As somebody from southern Indian state of Kerala , I don't relate to any of these. This is pure Punjab, the original Punjab that spreads across West India and Pakistan. First of all, Tyler is a hardworking journalist and I respect that, however a lot of this video was wildly ignorant, from almost everyone involved, including from him. People were actually selling "Beach $hitter" t-shirts because the problem was getting so common. Immigration is ok, but the amount of people the Canadian government has allowed into Canada, ALL from totally different cultural origins, in such a short amount of time was never, and will never be sustainable. In my opinion, Canada needs to full stop close its borders to anyone immigrating for at minimum 5-10 years, to allow the countries infostructure time to catch up with the masses of people who have already come into the country. But that will never happen with the liberals at the helm, they would literally get rid of the whole concept of a "border" if they could. Elbows up ya dorks!

It is also very hard when every single store; walmart; Fast food is all India. Other races will not be hired, so all we see are India taking over every taxi and every single job. I think it is important to realize that immigration comes in waves. right now we are seeing a huge wave of indian immigrants but eventually it will slow down and many will return home and a new wave will come. I think we often forget we are a country of immigrants. All of us have origins elsewhere, at one point the wave of immigration we came from caused "disruptions". Irish, Italian, Ukrainian ect. endlessly we were have waves of immigration. the best thing to do is learn about each others culture and realize we are all born under the same sun.

The problem is immigration back in day was a luxury in India so only riches made it outside and they were rich compared to others after independence because they were more pro british and served them. So it was easy for them to immigrate and assimilate into your culture. Now you see many poor people also immigrating because immigration became more accessible, its just like the touchscreen phones, before only rich people had them, but later and now everyone has it. Plus your overly liberal and the stupid point system lets anyone enter the country if they meet a specific criteria, they barely check their english, background, crime record, etc. Also, living in India is a survival, or a nightmare for short. Especially for the poor people in the up north, and so they go to these shady agents who claim that they can send him or her to Canada, UK, Australia where ever they want in exchange for some money. Sometimes these agents turnout to be scams and sometimes not, then these students apply to some fake university that has no campus in Canada and select a course thats easy. Then once approved they come to canada, don’t go to university and make some other indian friends who say they have contacts with some job providers and through that the students get their jobs at the fast food joints and shopping malls. The mindset with which these students come to Canada is that I want to get a simple job as soon as I land in Canada and through that job I can get a PR. They never go to assimilate or discover the culture, they come because the country looks nice, has resources, and will provide them with a good salary so that they send some money back home to their parents as compared to low paying jobs in India, which too are super competitive. They still like the indian way of life, the culture, the food, the attire, just not in India. Thats why you’ll never see these students eating at anything other than a Indian Punjabi Restaurant or a fast food joint, they will never make white friends, they will never try to change the way they speak and look at Canadians, they will never try to change their driving habits. In conclusion, more poor people and students migrating, paired with their mindset of “I want everything to be Indian just not in India but in a place that looks better” paired with their low interest in actually learning and working better jobs is what makes them a bad immigrant group. But thats not to say that all are like that its only some and mostly Punjabis/ other North Indians that have this mindset. The reason why the Indian group in USA is much better and successful is because they are mostly of south indian descent. Those people are far more educated, actually respect the law of the land. And fun fact: The stereotypical Indian Accent originated from USA mainly and reason why many indians say that they don’t speak in that accent is because that particular stereotypical accent is present in Indian people who come from the states of Andra Pradesh and Telegana, which is is where most of the Indians in USA are actually from. The problem I saw about Indian immigrants is that they brought the bad side of their culture like dumping garbage anywhere. Don't get me wrong, Canadians do that too but the scale of disregarding rules and essentially laws in Canada is appalling. I saw a video of them literally shitting in beaches. I applaud those who are still promoting the good side in Indian culture like helping the needy and treating everyone as human beings regardless of your race, religion and origin.

