As to the subject at hand, Canadians should not be responsible for immigrants or people claiming asylum health costs for anything past their first 6 months here. Going past 6 months indicates that they have yet to gain employment and are living off our backs. Those who are still here after being turned back should be located and sent packing immediately regardless of their present standing. For example, someone came here and was rejected but never left. Today they get picked up and now they claim they have a family here. They should still be removed because if they had left when they were supposed to they wouldn't have that family now would they. Yes, it may appear to be harsh but is it not harsh to use the funds provided by people who have a legal right to be here to support those who never should have been here?

If they work, file their taxes, don't siphon the system and talk to me in English then I do not care what they do in their own time. On the contrary, I wish them the best. Those who do not contribute to society and merely leech off of it are the true dregs. That said, there have been far too many immigrants in the last decade, regardless of origin. I've lived in my small town in BC for 37 years and somehow I cannot get a family doctor (I visit all of the local clinics annually and am on the provincial waiting list) while a lot of newer residents seem to have a doctor within months of moving here. I am glad I bought my house when I did, I would not be able to afford one today. I am not against legal immigration, just slow it down so the infrastructure can support it and properly vet those who apply. The system for deportment currently employed in the US is far too hastened and imperfect for my liking but the lack-of-a-system (or heck, acknowledgement) that this is even an issue by the current and previous Canadian governments is equally as concerning (arguably more, other folks can debate the politics of it).

Two generations ago (50-60 years ago) the Indians who came to Canada, with no family in Canada had excellent qualifications. They had to come with jobs waiting for them in universities, engineering firms, architectural firms and hospitals. The students were Masters or Ph.D. with full scholarship. They went on to build the country but they were minorities fighting the occasional racism on the street (as the woman in the green t- shirt says). Today, as a result of Trudeau's naïveté about the level of corruption in India, there's a huge influx of relatively unqualified Indians arriving and not being able to assimilate into Canadian society because they do not have good job qualifications. They end up living in ghettos and turn to crime. We must fix that by being much more selective of Indian immigrants. As someone of the Indian diaspora, I'd also like to say that there are those Indo Canadians ("brown folks") who want nothing to do with the Brampton or Surrey ghettos. Many of us are completely secular, having no religion and share nothing with these people fighting around temples and yelling at each other in Punjabi or Hindi. We speak English and French and vote in the elections.

At the same time, due to inflationary pressures, the government allowed international students to work 40 hours per week instead of the previous 20-hour limit. This created a new, ready-to-work labor force in just a year or two, heavily impacting the retail sector. As a result, a large portion of retail jobs shifted toward a single ethnic group, while many Canadian citizens found themselves sidelined. One key factor was flexibility. Many immigrant communities—particularly Indian—were more willing to accept irregular hours and last-minute shifts, often adopting a more compliant, “yes sir” attitude that employers found appealing. However, I’m already beginning to notice changes in the retail landscape, likely due to the government finally tightening immigration rules. Going forward, we don’t need to close our doors—but we do need smarter immigration policies, with proper checks and balances, to ensure fairness and sustainability for everyone.

The Canadian White Man will never accept that they themselves are immigrants and have destroyed the livelihood of the original inhabitants, the First Nation People and the Inuit, Metis, etc. What these White Skins say about Indians today is what the First nation people say about the white skins. The First Nation people cultivated the land, lived in harmony and took care of their society. The Indians do the same. The only odd man out here is the White Skins. But where the First Nations people lost the wars and were packed into Reservations, Indians fought, won and expelled the White Skins. Then the Indians went where ever the White Skins went. They always adapted to the native land, culture, language, customs and resources while also maintaining the connect to their land of origin. While White Skins converted the natives, the Indians adapted to the natives and also shared the cultural values. While the White Skins arrogantly executed the natives and exploited their resources, Indians learned to co-exist by adapting and learning. While the White Skins were busy profiteering from the misery of the natives, Indians shared knowledge, power, wealth, education and lived by ancient cultural values passed on from generations that have survived disasters, wars, misery and greed.

I live in Brampton. One small thing that bugs me is every year at Christmas time the grocery chain Sobey's does not respect this holiday. This woke crap company says "Holiday" and yet all year long put up signs in their stores about "Ed" and "Ramadan". They can't say the word "Christmas" !! Us white Canadians make this company what it is today, NOT these people from India. It's wrong. I really hate these woke companies. And thanks to these ignorant Indian people we are not allowed to do fire works on Canada Day because they had to ruin that for us as well by setting off fire works all the time at all hours of the night during their holidays. When my parents immigrated to Canada from the Caribbean in the mid-70's they held onto certain cultural customs, while assimilating to Canada. My father was very thankful to be here and was proud to be Canadian. Immigration today is not the same.

