadian culture and education I’d ask what she did in school she said learned Indian dances. Yes these immigrants are very rude. They have no personality. I was in Walmart and the cashier of course an imaginant and she's so sour, and as my items are piling up .she said you have to pack these items away before I continue. In the meantime I'm getting my bags out and trying my best to hurry because the line is very long she's just standing there looking around instead of offering to help me pack up my groceries no ..... SHE doesn't do that. She's standing there. I found it very rude, disrespectful, disgusting and no help for another human being.. they have no compassion for our Canadian people. As I commented before , my parents came to Canada in 1966 I was just a baby , Canada had endless jobs in manufacturing, and especially in the construction sector , I will say that immigrants back then , Italians , and Portuguese really built this country , the men and women worked sometimes two jobs , no hand out from the government , no sick days , Canada was beautiful growing up , .. that’s how I remember it , other immigrants followed , from Poland , and then the Indians started to come in by the 80”s .. fast forward to now , I’m embarrassed of our country , it’s disgraceful and disgusting, the transition from back then to now , I feel like I’m living in India , dirty , scammers , gangs , thief’s , murders , ignorant , entitlement; disrespectful etc .. facts , one thing that I can’t wrap my head around is the language barrier , why are these people working in customer service ? Why are they accepted in these highly skilled positions? Just because you have the skill ? Isn’t knowing the language and being able to communicate a requirement regardless what job you have ? Why do I say this? Because here in India I personally know many people from Punjab and Haryana who go there. In both states, you can easily find many agents who reassure people that they can send them to Canada or the USA without much difficulty. You can also see the trend among Punjabis—many aspire to drive trucks and cars in Canada. In India, people often see Punjabis as if their only purpose in life is to go to Canada. I love Punjabi people, but I don’t like this mindset. 5. So, the people you see doing disgusting things are most likely illegal immigrants. Why? Because genuine people go there to educate themselves and contribute something meaningful to the culture—not to behave like those individuals. 6. I really hope Canada can recover from this. I have a friend who went there in 2015, and he once told me to visit the country. Canadians are truly amazing, and the natural beauty (except the winter!) is so nice. Please, Canadian government, take some steps for the well-being of your people.❤

I'm fifth generation born Canadian and this is not Canada anymore. It's a disgrace, disgusting, despicable and 100% CRIMINAL and pathetic that we have no rights or freedoms in our own country but illegal immigrants do! I can't even afford my life saving medication for diabetes and I get turned down for any and all government assistance, please explain how the hell that happens? They are literally killing us off one by one!

I'm pretty much exactly where that lady in the car is at. Enough to make rent, pay my monthly cell phone bill, and internet, but the rest? Not enough for food, no emergency funds if something breaks or needs replacing, etc. Can't even save and put money away. I sat down and balanced my budget, looking at what I could keep or toss. Figured out what to do for cheapening food costs as much as I could (without doing food bank), and the most I can afford for rent is $700 a month. That's basically a room in someone's house. That's it. As an Adult, I'm disgusted it's come to this. But what angers me MOST of all, is the Landlord's I gotta argue with. Surrey, BC used to be the cheap end of Vancouver. The welfare type housing, and low-income area. Then we had this huge book of Middle Eastern people come flying in at top speed, steam roll the community and make it theirs. They bought up all the cheap housing, ripped it down even though it was not that bad of a house, then built these custom 5-6 room mini mansions. The standards for the area skyrocketed, and the cost of their mortgage is likely also sky high because of what they built... So what do they do? Rent the rooms, force people 2 to a room with no privacy, and if you WANT a private room? Nearly $1000. Oh... And let's not forget the discrimination issues. If you're not going to temple or Gudwara, forget it. If you aren't pure vegetarian, forget it. And because all the other renters are "brown" and under 30yrs old, Adults are considered unwelcome. If you have a disability and don't work, you're automatically labelled a drug user (which isn't always truth). Even if you offer proof of income, and resources or phone numbers to call, they won't bother. Too much work. This sh*t needs to stop. I look in other cities near by, and it's happening in ALL OF THEM. I cant even relocate to get away from this crap. I'm done. I have no car to live out of, so that's not an option. I'm not a drug user, never will be but and all the shelters are now "low barrier". Screw that. So now what? Go back to work with a broken lower back?? Desk job search when I should be recovering and resting? Like, the suggestions are welcome, but be realistic. I'm in constant pain on heavy duty drugs to get by right now. No spouce. No parents or friends to leech off of. I feel utterly abandoned by our government.

I'm from the UK and I am very impressed with the Canadian Prime Minister's response, what a contrast from the felon in the White House. I have been researching which Canadian products are available here and will be switching to them and away from U.S products.