I am from India came to Canada legally (gone through 7 months of processing and waiting , submitted countless documents , photos , chat history to prove relation status and professional experience, literally submitted all my life story) to obtain PR and come to Canada just to realize that people without any of these come from different parts of the world especially India bypassing the system and living better life working cash jobs and doing random stuff. When i went to take driving license first time, An Indian origin guy rejected my application saying that my Indian License wasn't looking original enough , where I have seen people who couldn't even speak basic English were applying to get license to drive trucks. It is sad to see how many of our people are bringing a lot of 'Indianness' to this country and live like it is their own turf. I have met many young and middle aged individuals who call themselves students who doesn't even have a clue of what they are studying. It is unbelievable how people of certain status live their life partying and enjoying breaking all sort of rules , dropping out of college etc. when people who are here legally and many Canadians struggling to pay rent / mortgages / insurances etc. Don't even want to talk about job security , its a joke. Finally happy to see someone raising voice.

Pretty simple to understand. When you go somewhere, you're being welcomed by the people there. You depend on their hospitality, but any place can only be so hospitable; eventually you wear out your welcome, and that's happening with Indians very quickly. This is a universal pattern that happens in every country with mass immigration. You either respect a place and its original inhabitants, and show them gratitude for being there, or you prepare for conflict.

Change is bound to happen. The indigenous people were happy and making life for themselves until you guys came. This is just part of the cycle with the East Indians coming in. The new world was not originally white.

That said, there have been far too many immigrants in the last decade, regardless of origin. I've lived in my small town in BC for 37 years and somehow I cannot get a family doctor (I visit all of the local clinics annually and am on the provincial waiting list) while a lot of newer residents seem to have a doctor within months of moving here. I am glad I bought my house when I did, I would not be able to afford one today. I am not against legal immigration, just slow it down so the infrastructure can support it and properly vet those who apply. The system for deportment currently employed in the US is far too hastened and imperfect for my liking but the lack-of-a-system (or heck, acknowledgement) that this is even an issue by the current and previous Canadian governments is equally as concerning (arguably more, other folks can debate the politics of it).

Why is that all hate against Indians in Canada? Am not Indian origin , but what is wrong for Indian making majority in Brampton. Am black African living in Toronto , who love this country for giving me the chance to build my life and always I bless Canada and Canadians.saying all this , Do we not have a pocket in a city / town dominated by people whose origin traces all the way from Italy/ Portuguese/ Lebanon / Ukraine etc . But where the First Nations people lost the wars and were packed into Reservations, Indians fought, won and expelled the White Skins. Then the Indians went where ever the White Skins went. But the difference is that Indians never colonized the land. They always adapted to the native land, culture, language, customs and resources while also maintaining the connect to their land of origin. While White Skins converted the natives, the Indians adapted to the natives and also shared the cultural values. While the White Skins arrogantly executed the natives and exploited their resources, Indians learned to co-exist by adapting and learning. While the White Skins were busy profiteering from the misery of the natives, Indians shared knowledge, power, wealth, education and lived by ancient cultural values passed on from generations that have survived disasters, wars, misery and greed.

I live in Brampton, i am all for diversity but where is the diversity if everyone is Indian. I am French originally and i am in a minority of one! Let's be clear, the massive Indian increase in the population is due to Trudeau's immigration policy, the indians did not jump over the border as some of the comments suggest, they mostly came here legally, and this was done without broad agreement of the Canadian population as a whole. Canadian population went from being 30 million inhabitants to 40 millions in just over a decade, a massive population increase in a short time due mostly to Indian immigration with huge impact on housing , cost of housing, infrastructure, jobs, taxes, etc... The liberals have a lot to answer for the disaster which Canada has become in the last 10 years and yes they got rid off Trudeau, but they are still in power, stiffling the potential economic growth of Canada which should be a rich country instead of being a country where many people live from pay cheques to pay cheques.

I am an Indo-canadian who migrated from UAE 2 decades ago. Came thro proper channel of PR and became a citizen 4 yrs later. Qualified as a CPA burning the midnight oil, raised 2 kids thro Univ who are employed now. Trudeau, to be in power, joined hands with Jagmeet Singh. I know of a 2 shutter shop in Brampton East, registered as a college, which issued 4000 student visas. I wonder whether the Immigration dept checked on the college before issuing the visas. Now, we have students, whose visas have expired, whose families in India have mortgaged everything (primarily from Punjab, Haryana & Gujarat) who are here working for cash. I think we must revisit the files, track them out, see their educational background and give them opportunites. Indian origin folks must also educate their families back home on reality. With a growth rate of 7% + India is the country to be in, for these youngsters, to grow in life