Two hundred years ago, European culture became more prominent, but it was still a very different place from what we see today. Family values were strong, and who your family was often determined much of your future. Now, Canadian culture is changing once again. The arrival of Indian immigrants will inevitably influence Canadian culture, whether people like it or not. Some may try to resist—perhaps through a kind of “Trumpism”—but that will only provide temporary comfort. In the long run, Canadian culture will continue to evolve with the influx of newcomers. Today it is Indians; in the coming decades, it may be another nationality. The key point is to embrace change—and perhaps change ourselves in the process. For example, the rise in homelessness is tied more to social and economic issues than to immigration. Family structures among white Canadians are becoming less central in people’s lives, and religion is also losing influence. Parenting values are often shaped by fleeting psychology trends and “helicopter parenting,” leaving many children without the strong foundation they need. Please stop mass immigration. The Canadian immigrants of today are not the ones of the 90's and early 2000's they come with no intention of assimilating into Canadian culture. Till that changes, we need to tighten our borders, especially to foreign students from the Middle East and south asia who are abusing our system.

The Canadian government should have anticipated and planned for this transformation much earlier. Whether they did not act, or could not act, is a question only they can answer but it is central to understanding today’s challenges.

Any person in Canada without the provincial insurance has to pay everything out of pocket. I just got my dads blood work done today and he is on a visitor visa. It costed me $750 dollars, and before that just a walk in visit costed me $$175 dollars. And about paying taxes, I garuntee you a single houshold of Indians pay more in Taxes than a whole street of these white shit heads. The amount of myths they have created around immigrants is astonishing. There is is a reason conservatives loves the poor and the uneducated. Everything in this video is the sad reality of today, I worked in a production of fruits and veggies, and the agency "immigrants" hiring were practically, eating food with their hands instead of utensiles available to everyone at said place to even praying infront of canadian employees about their own beliefs and old ways.... it's truly disrespectful to be surrounded by immigrants who couldn't care for 2 cents about the country they migrate too. I'm now unemployed, been searching for a job for the last 3 months and can't even get hired into a basic low wage job like mc donalds tim hortons or any of those because its filled with nothing but immigrants. I arrived in Canada 25 years ago. Yes, I am an immigrant — but I embraced this country, learned its language, and built my life here. Canadians welcomed me with open arms, and I carry deep respect and gratitude for that generosity. But Canada today is not the Canada of 25, or even 15, years ago. Our nation has changed profoundly. And because I love this country, I believe we must not be afraid to speak up, to protect the values and culture that make Canada the home we cherish.

Canada is not bringing in immigrants to work. I am a child of immigrants. My parents worked hard from the day they landed and given 0 from the government. Today, these "new Canadians " get free housing, free large amounts of money(which they use to send back to their homeland)...while we , born Canadians find it hard to pay our everyday expenses. Does this make sense.? The government has to stop handing out our hard earned money. Take care of your own first. And we have to endure bending to their culture not them learning our culture...our humility and kindness. This is not about to being welcoming to everyone , this is about calling out to the government start cleaning up this mess before we ( born Canadians) find ourselves without a country of our own.

My EI has run out, and during this stressful time, I have only had 4 actual interviews with real human beings. I am also a caregiver for both of my parents, and working remotely has been my profession for the last 7 years. Remote work allows me to both care for them and bring in a full-time income. Despite having 30 years of customer service experience, I find myself being overlooked. Many companies now use AI to prescreen resumes, so if your resume isn’t ATS-friendly, it often never gets seen by a human. Even if you make it past that stage, there are endless AI-driven assessments before you even have a chance to speak with someone. And when you finally do, it’s often yet another layer of screening rather than a real interview. I know I bring value — I consistently receive compliments from customers across cultures for speaking clearly, precisely, and making their experience enjoyable. Yet I find myself competing with younger candidates who can work longer hours, or new immigrants that companies often prioritize, sometimes with government incentives. At 55, I feel like I’m being overlooked despite my proven skills and professionalism. Right now, I live with my retired parents and should be caring for them. Instead, my father is helping me pay my bills so I don’t ruin the credit I worked so hard to build. If I don’t secure a job soon, I fear I’ll lose everything else I’ve managed to hold onto. The stress is overwhelming — I cry daily, and on top of everything, I also face health issues of my own, but I have no space to focus on them because survival takes priority. Canada today feels very different from the country I grew up in. Since the pandemic, things have become harder in every way — jobs, housing, and simply living. Even if I manage to secure work, rent alone now takes up nearly 75% of what I’d earn, not even including other basic bills. It’s disheartening to feel like no matter how hard I push, I can’t get ahead.

I'm a proud Canadian Immigrant of Indian origin. I came here to do specialized studies in Game Development. I took my time, and studied 6 years as an international student, paying 3x the tuition, sank $200,000 of hard earned money into the Canadian Education system — Not as a fast track gimmick to immigrate, but so I could achieve my dream as a Game Developer. This money was family income, earned on 1/4th the salary, taking 4x longer to save. I was a great privileged to me. Today 15 years later, no one would ever think I'm from India. I sound Canadian, I behave Canadian, I have Canadian values, and I am Canadian. I came here because I loved Canada. I would watch hours upon hours of indigenous history, and on my Citizenship day, I watched Juno Beach to celebrate. However I must say this... I suffered through s*icidal depression here for 8 years, because I had far less leverage here than in a developing country, and it's really telling what sort of situation we're all in... Rent caps in Canada were removed... The housing market was open to foreign investors / and real estate monopolies with a 20% year-on-year rise... Rents went from 1000$ to 2100$ MINIMUM for a 1 bedroom through Trudeau's term and the govt said "It's not a federal responsibility"... Auto insurance is like 2.5-3.5k a year in Ontario and if you get a dent, you pay a deductable... I was quoted 8500$ for two wisdom teeth surgeries while it costed me 260$ abroad... During Covid - property owners, banks, and grocery stores exploited our misery and made record profits!... The govt stopped filtering through it's immigrants with "interviews", and it's operating like a scam — "Bring all your foreign money, convert it to CAD, and keep our GDP stable.. while we neither have the infrastructure, nor the job market to support these numbers". I think some accountability is due... these issues are "symptoms", not the problem — The problem is our Liberal govt / policies, and our wonderful voting body who voted Liberal term after term after term while complaining. Why does this govt safeguard extremism, foreign politics, foreign separatism? Khalistanis are as much of a threat / nuance to India than it is to Canada, but in Canada they actually have a unrestricted platform. Instead of resenting immigrants, we need to start resenting how mismanaged Canada is by our govt, and hold our voting body accountable. We had a chance to vote differently, but once again a repackaged and rebranded Liberal term. Because my ethnicity is Indian, I've become an object of collective resentment / hatred, and I don't think that's fair.. Please direct it at your vote, and govt level policies. Why should I (and other's like me) be crucified with the sins of other immigrants? It's like hating all your neighbors in a burning building, when the management has been lighting the fire.

If elections were honest if they were we canadians rooted ones at that queen put my family here in canada after the wars grandfather fought and won both wars to give me what I had and now immigrants have taken that over government and people today wouldn't exist with out my grandfather . Politions dont know what war is... or how it reflects all candians still today . A lession to all politions get back to work . And have some respect . For people who got uou to where you are today . As an immigrant to Canada (in 1982), my family and I integrated into Canadian culture. That is what immigrants used to do. Yes, you can keep aspects of your own culture, but the expectation was that you become Canadians first and foremost. I don't see that with many new immigrants today. They just milk Canada for all it is worth and try to make it a version of their country of origin. I love diversity and multiculturalism, but it has gone way too far IMO.

Nobody tells that to your fucking govt. Before they issue visas like food stamps? It's not only the brown's or a particular race it's your govt. that has failed. See downtown Toronto, vancouver or probably any other province or city you got homeless white canadian's smoking phentanyl. I hope that's not canadian culture. I feel for that lady,I'm a home owner, but not for long, I lost my job due to a back injury, I went back to school for DZ and heavy equipment tickets, graduated 7 months ago and unable to find work, I spent all my savings, in 3 years. I saved $75,000 over my 40 years, just to lose it all to the economy we live in today. I eat once every other day. I will be homeless by winter. And I see all the immigrants wearing Gucci, driving nice cars, living the life Canadians deserve. I'm ready to burn this government to the ground. I'm about to lose everything and there's nothing I can do to save my life.
